Bright Academy

School for gifted students is an understatement. Bright Academy was a school on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Felix Oppong was one of the over thirty students in the forty square kilometer sized college, for good reason...

MAKE ME TAKE IT BACK

Collins took the two cards he presently owned, one from that dude his electro skiffer sent to the emergency room and the other which he personally owned.

He placed the card with the bigger number on top and pushed a button as its number drained to zero and the other one's number increased by that much.

His electro skiffer began jumping and mounting his back frantically then he said,"Okay, okay, calm down, we can go and get lunch, does that make you feel better?"

It began screeching as a blue gem began to glow on its chest, then there was a violent explosion from within his apartment.

"Ahh, Arnold."Collins said.

Alexa looked at my dad as he lay on the floor and looked white as snow, I almost cried seeing him like that, he was basically dead now.

She placed her hand on his head and a white, web like pattern formed as a grey vapour arose from his head.

Then she stood up and said she was done.

I picked him up and thanked her, then she said,"If we're going to totally heal him, we'll need to practice."

She then announced to everyone, as leader, that we weren't going to search for the next person on that day, we were going to train and obviously Yokkan was excited.

I looked at Corma as she read a huge spell book and wrote in another one, she was deciphering the code.

I walked to her then asked,"Do you think you could start practicing barrier breaking spells?"

"Well, yeah, why?"She asked.

"I..had a dream."I said.

Corma pinned a piece of paper with an inscription on it on a board.

She was trying to connect sensible sentences with proper tenses, plural and singular forms and basically, structure, in the language of magic.

But it was so confusing as she had no references but her spell book, no teacher but her own notes and there were several different types of magic with different languages.

She sighed then took a pen and began writing the inscriptions from paper to paper.

She then groaned and scribbled over it and slammed her head on the table.

She lifted her head up when she felt a slight vibration, then realized the floor and walls were shaking.

She was about to leave when she realized her gem was glowing brighter than usual and before she could wonder, her spell book began flipping over haphazardly.

She placed her hands between the pages but it still strained to open to a particular page, she slowly let go as it flipped on and on then went to the hundredth and ninety fifth page, then it went on again, to the two hundredth and third and finally, the two hundredth and thirteenth.

She was confused and stood up, trying to make sense of it till the letters of ink on the spell book began peeling off and floating in the air, before all the books in the shelves flew off and started fluttering around and pecking at Corma in a vortex like pattern.

She screamed for help and immediately Alexa ran in...

Leaving all our dead weight in an abandoned mansion I found in my own universe was actually very helpful, I kept Indigo in a well made room, any artefacts we kept, our own stuff and we even went there whenever we were in the mood, since I was the only one capable of inter dimensional travel at the moment, I was all our only transport, and it was hectic, I must say, but looking in that very universe I was in, for the wielder of the crystal of Darkness, was like looking for a dark matter in space.

The world seemed normal, so much so, no one found my strange clothing choices weird, or the pale pink creatures following me wherever I went, or at least, I thought.

This world, though similar to mine, seemed to be back under monarch rule.

There were LED screens all around posting pictures of a young man with curly red hair and grey eyes, thin and short, he had a miniscule appearance but a seemingly maximal effect in society, the people feared him.

I had no idea how I was going to find that Black guy, so I decided we split up.

Of course Yokkan wanted to move with his newest crush, the beautiful woman like creature from his own universe, who seemed to be of an entirely different species from himself, but what could I say? Unlike poles attracted, at least one did.

When I tried focusing on my water vision, again, to at least, get close to finding him, again, yet, my efforts were futile.

I sighed then sat down on a bench as people passed by, going about their daily business, then I saw something... questionable.

' Why is that boy's shadow acting differently from him? And how is that woman's gold plate broche floating in the air, by the action of the shadow? ' I grinned.

I slowly walked closer to the scene and it seemed like whatever the boy's shadow...and other people's shadows, did to the shadow of something else manifested in real time to the object that casted the shadow.

The shadows seemed to absorb whatever object that floated into them instantly then reverted back to normal, with the owners of the rogue shadows being blamed for the discovered crimes instead.

I wasn't sure if any of water's memory properties could help me track down shadows, so I thought of something else.

When several pounds of gold were just stolen from a rich couch potato, I tracked down the water molecules trapped within the warm, humid environment of the sacks then brought them back and used the coordinates of their last journey to hydroteleport me there, which technically used their memory properties.

I ended up in the outskirts of the town, where a small child was holding some coins of gold from that very bag, not only her, but several poor and needy people were holding stolen goods and praising the Shadow Hunter, whoever that may be.

I wanted more intel but, no one had seen this Hunter before.

Bummed out and tired, I was about to give up and call it a day when I sensed something watching me and turned around, to look at my own shadow.

I squinted my eyes then yelled as I fell right through the ground, through my own shadow.

I landed in the hallway of a palace, the very one atop the hill.

I scanned my surroundings and sensed someone literally appearing, walking out of a wall from behind a curtain.

He didn't look familiar, with bright blonde hair and silver eyes.

I then asked,"Who are you?"

"Who are you? And what are you looking for me for?"He asked.

"You're the shadow hunter?"I asked,"You don't quite look..."

"Look like what? Dark? Gothic? Well let me tell you that stereotypes are the reason insignificant universes like the one you crawled out of are forgotten in the Multiverse, deserving eternal damnation."He said bluntly.

"Hey, hey, my whole family and even race comes from there, you take that back."I said, getting slightly angered.

"Make me..."
