FORBIDDEN FUTURE

Lilith remembered the approximate location she sensed Frankie's father in so told us about it.

I decided it safer for Anneliese to stay behind because of our baby, and Lilith also wanted Apollo to stay back due to a premonition she felt.

We went to the isolated town in Finland and saw the small, abandoned neighborhood she led us to.

It looked like a ghost town and we were confused as to why anyone will be wicked enough to keep Franklin in such a place, I knew he was obnoxious but that was too much.

I realized I could sense everything in all the buildings from well over two miles away apart from one, a barn, I could sense it from the outside and knew its shape and appearance but couldn't tell what was inside, that was a good place as any to start searching.

When we got closer, I could sense that the walls of the barn were enforced with some material I couldn't tell, but there was almost no water in it, it was basically invisible till I zoomed in to sense its amazingly compact noncrystalline structure, it was probably an alloy, one I had never seen before.

Not only that but the dovetail joints were fitted together like jigsaw puzzle pieces, somehow like the elytra carapace of the Diabolical Ironclad Beetle(its not made up, or a monster, they're basically indestructible).

I told the kids to stay behind me then I vanished and within a fraction of a second, I appeared a little ways closer to the barn walls...that was weird.

I tried again but I kept appearing slightly ahead of where I was standing before, till I was touching the wall, then I just kept appearing in the same place.

' What's wrong with my Hydroportation? Is it like broken or something? ' I wondered.

"Dad, I think this is just the entrance, they're underground."Lilith said.

I looked at her, confused till she said,"This wall is made of titanium, carbon and something I can't recognize, it has a vacuum on the inside and there's an elevator in the vacuum."

That could explain why I couldn't Hydroteleport in, I had never tried doing that to a place evacuated of all water.

I smiled at her then asked what I should have done differently, she then walked closer then touched it and said,"It's deep underground and it's very difficult to sense everything but, I'm sensing a person in a cage made from something I can't recognize and another person who is in armour...no, he is the armour, his body is somehow intertwined with it."

"Like a cyborg?! Cool!"Frankie yelled.

I silenced him with a Hydro Boom right before Lilith's eyes darted open, she then walked back and the walls of the barn started dislocating and unfolding like some kind of unwrapping origami.

I then sensed the person... cyborg Lilith was talking about and wondered why I couldn't sense him while he was underground, or maybe that was another limitation to my Water Vision? But I had always been able to sense the water in soil, underground rivers and underground water tables, so that wasn't it.

A man in armour walked out and I widened my eyes when I saw him, he looked exactly like...

I slowly walked closer to him but he remained motionless.

Lilith looked just as happy as I was, but confused just the same.

I touched his face then called,"Alex?"

"No dad, I'm Apollo..."He said.

I sat down on the chair which just appeared behind me then took a sip of the sobolo that he served us with.

I asked what was going on then he said,"I'm not from this time and have broken almost all the laws of the twenty six dimensions by coming here..."

' Wait, twenty six dimensions? ' I wondered.

"...but I had to, I came from the future, a future where the world was utopia, everything was perfect, at least for enlightened humans...an extremely powerful enlightened human led a war, where all the normal humans of the world were either killed in the worst possible ways, or enslaved. Men, women, children alike, were all put to this terrible fate, the world's population was depleted. I tried to stop her but, she took my lights, then my life, I had to be brought back in this form and made it my mission to stop that war before it began."

"Of course, we'll do anything to help, but who is this enlightened human?"I asked.

He looked beside me then frowning deeply, pointed and said,"Her."

I looked at Lilith who was just as confused as Frankie and I were.

She pointed to herself then asked,"Me? I'll never use my lights to hurt anyone."

"How I remember you saying that right before stabbing me in the heart."He then said.

She started hyperventilating and I stood up then said,"Then we'll keep her from ever becoming that woman, I'll do everything to..."

He looked at me in a face devoid of emotion, that reminded me of my father and made me shed a tear.

He then said,"I came to wipe out all lights and what she stood for before something like my future could happen, the only way you could help me is by getting out of my way."

I looked at him with a serious expression then said,"Then I can't help you."

He then said,"I wished it wouldn't have to come to this..."
