1st PoV

"We also have to investigate the ritual. After all that may be the ritual that the Undead King did to become an undead. It would be dangerous if a normal middle-aged man could turn into magical beings which have the power to rival Elite Wizards." I said.

All of them nodded their heads and we went to the cursed village to find more information.

Iris used multiple types of magic to check what type of ritual it was. It has some symbols and some writings.

But because this ritual was done centuries ago, they are not clear enough to decipher them easily.

I then inspected the house while others were watching Iris checking the ritual. I first went to the bedroom, the only room other than the room where the ritual was formed. There was nothing. Just a room for sleeping. I was about to return when I saw something glimmer under the sunlight. I quickly surrounded my eyes with mana and reviewed the place. It was just a book. But a very old one.

I read the title. "Magic and its dangers". Reading the ominous title, I chuckled. I then open the book and read the contents. It had Spells, rituals, potions, magical items, enchanted items and Chaos energy.

Seeing the chaotic energy, I quickly muttered "Manipulation Magic Light Manipulation Invisible".

The book was invisible to everyone as it was safely inside my bag. I went back to the room and Lily asked "Did you find anything ?".

I denied it and sat. As I was watching Iris use complicated spells, the ritual lines glowed. I then heard the sound of glass shattering as the ritual exploded. We were all thrown out of the hut as the hut exploded. Since I saw it happen I was alert so I didn't take as much damage as the other. The one who got hurt the most was Iris as she was in the middle of observing it.

I found everyone and asked, "Is everyone ok? Are you able to move?".

Noah slightly hissed in pain as he said "I am only slightly hurt, I can move".

Lily said, "Me too since we're in the back we didn't get injured other than some scratches and bruises".

I then looked at the condition of Iris. She was bleeding all over the place. She had multiple other injuries. She was also unconscious. Seeing the condition of Iris, I took out my phone covered it with mana and clicked the call button. Instantly a tear in space came as I carried Iris and entered it. Both Noah and Lily followed. I quickly ran to the hospital.

The nurse came as she saw the condition of Iris. She immediately called the doctor and came quickly and finished the job. The doctor then said, "Mr Adair you have to take care of her for a couple of days. Make sure to give food other than porridge".

I said "Okay" and sat down beside her. Noah and Lily did the same. I followed her as I said to Noah and Lily to go home and take care.

After waiting for a few hours she woke up. As soon as she woke up, she was hyperventilating as she was muttering. I tried to calm her down. After a few minutes, she was in a panic mode as she said in a frustrating tone "I have to leave. The ritual is such a disgusting thing. I have to report this to the King".

She then left, as she went to the castle to inform the King. Seeing her in such a panic, I knew the matter was serious. I followed her to the King's Castle and she opened the door without knocking.

The King was surprised to see Iris opening the door like that.

Iris then said, "The magic remover ritual has been done." The King dropped his pen upon hearing this and stared at Iris in shock. The King asked, "Is your information correct?". Iris replied, "Yes, we may lose the powers within 15 minutes. We don't know if only magic, we will lose. We may lose chi as well. The already casted magic will still work, I think".

"Thank God, if the already cast magic doesn't work, we all would have died as we are in a pocket dimension". The King said.

The King then ordered "Iris, ask all our people who are outside to buy large amounts of food from outside. Then call back all the forces that are outside. When they are back, ask them to distribute them in the supermarkets. Axel you go and ask all the supermarkets to use preservation magic to preserve the food. Do these things quickly we do not have much time".

Hearing the King w both split up and went to do our tasks. I ran to all supermarkets that are nearby and told them about this order from the King. They quickly did what I said and spread the word to all other supermarkets.

As I was walking back to the castle, I saw Iris at the castle. I quickly used speed acceleration and caught up with her. The. I asked, "What the hell is going on? What do you mean we will lose our magic".

Iris hearing this said " There was a myth a long time ago. The Undead King wanted Magic and immortality which is why he did the ritual and became hateful to living beings. After doing this he also does one more ritual. The ritual will cancel our ability to use magic. Only Undead King's subordinates and other magical beings will be able to use magic. But it did not work, as he accidentally added a new substance to his ritual. Which caused the ritual to activate in the future. This ritual is activated now. This ritual is very old and some of the substances are missing so the effect may be gone. But still, it doesn't hurt to be cautious."

As Iris finished talking, we were in front of the King's Office.
