Mana Strengthning and a Fever

The next day. I did the same morning routine. Then I exercised for half an hour. The. I ate my breakfast. Taking a small break to read books on Mana and its theory. Magic follows most of the laws in science and in life. But sometimes the rules are broken like Gravitational magic.

Then I started reading Books on Mana strengthening. This means to increase the potency of magic. Mana control is for the control, stability and makes the spell cost less mana.

To do Mana strengthening exercises I need to do sealing magic to a level that I can seal my mana.

Under the stress that the mana is in the seal. When we are using it like that it will force the mana to regenerate faster and try to break the seal.

But sealing is really hard and hardly every few use it. But the effects are worth it from what I have heard.

To do sealing magic I have to learn Mind magic. Of course, this is also hard to do. That is why rarely anyone uses it.

To do mind magic first I have to clear my mind and surround my head with mana. Then I have to project a vision. That vision could be anything. But from what I have read the vision may contain the memories of your loved ones.

I sat in a meditative pose and then I took a huge breath. I started pulling the mana from my mana pool to my brain. This is so easy. No, even clearing every thought in your mind is hard on top of that there is another difficult part which is to take the mana and cover your head with it from the outside at the same time.

I tried this for 10 hours a day for 4 weeks. It still hasn't succeeded. It frustrated me that I started having brunches and skipping dinner to have more time. At this time I read tons of books on it and some of them said that the vision may be so happy that you wouldn't want to wake up from it but after a while the vision will go away. If you unlock mind magic that way you will not be able to do sealing magic. But if you do break the illusion or vision then you will be one of the strongest Mind magicians in Utopia.

On that last try, I succeeded. I saw a moment of my life. I saw my dad and my mom sitting in my favorite restaurant eating a steak. Then the vision slowly changed from that to my parents congratulating me for getting a job. Then I couldn't see the face but I was married to a blond. I could see Zach, Lily, Noah and my parents in the church.

Then the illusion got broken because I remembered this was just an illusion. Me, Axel Adair getting married. What a joke, as if anyone might like me. Again I got it wrong for not liking me. I don't even know if someone will care if I disappear from this world. All the people I know and like have even already left me. All I have now is those 4 Iris, Zack, Noah and Lily. But I am sure they will not care that much. I sighed as I unlocked Mind magic but I didn't feel happy as I easily broke the illusion because of these thoughts.

I started doing a breathing exercise as shown in the book. Then I started focusing the mana on my forehead then I started transferring that energy to my hand. As I was doing that I passed out.

Then I woke up in my bed. I had a wet towel on my forehead as I saw Iris taking the towel and switching it with a colder one.

I asked, "What are you doing? Why do I feel so weak?".

After that, I didn't have the energy to talk. But I could hear Iris saying while bumping my head "You stupid person. You should be careful using Mind Magic alone. You will have a huge headache and you may have a fever as your body is weak. As you are sealing your magic. You should be more careful…." She continued scolding me for hours but I felt happy. I forgot this feeling. The feeling of someone caring about.

Then I heard Iris say something "You should do these things with professionals like me I will be able to help you."

I nodded as I didn't have the energy to talk. She then said "You will practice with me tomorrow morning until noon. And no arguing about me only needs to come for a few minutes. This stuff is dangerous. This is a rule. You have to understand that." I nodded as I got defeated by Iris. She then heard sounds coming from my stomach I had an embarrassed look on my face. She then asked as if she didn't know the answer, acting like an innocent girl "Are you hungry, Axel?".

I calmed myself saying everyone has a day and I will have mine soon. But due to hunger I couldn't reject her so I said "Yes".

She had a small smile on her face as she took a bowl of porridge she made.

She took a spoon and started feeding me. I couldn't do anything due to hunger and the inability to move as I opened my mouth to eat.

After taking care of she left when my fever went down. I slept that night with a smile on my face.

The next day I did my morning routine, ate breakfast and took a rest. I caught up with everyone. Lily made significant progress on her Wind Magic. She could fly and make drills and throw things far away.

Noah made the most progress as he could control his magic almost perfectly but the power behind is really bad as he focused on control. Every time he increases his strength his control will go and he will have to make his control good again to practice it. This is the trick he used to train. He could distort things in any way he wants.

I was jealous of him as I have to strengthen my mana to start doing spells because Manipulation Magic is weak without using Mana Strengthening.

Even Iris made some progress as she went on another mission.
