Eiji’s Birthday

There are only two Jujutsu education institutions in Japan dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Jujutsu Sorcerers.

Tokyo Jujutsu High and Kyoto Jujutsu High.

These twin schools are considered pillars of the Jujutsu community in Japan. They are both responsible for training students and assigning missions to Jujutsu sorcerer experts.

Currently, Gojo Satoru is a second-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High.

The two people accompanying him are his classmates, Geto Suguru and Ieri Shoko.

From what Eiji heard from Shoko, only five students, including Satoru himself, are enrolled in the 2006 class.

There are several reasons why the number of Jujutsu High School students is very limited.

Firstly, only about 1% of the human population has the ability to see curses. Of that number, only a small portion has the potential to become Jujutsu Sorcerers.

Secondly, Jujutsu Sorcerers have a low life expectancy. They have to face powerful and dangerous Cursed Spirits and often sacrifice themselves to protect others.

Thirdly, some Jujutsu Sorcerers abuse their powers. Instead of eliminating Cursed Spirits, they harm and kill humans for personal gain.

With these three factors, it's no wonder there are only a few Jujutsu Sorcerers.

One of the rooms has been decorated with birthday decorations.

On the table, there's a birthday cake with candles shaped like the number 5, indicating the birthday person's age.

After the song ends, Eiji blows out the candles, and everyone present applauds.

"Happy birthday, Eiji-kun. Here's a gift from me."

Suguru reaches into his jacket, takes out a not-too-large gift box, and hands it over.

"This is a gift from Onee-chan. Eiji-chan will surely like it."

It's Shoko's turn to present the gift she prepared.

Seeing the box has a glasses logo, Eiji doesn't need to guess its contents.

Opening the box, there's a pair of wayfarer-style black sunglasses.

"Satoru, are these the same as yours?" Suguru confirms.

Pushing his glasses up, Satoru proudly says, "Yep. These glasses are specially made to dampen the effects of high-level vision from the Six Eyes. The lenses are very dark, so anyone else wearing them won't be able to see anything."

While Satoru is boasting about his gift to Suguru, Shoko puts the glasses on Eiji.

"How is it, Eiji-chan?"

"I—"

Eiji's words are cut off. Instantly, he feels an incredible pain, a pain that makes him scream loudly.

"ARHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...."

"Eiji-sama!"

Naomi, who is standing guard outside, rushes into the room, seeing Eiji holding his head and showing a face he has never shown before.

"Satoru! What happened?"

Suguru restrains Eiji from behind, stopping him from thrashing.

"Do something quickly, Satoru!"

Even Shoko, who is usually cheerful, now shows panic.

Satoru takes off his black sunglasses; with the Six Eyes ability, he sees the flow of Cursed Energy inside Eiji's body.

With supercomputer-like thinking abilities, Satoru finds a solution to Eiji's symptoms in just a few seconds.

Shoko places her hands on Eiji's head, then transforms the negative nature of the Cursed Energy into positive.

Reverse Cursed Technique is a process that requires two sources of Cursed Energy.

These two Cursed Energy are then multiplied, and the result is positive. Simply put, like a formula in mathematics, if a negative is multiplied by a negative, the result is positive.

Cursed Energy produces negative energy, and when two Cursed Energies meet, positive energy emerges, which is then called Reverse Cursed Technique.

Only a few Sorcerers master Reverse Cursed Technique.

Even Satoru and Suguru, considered the strongest students, cannot understand the principles behind Reverse Cursed Technique.

The main reason is that Shoko cannot explain the principles of Reverse Cursed Technique well.

"Phew..."

Naomi sighs in relief after seeing Eiji gradually calming down.

"Satoru, are you sure there's nothing wrong with your gift? If I had been late in using Reverse Cursed Technique on Eiji, his brain would have suffered permanent damage. In the mildest case, he would become vegetative, and in the severe case, he would die."

After making sure Eiji is okay, Shoko looks suspiciously at Satoru.

"Calm down. Eiji is just tired because he previously suffered a brain injury. He's okay."

"Thank goodness. In that case, excuse me; I will escort Eiji-sama to his room."

Holding Eiji's light body, Naomi bows to Satoru and the others, then leaves the room.

"This is troublesome. The old man will surely ask for my explanation."

Eiji's scream was so loud; Satoru is sure everyone in the Gojo Family heard it. He will definitely be held accountable by the head of the family.

"Sigh. The birthday party ended in chaos. It's not good to waste food." Shoko says helplessly while carrying the birthday cake and leaves the room.

Suguru gathers it and Shoko's gifts on the table and says, "I'll leave these gifts for Naomi-san."

After that, he leaves, leaving Satoru alone in the room.

"Hey, aren't we friends?! Don't leave me alone! At least accompany me when I get scolded!" Satoru shouts.

Not long after, members of the Gojo Family gather, including the head of the family.

"This is troublesome." Satoru says helplessly.
