Chapter 29: Old Man Ani/Brother

We held our breaths when we went into the tree. Then finally when we came out we could breathe again. "Sigh." We sighed at the same time then giggled. "Do you recognize this place Arson?" He looked around and said, "A little. It reminds me of a place near masters house." "Oh good lets go then. Do you know how far it was from here?" "No I just have a feeling its close." "Ok then lets go." So we walked straight ahead. We walked for a long time until finally we saw a weird looking house. "That's masters house!" said Arson excitingly. "Oh is it really? Finally." I saw him looking strange. "Is everything ok?" "Yeah but something seems off about it. lets hurry. I have a bad feeling." We knocked on the door. (Knock Knock) "Hello sir. Its me Talia. you were expecting me." Then we heard a big pop and someone coughing. "Cough cough. Be right there." "Was that the bad feeling?" "Haha yeah that's master for you."

Finally the door opened and our came a man that didn't look old at all he just looked closer to her age. "Sir you wouldn't happen to be Ani would you?" "Oh sorry no. I was helping him with something but he must have done something wrong and it went pop." "You must be his assistant." Said Arson. "Yes I am. Oh sorry my name is Zoren. Ani has been expecting you Arson. Princess Talia." "Oh no formalities please." "Oh ok then just Talia it is. Come on in. Sit here and wait I'll be right back." "Yes sir thank you." Said Arson.

A few minutes later A man that looked as old as my father came out. "Hello sir." "Oh hello your highness." "Oh please don't. I don't rule here just call me Talia." "Ok sure. Hello Arson. You don't look a day over 100." "Haha funny master since its you who put me in there for 200 years." "Yeah well I had to you know it." "Well sir there is another reason I am here other than Arson." Then the ghost finally showed up. "Arsons grandfather from his fathers side has a few words for you." "Oh is that so? I had heard he died recently. What does he want to tell me?" "Well first he wanted to tell you that when he heard you trapped his favorite grandson in a tree he was mad at you. But near the end he understood your reasons. Try not to cause too much trouble I'll miss you kid." Then she repeated what he said. "I'll miss you too gramps. Go and be with your bride now." "Hehe I will. I love you kiddo." "I love you too gramps." Then his spririt ruffled Arsons hair and he felt like he felt it. "Bye grandpa be free." Then he disappeared. "He's gone now." "I know."

Meanwhile at the elf village they met their brother and went over and hugged him. "Woah you two. Aren't you too old to be running and knocking people over." Said Arion. "Sorry we just missed you. You hardly come over to visit anymore." "I know sorry. I've been busy. When mom moves over here you will get tired of me." "Haha. Yeah that's true." Said Adrian. "Hey I'll never get tired of big brother." Said Kida. "Yeah you say that now. How is dad and baby sis doing?" "Dad is fine. Little sis is the cutest thing ever. She looks a lot like dad." "Oh really? She must be getting big." "Yeah she is. Poor dad. She is tiring out the old man." "Haha that's to be expected." "Ok why don't I show you both to your rooms." "Ok cool." So he did just that and said, "Ok so mom told me the deal you are here to meet Rin and Lindir right?" "Yes we are." "Ok they are waiting for you in the music room and the moment. I will be checking on you in about an hour or so ok?" "Yes brother. Mom told us you would be watching us." So they went to the music room and Arion did his own thing.

Back with Arson and his Master Ani. "So the reason we were here today was because of gramps but since we are here we can get the other business taken care of." "Ok we can give it a try. So Arson. Do you know why I put you in there?" "Well sort of. You put me in there because I acted out right?" "If your talking about acting up in a bad way you are correct. The last thing you did I had to put you in here. You were starting to do dangerous things I had to stop you." "I see. I'm sorry. I was stupid. Will I be able to go home soon?" "Well what do you think Talia? You think he is ready?" "Me? You want me to decide? Well like you said his body is changing I don't know what he was really like back then but we can take him home and give it a shot." Arson had a big smile on his face. "Thank you Talia. For everything." "Oh no problem. Plus I'm taking you home in the first place." "Oh yeah I forgot. Cool you can meet my mom and dad. Oh I forgot to ask how is my brother doing?" "Relax he is fine. Your parents have been worn out since you left. Most likely from you gone. Once you are back I hope they go back to normal." "Um master. How exactly are you going to watch me? Are you going to move to the village?" "Well not exactly in it but I will move close by." "Ok cool." "Well shall we go then?" "Yes I want to see my family again." So the old man and his assistant saw us off and I followed arson.

Arion was doing some paperwork when he got called to help someone. He wasn't expecting to know who it was then he was shocked. "No! Kida! What happened?" "We are in danger. I don't know where Rin and Adrian went I am sure they are in hiding as well. I thought she was right behind me." "Ok this better work. Hang in there sis. Please don't die on me. Please you have to live."

"Broth….er." She said Weakly. "Your ok your going to be ok please be ok." He said worriedly. Then she closed her eyes. "No!" You go get the experienced doctor now!" "Yes sir right away." Then man ran and minutes later the doctor was by his side. "What happened here?" "Doctor I did what I could was it enough?" Arion stopped and let the doctor have room to check on her. "Relax Arion. She passed out because of the pain. You did a good job." He fell to his knees in relief. "Oh thank God. Thank you doctor." "It was you who did the work. Thank yourself." Then the doctor left and as he was carrying Kida He said, " I need someone to watch Kida. I need 2 Guards." "Yes sir right away." He carried her to her room and stayed there until there was a knock. (Knock Knock) "Come in." "Sir the guards are here." He went out and met them and told them what to do then he had someone get a couple of maids to stay in the room to watch over her in the room.

Arson finally got to his village. "Wow this is really different." "Haha yeah I know its different than the village your used to. Lets go to my house." There were a lot of stares and whispers. WE finally made it to his house.

I knocked on the door. (Knock Knock) "Who is it?" said a womanly voice. "Its princess Talia." A woman opened the door and saw her first. "Your highness." "Oh please don't bow. I have a surprise for you." Then Arson popped out. "Hi mom." "Arson? Is that you?" "Yeah mom its me. Can we come in?" "Of course you can come in. I can't believe your finally home!" she squeezed him till he couldn't breathe. "OK mom I can't breathe. Where is dad? How is brother?" "Your brother is doing better dad will be home soon. Come both of you sit down." So we sat down. WE heard footsteps from a room somewhere and saw a boy not much older than arson. "Hello brother." "Arson? Please tell me its not a dream? Mom this isn't a dream right?" "No son its not a dream your brother is really here." Arson ran to his brother and gave him a hug. "You idiot. I missed you. I thought I would never see you in this lifetime." "Its ok brother I'm here now. I'm not going anywhere." "You better not." Then a few minutes later the door opened. "Honey I got a raise today." Then he had a shocked face. "Arson? Well I'll be….Son your finally back!" He grabbed his son and hugged him as well. "OK dad don't break my bones." "Oh sorry Kiddo I just missed you. Uh there is someone else you should see. She waited for you. She turned down a lot of suitors just for you. Luckily she came with me to visit hoping to see you again." "Hello Arson. Glad to see you back." "Mara? Is that you?" "Hehe so you remember me?" "Of course I do. You waited for me all this time?" "Yeah I did. Can we talk somewhere? If you all don't mind." "Sure go take a walk don't stay too long." "Ok sure thanks mom and dad." "Arson I will be going back home so I won't see you have fun ok?" "Ok thanks for everything Talia." He gave Talia a hug and she hugged him back. "Your welcome. Now don't go causing trouble I don't want to rescue you again." I joked. "Haha I won't." Then they left for their walk I bid farewell to his family and headed back to my own.

I made it back to the masters house and told him the good news he was happy. "Well it's a long way back to the tree would you like a faster way back?" "If it won't blow up and its safe then sure." "Haha don't worry its teleporting. I'll be back Zoren." "OK sir be careful would you?" "You bet." Zoren rolled his eyes then Ani said, "Hold on tight and you might want to hold your breath. I listened to him and we went poof to the tree. "Thank you sir. It was nice meeting you." "Your welcome. About that tree though. It is indeed a special tree. You will be the only one besides your kids and their descendants as well who will be able to pass through since they have your blood. Also of course Arson can and his future kids and descendants." "Ok thank you sir. I hope our paths cross again. Good bye." "Good bye Talia. Hope we meet again as well." Then he watched as she went through then disappeared back to his place.

Kida was waking up and one of the maids had someone go and get Arion. Once he heard he came running. He opened the door gently. "Kida?" "Brother? Is that you?" "Yes its big brother Arion. Can you tell me what happened?" "Where is Adrian?" "WE are still looking for them." "Oh no. It means they have been captured." She tried sitting up but her side and head hurt. "Ow." "Easy you were hurt pretty bad. Even if I and the doctor helped we did what we could." "Where is Lindir? Is he ok?" "He is fine." "OK that's a relief. I protected him. Someone was going to attack him from behind and I was hurt instead. I let him go ahead while I fought." "Do you know who is after them?" "They didn't say. They left a message though. They told me to tell Lindir. Wait can I tell him in person?" "Yeah bring him in." "Ok sir. Go in." Lindir went in looking worried. "Your ok. How are you feeling?" He felt her head. "She's still in pain but she will be fine. she needs to tell you something. We will be right outside." "Ok brother thanks." Once everyone left Kida said, "I let you run off. I protected you. Someone was going to attack you from behind. I think they got brother and Rin. Also they gave me a message for you. They wanted me to tell you. This is Karma its here to bite you back." "I see I know who it is now. Also your brother and Rin are fine. They are at the castle now." "Really? Oh thank God. Can you send brother in?" "Yes I will." Then he left and told Arion what's going on.

Rin and Adrian went to Kida's room. "Hey Kida." "Adrian. Rin. You both are ok." "Yes we are fine." said Adrian. We heard what happened to you how are you feeling?" "My head and side still hurt a bit but I will live." "You idiot. Your not supposed to jump in front of a weapon." "I had to protect Lindir. If I didn't step in he would have been killed. Luckily it went through me and angled so it didn't hit Lindir." "Well at least you will live. Be careful next time sis. Make sure to bring something next time in case something like that happens. Like maybe a metal belt or something magical." "I'll try brother. I'm glad you two are ok. I'm going to get some sleep ok?" "Ok get some sleep. We will see you in a bit." She nodded then closed her eyes then they left.
