Bondrewd, a new beginning

What we know about Bondrewd from the epic "Created in the Abyss" - scientist, genius, "father of the year" and a lot of positive and not so positive qualities. Making this character extremely curious against the background of crowds of schoolchildren and other characters as bland as cardboard. After another "successful" experiment "Lord of Dawn" died, this time finally, and got into a new world, with a clear goal - to save the world, Will Bondrewd be able to save the world, will his attitude to life change, will he get a harem... maybe yes, maybe no. Read it and give me feedback. Postscriptum: this is the author's first work, so don't hit me, at least not hard.

System

"You are welcomed by the "supervision system", the system integration has been successful, all user parameters have been loaded and processed, the help information has been loaded, the visual interface has been installed. Do you want to open the visual interface?"

"Yes."

Columns of text popped up in front of Bondrud's eyes, not as garishly bright as before, so it was no problem to read it.

...

Name: Bondrewd.

Race: Homunculus

Age: ????

Abilities:

Rapid Regeneration: You regenerate much faster than others, (consumes a significant amount of calories).

Strong Body: You are overflowing with energy, and your need for sleep, food, and water is reduced.

Unreal Strength: Your strength stats put opponents in a stupor, if you're honest with your allies too.

The other abilities are not yet available, fulfil the quest conditions to unlock them.

"Marvellous decision, sending me on a mission and blocking some of my abilities, it's just good to know that the basic abilities are still available to me." Breaking away from his thoughts the man turned to the interface again. "Give me information on my equipment."

"I'm processing the request and outputting the information."

Armour of Dawn(epic): Heavy-duty protective armour crafted at level 5 of the Abyss in Idofront provides an impressive level of protection against all threats, has the ability to self-regenerate (regeneration increases the curse value, up to a maximum of 15%).

Gunvawe(epic): A durable helmet created at level 5 of the abyss in "Idofront" provides an impressive level of protection against all threats, has the ability to self-regenerate (regeneration increases curse value, by a maximum of 10%). Active ability "ganblade": fires hundreds of super-heated energy beams from the helmet's visor with the ability to auto-drive. (increases curse value by 15% per use).

Sparagmos (legendary): artifact of unknown origin, allows you to attack the enemy with a powerful charge of pure energy (increases curse value by 30% per use).

Shaker(rare): an artefact that allows you to shoot cursed stun needles, current ammo 6 needles, total ammo 21 needles. (increases curse value by 3% per volley).

White Whistle (legendary) homemade artefact created on the 5th level of the abyss in the "Idofront" was originally a human... Active ability: resets all accumulated curse values to zero for 1 hour, after which it adds them to the already accumulated, the final amount of curse accumulation can not exceed 99%, (ability rollback 1 week).

Having finished reading "Lord of Dawn" was interested in two things: Firstly, he counted the ammunition of "Shaker" to make sure that the information given by the system was true, there were indeed 21 needles, and secondly Bondrewd started searching for the place where the curse values in the system are indicated. It turned out that it was hanging in the corner of the view and the cheek proudly showed 16.9% under it was visible scale of evil and good points, everything was zero.

"So self-defence is not considered something unequivocally bad or good here, we'll keep that in mind."

As far as equipment was concerned, Bondrewd was satisfied with everything, even if there were some things missing, but it should be enough.

"I'll use the Shaker and Gunblade if possible, the Sparagmos for special occasions, and the whistle as my last chance, and with these inputs I'd better avoid prolonged fighting." Bondrewd found it rather ironic that he, being a whistleblower himself, could give his last chance to himself.

"Show me the task list." The man's words were directed to the system, and it did not hesitate to bring up the necessary information. The list was quite short:

1. Kill the madness warrior.

2. Destroy the rebel necromancers of the Baharut Empire.

And a third quest that Audita didn't report.

3. Kill all previously sent heroes and villains who failed to live up to expectations, due to their refusal to fulfil their missions.

The task is clear and understandable, "Lord of Dawn" understood why Audita did not want to tell him about the third mission, she was afraid that he would find the mission too difficult and refuse, but for him such a small thing did not matter, he will go back anyway.

Closing the system and taking the map out of his pocket, the man began to study it avidly, he was in the kingdom of Silia, namely in a protected forest not far from the capital. The decision was made quite quickly, he needed to go there, the kingdom bordered the very Baharut Empire to the east. Which meant the search for the information he needed could start from the capital.

Having mapped out the route to the nearest road, Bondrewd put the map away and was about to set off, but his attention was attracted by the already cold carcass of a bear.

"You've caused me a lot of trouble," the man took a knife out of his rucksack, approached and started the process of cutting up the carcass. The process took about half an hour, and as a result Lord of Dawn had a brown hide and about five kilograms of good meat and fat on his hands.

Bondrewd was not a greedy man, and his action had several purposes at once: to stockpile food for himself, the description of his abilities favoured hoarding, and the hide, if it had any value at all, could be sold.

Having stuffed all his goods into his rucksack, Bondrewd set out on his journey.

"Let's go." said something in a cheerful and cheerful tone. The man reacted, instantly getting into a protective stance and surveying the area for any random guests, but there was no one.

"Maybe it was just a show." Bondrewd thought to himself and headed deep into the edge of the forest, keeping his way inside the thicket.

...

"Lord of Dawn" had been walking for more than two hours, one tree was replaced by another, and the sun was already slipping towards sunset, the forest did not think to end, although it was quite comfortable to walk, the forest was not dense. But still Bondrud hoped to reach the road at least before the end of the day. Having pushed aside another bush with his hand the man saw an interesting picture, a small camp with a fire in the middle. The population of the camp was small and was only 5 people. Unwashed, shoddily dressed and armed men. Each of them had a thirst for profit and a desire to kill.

"After all, bandits are the same everywhere." Bondrud said quietly and walked towards the camp at full height. The bandits noticed him and two of them moved towards him.

"Who the fuck are you?" The bald man in the tattered waistcoat asked, at the same time gripping the handle of his carpenter's axe tightly.

"I was just passing by, but I smelled a strong stench and decided to check it out, and there you were."

"What? You said we stink." The second ragamuffin, dressed in sackcloth and armed with a rusty pickax. The second bandit, meanwhile, sniffed at his waistcoat.

"It doesn't stink, so you were wrong twice, the first time when you decided to look for something in the woods, and the second time when you came to us with such a stupid question." The bandit paused briefly, and was interrupted by the other one.

"Why do you listen to him? He insulted us, and you still believe his rubbish, so give me the money and the artefacts!"

"So we can't do it the easy way." Said Bondrewd and came closer, his dark silhouette was illuminated by the flames of the fire, and the bandits took a step back in fear. Another bandit, apparently their leader, came into the conversation, and he was better dressed than the others. Our fashionable man was wearing a rusty, torn and tattered chain mail and holding a double-edged sword in the same condition.

"Kill the bastard," the leader shouted, and at the same moment a crossbow bolt flew at Bondrud. The man leaned back and let it pass over his head, and it flew into the thicket. Two ragamuffins came at the Lord of Dawn, and two more went round him from the right side, the crossbowman was out of sight.

"Here we go," said Bondrewd quietly, and with a sharp jerk he slammed into the bald bandit, breaking his bones with a powerful blow the Lord of Dawn grabbed the pickaxe in his hand without looking and broke it with a squeeze of the wooden handle. "Lord of Dawn" without looking intercepted the pickaxe with his hand and squeezed the wooden handle to break it.

The unlucky fighter tried to take a step back, but Bondrud grabbed him by the throat with his free hand and raised him in front of him as a shield, a couple of moments later another bolt flew into the robber's throat, which was clearly not meant for him. The bolt pierced the bandit's throat and lodged in his larynx, sprinkling Bondrud's helmet with drops of red blood.

Out of the nearby bushes came two more ringleaders and a dirty little man with an old shield and a common hammer. "Lord of Dawn" without looking gave a line from the shaker in the direction of the crossbowman, who did not think to change his position after the shot being completely sure that the bushes completely hid him from sight.

"AAKHHH..." The crossbowman's last speech was rather rambling, and it was understandable with three needles in his skull it was not enough for oratory.

The fervour of the attackers somehow cooled down, looking at the dead bodies of their accomplices they scattered. But Bondrewd did not think to let them go, he pulled the axe from the hands of the freshly killed bald man and threw it after the fleeing boy with the shield.

"AAH." That was his answer.

The ringleader was running away through the thicket, clearing the way with a double-edged sword. "What the fuck, who the fuck is this ghoul anyway." Cutting down another bush of some thorny shit. The bandit almost lost his senses from the freshly cut passageway, and a violet visor stared at him.

"And I greet you again." Bondrewd said kindly.

«FU-CK!» It was the bandit's entire battle cry, and he lunged forward on animal instincts, drawing his sword for a swinging blow.

Swing...

What happened next the bandit leader did not see, his head for some reason looked only upwards and only by the corner of his eye he saw his standing decapitated body. Which immediately collapsed like a sack of dung.

"A productive evening." With that caustic remark, Bondrewd officially ended the fight and headed towards the camp.

"Tell me about it." Was the answer from the mysterious interlocutor.
