Emily woke up to an empty bed, the sheets cold and unoccupied. She stretched her arms, feeling the softness of the mattress and the silence of the room. Julian was already gone, off to his busy day as CEO.
She got out of bed, her feet sinking into the plush carpet. The room was spotless, no trace of the tears and heartache from the night before. Emily felt a pang in her chest, remembering the way Julian had held her, the way he had kissed her hair.
She made her way to the kitchen, hoping to find a note or some sign of life from Julian. But there was nothing. Just the quiet hum of the refrigerator and the empty coffee cup on the counter.
Emily felt a pang of loneliness, realizing she was truly alone in this vast, luxurious house. She poured herself a cup of coffee and sat down at the table, feeling like a ghost drifting through the rooms, invisible and unnoticed.
As she sipped her coffee, her mind wandered to her sister, Mia. The memories of Mia's betrayal still lingered, a painful reminder of their complicated past. Emily's thoughts were a jumbled mix of anger, hurt, and confusion. She couldn't help but wonder how her own sister could have hurt her so many times, leaving her feeling vulnerable and alone, she just couldn't think her life can be like this, she lost her parent and brother all in one day and also her foster parent doesn't like her especially Mia's mother.
Mia still show her some pity but it's all fake she mock her secretly doing all sort of bad things to her.why did they adopt me when they will hate me.
The questions swirled in her mind like a vortex, pulling her down into a sea of uncertainty. Emily sighed, feeling the weight of her isolation. But she knew she couldn't stay stuck in this limbo forever. She needed to take action, to reach out and connect with someone, anyone.
And so, with a newfound determination, Emily picked up her phone and began to type a message, hoping to find a lifeline in the digital void.
