Bobby was still groggy from the sleeping pill when he came downstairs. He poured himself some coffee. “I can’t believe you two showed up.”
“Hell yes, we have a wedding to plan.” Zach slapped Keith on the back.
“We’re not getting married for another four months so you’ll have plenty of time to go nuts. We were going to ask Gloria, Edith, and Marla to help us.” Bobby took his coffee and sat down at the table.
Marla arrived ten minutes later followed by Reggie. Bobby picked up one of the croissants and began to nibble. “Why all the company? I knew these two would show, but I thought you were working Reggie.”
“I took the morning off. I heard about the car and that you were at the Blue Swan last night. I wanted to see with my own two eyes that you were back.”
Marla looked over the table. “You’re all getting scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon. You have the bread. I’ll make fresh orange juice.” She shot Keith a sideways glance. “Nobody told me company was coming.”
