Fan Lin was following the six legged Yeti bear Patriarch. He was a hundred thousand year old soul beast and was one of the last members of his species.

The Yeti bear (Fan Lin is calling it that because it is easy to say) has a barrier type of power which made the surrounding winds not affect him. All the Ice type beasts who are above ten thousand year old mark have it. It is an innate ability.

Due to this innate ability, they were travelling at a faster speed that Fan Lin was. Actually Fan Lin could go far faster than this speed in the storms as he can just peirce through it with his might but the problem was that he didn't know where the Millennium shards were.

The Ice formation worked as a illusion and camouflage formation as well. Fan Lin would not be able to find it even after ten years like that. Sensing and healing methods are the only things he lacked.

Sensing because he was still at the Spirit Abyss level and the formation was made to block even the Spirit Domain realm, so he basically was unable to sense it.

His energy senses were useless as the whole place was filled with ice energy. Everywhere you can look was ice and there were no godly energy signature coming from there.

He also didn't have any healing methods. He only has the energy body heal. It was the technique that he developed. He used nutritions obtained from the food to regenerate his physical body in case on extreme injury or loss of a limb. But this technique can just heal the physical body.

It doesn't work on his spirit core or Petrosapien physique. He can't even heal his meridians or broken martial true body.

Just his physical body.

Along with the fact that all of his skills were random, he couldn't even hope to choose a healing spirit soul for himself.

The world was really fair and unfair at the same time for him.

Now onto the present situation.

Fan Lin and Yeti bear were going to meet the Ice Jade Scorpion Queen of this era. She was one of the main forces here. She was also the one who can help Fan Lin in borrowing the Millennium Ice shards. Only if Fan Lin fulfilled his side of promise which he absolutely will.

"So how are the conditions here in the present times? I was slumbering in Boundless Sea so I don't know that much about the present situation in both the Deep north and the Extreme north. "

The Yeti bear explained the current situation to Fan Lin. The situation here was worse than he thought.

There was just a single place that could protect them and even that is slowly destroying. Soul beasts are fighting and killing each other not for food but to gain spots to live in the Deep north.

"You must be joking Sir. Only a fool would believe those humans. Even if they are right, then we are still losing something even more precious than eternal life Sir. We are losing our will. We , soul beasts, gain our will after our hundred thousand year old calamity. It is the symbol of us being different from others, us being alive. This is the proof of our journey, our hardships and our sacrifices. We can't just lose it for eternal life. Yes, we want eternal life. Who doesn't? But if it comes at the cost of our will, our freedom then we will refuse. Atleast I will and I did. I don't regret it even now. Even when you came to me, I asked you to kill me and take my Spirit bone and spirit ring. I never said that I will become your spirit soul or serve you. That is my creed Sir. I will rather die but I won't lose my freedom and will."
