Someone that the ancient dragon knows, huh? She has to be some kinda monster. Is she a hundred-year-old or so woman wearing the disguise of a child? Then that would make sense why people don't approach her. Maybe she's considered a witch or something?

I feel like the courage and the smug demeanor that I built up for the last couple of hours just vanished into thin air. What am I even supposed to do if she's an all powerful personality.

I could hear him fuming. Well, it's not like I can put him on fault for this. Anyway, I should start by asking her name. I don't wanna mess with some high class cannon fodder….

"Young miss. Could you please tell me your name?" I asked. I decided to be straight forward with this one. Kids are pure hearted. They won't find any malice in people who ask them straight forward questions. Rather, they'll be suspicious of people who twist their words. However, that's completely different when we consider grown-ups, huh? I seriously don't trust people who might act straight forward; they're always hiding something sinister under the facade they put up.

"The elders here call me little Su." The girl answered.

Ah, no matter how much I try to jog my brain up, I can't remember a single person with that name. That means she's a cannon fodder! Wait, she's so… innocent! Sure, she seems mature on the stage, however right here, I can see the real Su. And she's hella innocent. Who dares to kill such an innocent little girl. It couldn't be Zhangsun Shan or Qiu Si, because they are literal protagonists who can't kill innocent people; of course, if we consider the chaotic mode, that might seem possible though. Anyway, it for sure isn't Wang Lei, because in both normal and chaotic mode, he's a villain with a heroic personality. Hell, in chaotic mode, one could consider him as a hero even. Such a person would never kill a girl like this! Then there's just one option left…

[It has to be the villainess…]

Anyway, as Goldy said, and I hypothesized, it had to be the villainess. And if that is the case, there wouldn't be any problem if I mingle with Su, right? After all, she's the weakest of all the main characters. I can mess her up, you know?

Goldy sounded serious when he said that, not that I care. I'll apologize to him later. But for now, let me enjoy the cuteness of this child.

"Grandpa! That elder sister asked me if I'll have lunch with her or not. Can I go with her?" She poked an old man and asked. The old man looked suspiciously at me. I get it. Someone asking a young girl to go out on lunch is surely a weird phenomenon.

"I'm Hua Liu from the Blue Moon Sect. Here's the insignia." I showed him my family insignia, a werewolf howling before a full moon emitting blue light.

After checking my insignia, he let out a sigh. "I'm sorry for doubting you. It's just that I've heard rumors of child snatchers lurking around this area. So…"

"Ah, don't worry. I'm not offended. I understand your concern. I'll bring young miss Su back safely." I assured him. There's no way in hell that I'm gonna let some child snatcher catch her away from me. Rather, they would've to go back with a bunch of punches and kicks.

"Very well. I will entrust my granddaughter to you. She doesn't have anyone close to her age to play with. So, I expect this would be fine…" The old man let out another sigh.

You see, I'm totally fine with this. But, what's up with you, old man? How can you even send your young girl with some random lady just because she showed you a family insignia? It can be faked too, right? Be vigilant, old fart…

...is what I thought, but I can't say that to his face, right? "Thank you." I turned my head towards Su. "Are you ready?" I held my hand out, to which Su nodded her head and grabbed my hand.

Ha… What a soft hand! My hands became rock solid after all the training, so having to touch such a hand is a blessing in disguise. Thank you, the one above me for all the good work. You're cool!

Anyway, I was about to leave the premises, when I heard a voice call out to me. "Wait!" I looked back and saw Su's grandpa running towards us. Is he rethinking his decision to send his granddaughter? If that's the case, I would understand and leave her here. Instead, I'll bring the food to here and still fulfil the condition of having lunch together.

After panting for quite a while, he held out something before me. "Here. Take this." What he gave out was an opera mask. "Ha… You were gonna leave without a sovereign. So I thought you'd like it. I'm not gonna charge you with any money, of course…" He chuckled. What kinda crazy old man is he? Here I am, a random person, taking his granddaughter for "lunch", and this guy's worried about me not having a sovereign. I mean, this is what I came for, and it's a really great design, and I'm really thankful for receiving something like this, however, is this guy really crazy? Argh, his parenting is pissing me off!

"Hmm, thank you for the gift. I'll treasure it forever." I replied. And by treasuring it, I mean using it on any given chance possible. Well, that could also be considered as treasuring, right?

So, I left the opera with the mask in one hand and Su's hand in the other, with no one there to even stop me from taking the main lead of their plays. Ha… Rather than focusing on that guy's parenting, I should focus on things in my hand.

"Young miss Su, where do you wanna eat?" I asked.

"Wherever you want to." She replied.

"Hmm, I know of a good place…" I walked towards one of the restaurants with a good review.
