Blue Moon Princess

(Silver Tier Winner of WPC #147 #148) *** I just got my freedom; moved away from my house and was about to have a new beginning— alas I died before even tasting the freedom, since I got hit by the renowned reincarnation specialist, truck-kun. But my luck was tremendous as I reincarnated into a new world—as expected, with my memories fully intact. That’s when I realized that the world around me looked eerily similar to the one in a game called the World of Cultivation and I am the heroine—scratch that; this body is just a random mob of this world. My hopes and dreams of living a peaceful life in this world crumbled down right in the beginning, when I learned that I’m bound to die soon from the hands of the main lead. Fret not, this world is one with cultivation. Although there’s just a few days before my uneventful death, I can do something with my cultivation and—ah, my body can’t even do cultivation now, can it? It seems like my luck wasn't that good. Instead, I’ve been riddled with numerous misfortunes. However, don’t think that I’ll give up on this precious second chance that fate bestowed upon me. My intention is to survive. And I’m willing to do anything for it! *** [Note: The artwork in my cover does not belong to me. So, I'll be taking it off if the original artist asks me to do so.] Cover edit: ZinonWonder

Let me clear your doubts

I was going through a dilemma. With the notebook in my hand, I felt like I had the most important information in this world that people would fight and die for… Well, it might be a bit exaggerated if we're just considering the sacred pills, but it completely makes sense if we're talking about the more higher level stuff. Those things are rare for which people would no doubt die for.

Anyway, it's not the responsibility of holding this book that makes me worry. Look, I don't fear that some random person would steal my book and steal all the secrets because thankfully I can still write my original language… the one from Earth. And with that the only thing I actually have to worry about is whether some random person would judge it as a trash product and burn it or something. Other than that, my only concern would be if there's any sneaky reincarnator present in the midst. Although, it would be pretty bizarre for them to read my book as well, because I wrote it in my native tongue which is not a language that reincarnators from the novels I read knew about. Well, things could turn out really bizarre. Who knows , there might be another reincarnator with me here. However, then, hiding this info would be worthless because they might know about this game… After all, all reincarnation from the cliche novels knew exactly what would happen in the game, right? It's weird, but how could they remember every single detail of a random game or novel they know about? Like, you could argue I'm one like that too, but I only knew of certain things that hyped up the gaming community back then, like what was in the Golden Mountain. And that's why I'm really thankful of Goldy and him being present with me. Because even if I forget some stuff, he remembers it clearer than me. Although, some of them seem to be cloudy though. Like, Goldy can't view most of the original inhibitor's memory.

So, back to my dilemma. Look, I wasn't kidding when I got ample information of the sects that have the sacred pills. I believe with the info I have, I can safely ascend to the next Qi level. But, the problem is whom to attack first. I have two options on my hand. I could either play it safe and raid a relatively safer place or I can attack a highly secure sect. Each has their own pros and cons. For the safe route… Well, the thing is they might not have enough sacred Qi pills. So, I might have to literally pillage everything in their store house, because only that would make my efforts worthwhile. However, even though that would be relatively simpler, they are sure to notice someone raiding their entire stock of sacred pills, right? That means an entire sect would be alert. And most probably, they would inform the major sect about that as well. Even though the major sect won't directly barge in for the robbery, they'd still be vigilant about the appearance of a robber. And that would in turn mean, other unrelated sects would be aware of this as well and increase their security. In the end,it would make it difficult for me to raid somewhere else.

Now, let's consider raiding the major sects. Look, they're gonna have an abundance of sacred pills; after all they're the ones supplying to the minor sects!

The pros of robbing them would be that we could rob them in small quantities and no one would actually notice. So, the alarms raised would be relatively low until we start to intentionally start to raise alarms. However, if we are gonna clever with this and pull us out before they get aware of the missing pills, we might be safe. Then, we could repeat the same process on another major sect.

Now, for the cons. Although what I explained sounds really simple, one should not forget that I am someone without any cultivation prowess trying to enter a highly guarded facility. That would be equivalent to pointing your sword to yourself. It's incredibly stupid and risky. So, in the end, it's either risking your life right in the beginning or alarming people of your existence. Now that I think of it in that perspective, robbing the slightly minor sects would be the way to go. Even if they're alerted, their security is never gonna come close to what the major sects have. Yea… that's easy.

"Nah, both are easy!" Goldy nonchalantly replied.

"How many times do I have to say? Don't just read out my monologues!" I cried. This guy's really annoying at times.

"Huh? What else am I supposed to do when you lie there speechless? Sit simply and start a monologue as well? By the way, your monologues are really weird. It's as if you're talking to someone else. Well, even though it's extremely weird, it's easy to listen to your thoughts." Goldy spoke.

"Hmm, is that so? Anyway, don't just creep into my mind like this anymore. Just ask me, okay?" I asked of him.

"I can't give you a promise on that." Goldy shrugged.

It seemed like Goldy was planning to continue on with his listening. It isn't that bad, because my thoughts might be weird but I don't think about killing a person or something!

"No, instead you worry about stealing something." Goldy spoke.

"Yea… By the way, what did you mean by both of them are easy?" I asked about his earlier reply.

"I meant what I said. You seriously underestimate me, don't you? To a point that I actually doubt my credentials. Like, believe me! With this guy around, there ain't a thing in this world that can hurt you." He replied as he pointed to himself.

"Okay, it's not like I don't believe in you or anything. I know you are the gold dragon. I am thankful for granting me basically a new life. And I know you were super strong as well…. But." Before I could speak, Goldy cut me off.

"Were? Did you just speak of my powers in the past tense? Look here, I might not be in the ancient realm anymore, but that doesn't mean any random guy's stronger than me in cultivation level. I'm still the powerful one on this planet!" He replied, to the point it seemed like a protest against what I said before.

"Okay, I guess you're powerful. But, you're kinda like a stray soul with cultivation power, aren't you? How are you supposed to exert your power in this form?" I asked. Like, I don't doubt his capabilities and it's not like I wasn't aware that he could exert his power using his form. I just don't know how and I was curious.

"Then you should've just asked me that! Why go the hard path to grab the same old nose?" Goldy asked as he once again read my thoughts. "Look, you aren't aware of this, but there's like at least a hundred stray souls around you right now." He replied, which amazed me. Why couldn't I see them then? "Hey, you're not a special existence who can see souls. I am the special existence who willingly left it's body and is making it possible for you to see me. Remember that!" Goldy spoke and then seemingly stood still in thought. "You know what? I'm gonna demonstrate my powers before you to just show you how damn powerful I am!" He gave out a sinister laugh.

I knew this could possibly spell disaster, so I wanted him to quickly take his head off from this plan. "Umm, you know what? I don't think that would be necessary. I really believe in you, you know? So, why waste your efforts in something trivial as this?" I asked.

Goldy sighed. "Well, I would like to set an example with this. You see, if I don't demonstrate my power, even though you might say that you believe me, but you never will. You will always end up questioning my powers. You do know that I'm supposed to teach you cultivation some time in the future, right? If our relationship continues without you experiencing my power up close, then you might even start questioning my cultivation technique. So, in the end, I'm doing this so that you won't make a retort when I'm gonna teach you about cultivation and stuff." Goldy explained.

"Oh, if you're worried about that, then don't. I'll behave as an obedient student." I reassured him.

"You might say that, but you're still a human. I can't have my only student not trusting me in the future." Since it seemed like there was no stopping the mad dragon, I just kinda let it happen. Goldy smiled as he closed his eyes for a moment. It was right then that my house started shaking like crazy… As if it was an earthquake. It was impressive. He could shake the entire house like that! Although I was impressed, This was still my dear house, so I wanted him to stop doing that.

Just as I wished that, he actually stopped and looked straight into my eyes. "You're wrong," He spoke.

"Huh?" I didn't get the meaning behind his statement.

"You thought I just shook this house. That's wrong. I shook this entire planet." He spoke with no chill.
