I was initiaklly surprised, however came to an understanding soon enough. Things have changed ever since my reincarnation to this world. Hua Liu was no longer the luxury loving bitch that she once was. Instead, the current Hua Liu is a money loving bitch now. And just like that, things changed.
Well, Wang Lei interfering for my sake made complete sense, you know? He's the one who sticks up for his subordinates, so it would be weird if he did not intervene.
I never thought of it, but now it really is strange, because I don't understand why Wang Lei never interfered during that cut-scene. Maybe the developers really didn't want to introduce the villain during the fated meeting between the hero and heroine.
Anyhow, I'm not the one who's gonna slap away a helping hand. Although, this person is gonna be the one that leads my adorable little brother to death at a tender age, right now he was just an upstanding student and not a sect leader.
"Thank you for standing up for me, Mr. Lei. However, I don't wish for a fight like this madman does. Let's just break this up, shall we?" I said in a rather emotional voice.
As much as I wanted to let these two meatheads fight and die before the sect wars occur, I didn't want myself to get involved in this turmoil, because then I would have many people to answer to. And for me, social interactions are the worst thing in life! I hated it in my previous life too. So, I had to stay away from interacting with many people.
Thankfully, Wang Lei heeded my request and left the premises whilst grabbing my hand. He shot a fierce glare towards the confused Zhangsun Shan in the midst of it as well. "Are you hurt?" He asked.
"Well…" I was gonna say something, but I threw up a pool of blood instead. I never expected to lose this amount of blood just by biting my tongue. Maybe that was a bad idea from my part. Anyway, this freaked Wang Lei out and he rushed towards the infirmary, whilst tightly holding my arm to the point it hurt.
"Ah, Hua Liu! What happened to you?" In came the perpetrator, the villainess, acting as if she didn't know anything about how I ended up getting punched. Although her face showed concern, which was a big fat lie, her actions seemed to speak the truth as she swatted off my hand away from her future husband's one.
"This bitch…" I mumbled and thankfully the rule of fiction applied in this scenario, since the listener didn't bat an eye towards the speaker's obvious mumble.
"Wang Lei! You don't have to worry about her. I will take her to the infirmary." The villainess said with a smile on her face.
Seeing that his fiancé had begun caring about people now, Wang Lei took his leave. Once he left, I turned back to the villainess. "So, how was my performance?" I asked.
"Well, you should have looked at Zhangsun Shan's face! Ah, that was hilarious! Good job. But never try to grab my fiance's hand ever again." She said in a very serious expression.
Look, I wanted to clarify that I wasn't the one who grabbed Wang Lei's hand; it was him. However, if I said something remotely opposite about it to her, she'll just throw me and family to the hyenas. She was basically unreasonable. Therefore, I simply nodded my head, and she led me to the infirmary.

The graduation ceremony ended with me out in the infirmary, which was honestly a good thing, if you ask me. I didn't want anymore exposure after the clusterfuck that happened in the morning. During my time in the infirmary, I realized how stupid I was to believe in the cut-scene.
The future had definitely changed. And yet I placed my belief on that one cut-scene and thought that Zhangsun Shan would only hit me from that one angle. However, I forgot that he wasn't just a simple game character anymore, but a live being. And that living being could do whatever he wants. I just had insane luck or else I would've been injured or dead at that point.
Anyhow, as I lied down in a bed in the infirmary, I heard someone's footsteps. Since I wanted to spend the last few hours of my life in this academy peacefully, I just closed my eyes. The footsteps got closer and closer and finally stopped right before me. "Open your eyes. I know you aren't sleeping now!" A voice commanded.
As I slowly opened my eyes, I saw the face of Zhangsun Shan before me. He threw a scroll on me. "Ah, my graduation certificate! Thanks."
"You are a peculiar one, aren't you?" He asked.
"Huh?"
"Tell me. How did you avoid the punch? A child who can't cultivate avoiding my punch is just absurd!" He replied.
"But, I didn't…"
"Stop kidding. You and me both know that ain't the case." Zhangsun Shan's face looked dead serious, as if he's gonna drop me dead if I don't speak the truth.
I sighed. I knew this would happen if I were to face this guy and wanted to avoid him. Who would've thought that this guy would slither his way in with my certificate? Out of all possible candidates who could've done that, I ranked him the lowest and yet he was the one present.
Nevertheless, I had already thought of a reply for such a situation. "Ah, that! I fainted out of fear before you even threw the punch." I coyly chuckled.
Zhangsun Shan thought about it for a while and eventually agreed with my statement. "Very well. But why did you harass Qiu Si in the first place?" He asked.
"Look, I really didn't want to do that. But imagine if it's the order of your sect elder's daughter who could potentially destroy everything you and your family has. What would you do then? Also, remember that I have a weak body with no cultivation prowess. I get it. The girl looks sweet. She doesn't harm anyone and she doesn't want to. She's a bit weak minded if you ask me, but other than that she's pretty good. If I could, I wouldn't have messed with her. However, do I look like I had a choice? So, come play hero with me when you understand my circumstances." I replied as I showed him away from me. I truly wanted her to be happy before all the shit gets unleashed in two years. "You will not be seeing me again, anyway! So consider the slaps as a farewell gift from me. And if you're so pissed about people harassing her, take care of her yourself! Not that she'd need it. She's plenty strong herself!" I said. It was cute seeing Zhangsun Shan blushing upon hearing what I said though. It seemed like the romance had started blooming.

While her conversation with the Taiyi sect's Zhangsun Shan, Hua Liu failed to notice the presence of Qiu Si, who hid behind the infirmary door, hearing what she said. Although Qiu Si didn't say anything, her eyes were watery. Qiu Si had never heard someone speaking so highly of her other than the person that slapped her in the morning.
Qiu Si, although born into a scholarly family, had aspirations to be an adventurer and fulfilled it by learning martial arts and traveling the world and eventually ended up as the outer disciple of the Taiyi sect. Life as an outer disciple was difficult. No one really cared about her. Instead, people shunned her at every chance they got. She was smart, however no one appreciated that. Instead, they talked about how the young daughter of the Taiyi elder's the bright one. She skillfully performed martial arts, however people talked about how the eldest son of the Taiyi sect leader was the prodigy, even though he couldn't be considered an equal. Life was indeed difficult.
The social life was way worse, though. Qiu Si tried being sociable and approached people. However, people avoided her for one reason or the other. Even when people approached her, they always berated her or straight up lied to her. She was sensitive towards lies, so she suffocated in those social meetings.
However, it was different that day. Someone lied to her about how she hated her. It surprised Qiu Si. Normally people lied about how they liked her, but this girl lied about how she hated her. What was more surprising was the fact that Hua Liu indeed used to hate her, when she used to bully her before!
However, that day, an air of lie surrounded her as she talked about her hatred towards Qiu Si. It surprised her since she couldn't understand how a person could change this much in a few days.
To check whether Hua Liu really changed, she walked with Zhangsun Shan into the infirmary. However, she chickened out in the last second and hid behind the door. Thankfully, Hua Liu didn't notice.
Since Zhangsun Shan knew her doubts, he intentionally posed the question to Hua Liu. And with Hua Liu's answer, Qiu Si felt like she finally had someone backing her.
There wasn't the air of ingenuity when Hua talked about Qiu Si being pretty good and plenty strong. She never once asked or received appreciation. But once she got one, she felt like she was in the heavens.
From that day, Qiu Si began to look towards Ha Liu, the one who bullied her, as one of her dear friends that she wanted to meet again after graduation. However, Hua Liu, who planned to never see them again, wasn't aware of this development.
