Chapter 5

Sally's POV

Today is a Saturday. The weekends!! I love the weekends!! You get to sleep in, go to sleep late and just chill for 2 days. I wake up at 10 in the morning. I get up from bed and open my closet door.

"Hmmm what to wear?" I say to myself. I rummage through my closet. I decided to go comfy, I found a large white shirt, light blue skinny jeans and a black hoodie along with some white converses.

I go into the bathroom and get changed into my clothes. I wrap the black hoodie around my waist and tie up my shoe laces. I put my hair in a high pony and apply a little bit of mascara and a little colour lipstick. I walk downstairs to see my mum watching some sort of drama on the TV.

'Mums nowadays'

"Mum I'm gonna go for a walk!" I shouted through the hallway.

"Ok honey. Be back by 1 because some guests are coming and stay safe." She shouts back to me.

"Don't worry, I will." I unlock the door and step out.

The weather wasn't too bad. But the sun wasn't shining today which I was sad about. The grey clouds covered the sky like a thick blanket. I knew it was gonna rain. I walked to a little park just up the road from my house and sat on the swings.

Me being the loner I am, took my phone out, plugged my earphones in and started to play 5SOS. I closed my eyes and started to get lost into the music. All of a sudden I felt a tap on my shoulder causing me to jump from the swing.

"Oh I didn't mean to scare you." An unfamiliar voice said.

"Oh it's ok" I said taking my earphones out of my ear. I looked up to see the boy had dark brown hair and blue eyes that looked like ice.

"Um...I was just wondering if the swing next to you was taken or not." He pointed to the empty swing next to me.

"Yeh it's empty" I smile at him. He takes a seat on the swing and looks at me and smiles.

"I'm Nash, by the way" he smiled and stuck his hand out.

"Oh my name is Sally." I said and shuck his hand.

"What a beautiful and unique name for a beautiful and unique girl" I blushed at his words.

"Thanks," I said to him "So where are you from? I haven't seen you around here before." I questioned Nash.

"Oh I'm from America. I just moved recently." He replied with a smile on his face.

"I've always wanted to go to America!!" I say with a laugh. He laughs with me

"Well you should definitely go some day" he says.

"Why did you leave America and come here?" I questioned him with my eyebrows together.

"Oh...um. I just wanted to start fresh and forget about about my past." He hesitated

"Oh" I asked. I questioned in my head whether I should ask him about what happened. But then I'm gonna look like some nosey kid.

Me and Nash continued to talk. I took my phone out and checked the time. It was almost 1.

"I have to get going now. I'll see you around" I say as I get up from the swig and straighten out my clothes I was wearing.

"Yeh sure!" Nash replied. I smiled and walked home.

As I got home I unlocked my phone and saw I had 3 messages from Shawn.

Shawn : 'hey!!'

Shawn : 'what are you doing today?'

Shawn : 'mind if I come over?'

I unlocked my phone and wrote a message to him.

Sally : 'Hey Shawn. Some guests are coming over to my house for some unknown reason so you can't come over right now. I'll text you once their gone and you can come over if that's alright.'

I sent the message and walked in to the house. The house smelt nice. I walked into the kitchen and saw my mum making chicken and rice. She hurried round the kitchen.

"Hey mum." I said to her.

"Oh hi darling." She replied to me still running round the kitchen like a headless chicken "Honey you go get ready the guests will be here soon." She said to me.

"Um mum are you sure you don't need any help?"

"No I'm good. You just go get ready." I nodded at her and walked up the stairs to my bedroom. My phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and saw I had a message from Shawn.

Shawn : 'ok it's alright. You have fun with your guests haha. Text me when they go.'

Sally : 'dw I will!! ❤️'

I sent the message and threw my phone on my bed. I walked over to my closet and looked around for some decent clothes to wear. Suddenly, my phone vibrated on my bed causing me to jump.

'Shawn isn't gonna leave me alone is he? Ha'

I went over to my bed and switched my phone on.

Unknown: 'Shawn is hiding a big secret from you darling. And once you find that out you will never look at Shawn the same way ever again.'

I got scared and confused. I replied to the message.

Sally : 'Who is this?'

I didn't have to wait for this person to reply back to my message.

Unknown: 'you will know when the time is right...'
