Mysterious murder

Two days past since we talked about Andrew or any other guy after that afternoon.Jojo was still in bad mood, didn't even talk to me this morning.I got in the Cafeteria where I worked and saw all my fellow girls deep in conversation. "Hey what all you are doing? What's so serious?", I asked curiously.

"Haven't you heard the news?", said Rita, one of the girls."What news?",I asked wondering."We thought he was your Ex! He was found dead in his own apartment all alone.

"WHHAAATT!",I screamed almost at the top of my voice.I was devastated by the news.The police asked me thousands of questions making me prime suspect(again)."We found this piece of jwellery and thought it might be yours",the officer handed me a brooch looking at me suspiciously."A Brooch!", is this could be JoJo's?! But denying that it's not mine I remained silent.

"Jojo! Police found your brooch near Andrew's body",I said coldly."My brooch is with me",Jojo showed me the brooch taking it out of this pocket."There are lots of brooches out there in the market Mia,it can be of anyone's",he suggested.I agreed with him.The leaves rustled outside like something or someone was walking in the lawn,"Who's there?" We both leaned out of the window frame to see but all we could see was darkness and wind blew strangely giving us the chill of first winter..

Next day I was in the bathroom and got quite surprised to see a hair pin near the wash basin."Jojo, who's hair pin is this?",I questioned him narrowing my eyes a bit. "Oh, that's my cousin's.She came to visit me that day,may be she forgot that",Jojo made himself clear.Ok I thought. "Remember the man I talked at the restaurant who gave us discount on our favorite meal that day?",I asked Jojo who was busy in sharpening his knief."What happened to him,is he dead?",he said uninterestingly."NO.He invited me to the Halloween party next week",I told him in excitement.Jojo looked at me his eyes glistened in the day light.I came at work and found the girls busy in talking as in the other days..One of them with a grim face gave me the bad news as usual,"the hat man is dead.He was found dead with blood all over his body!"

"Who's he?",I tried to guess."The man who always wore a hat,who came to our cafeteria three days ago to have coffee after that it rained and you offered him your umbrella, remember?",said Brida reminding me of that day.Yes I remember him.Now my heart sank in deep fright.
