Shallow breaths. That's all that the hooded figure sitting at the edge of the mountain could hear. Shallow and painful breaths. The cave that the breathing came from helped it echo all around. It was annoying. Not the breathing, but the feeling of not being able to do anything to ease the pain.
That's how Lucian felt. A tall, honey toned male with long white hair and seducing icy blue eyes. His face was sculpted and his lips were plump but chapped. He wore a white vest and a pair of blue trousers. A golden robe draped over his shoulders. He had a lean build, more on the larger side. A defeated sigh escaped his mouth, his eyes wandering back to the figure laying on a beige blanket.
With one more solemn look at the sunset, he stood up and walked back to the cave, getting ready to start a fire and put food on the stove. He quietly entered, making sure his booted footsteps were not too loud. He stared at the pale figure on the ground, closing up to them and placing a gentle hand on their forehead. Hell. That's the only place he knew could compete with the temperature levels he was feeling.
Sweat was dripping down their pale flushed face. Whimpers and shallow breaths escaped those usually pink lips, but now pale and chapped. "You're burning up Axel, I don't know what to do." His gentle voice whispered. Axel's glaring purple eyes opened, barely. A sigh of relief washed over him when he realised Lucian was taking care of him. He was petite and extremely pale.
His eyes were large and purple, giving a soft look of youth. His cheekbone was prominent, face slip and lips semi plump. His hair was shoulder length, blonde and wavy. He looked like a renaissance prince. "L-Lucian." He weakly croaked out. The white haired male snapped his head at the side, halting his action of damping a cloth. "Yes, my love."
The pale male smiled a little. "I'm relieved it's you and not some guard. Being on the run is hard work, you know." He weakly choked out. Lucian let out a giggle prompting Axel to join in before he started coughing violently. "You don't need to push yourself. Get some rest ok." Lucian bent down to place a chaste kiss on Axel's lip and went back to his activities.
"Rest easy my love. We're about to bring change to this world."
