Chapter 7 - Island

After Class, Top Roof in The Cafe

"The view here is beautiful. Still, few people came."

"There are very few people yet, as the lesson has just ended. I asked you to come quickly because we had something confidential to discuss."

"It's about the new event, isn't it? I didn't expect them to explain so early."

"You knew true. Actually, it wasn't supposed to be announced so early, but someone somehow found the date and published it."

"Do you know who did this? Since you were able to find out this information, it has to be someone important."

"We don't know, and that wasn't the only thing he posted. He even wrote down what the new event was. The school administration collected the papers and had to announce the event early so that the few people who saw it would not be strange."

"One of the teachers may be involved in this. It seems that it is difficult for a student to learn so much information."

"I will, but don't tell anyone else about this. This time the event will not be in teams. The prize will be distributed individually and in class. They're taking all the students to a vacation spot on an island. There, everyone will compete with people from other classes in the chosen field. If you win, they'll give you an extra card for your phone and some points. In addition, at the end of all the points earned in the class, one activity badge will be given to the people in the class who have the most points. With this badge, there is a discount on in-school expenses. It's kind of like a new rank. You can sell it if you want, or there are things like a secret club where you can accumulate badges from many events and access them at school. It's a pretty complicated system. Anyway, if there's anything you need to buy for the event, buy it. I don't think you'll find much there. And since I'm a year above you in this event, we won't be able to compete with each other. This time they were divided by classes."

"There are really a lot of details. Thank you for telling me all this too."

"It's not important. The president still wants you to join the student council. That's why we can tell you all of these."

Because the place is starting to fill up with students, we stop talking about it, after chatting normally for a while we get up from the cafe.

Three Days Later

"You know that in a few days a new event will begin. Before the event, you need to choose a field for yourself to compete in. Everyone can choose a field and there is an obligation to participate. Think well before choosing."

After the teacher makes the necessary announcements to us, everyone goes to the table and looks at the areas that can be selected.

"Hey, Nasha. Have you decided what to choose?"

"Liese, I think I'll choose the one about the sword. Have you decided yet?"

"I'm not quite sure, but I might attend the music event. I think if I study a little, I can play the piano like I used to. Have you ever played a sword sport?"

"I'd say I'm a little interested, but there's quite a bit of missing information here. It doesn't say which type of sword it is. All you have to do is make the opponent give up or drop your sword to the ground."

After printing our names, we sat down in our seats.

The Day of the Event, After the Plane Trip

"I'm nauseous. I don't like traveling by plane."

We came to an island that looked quite beautiful. It is covered with trees and flowers, but at the same time, there is a beautiful city atmosphere. Since the airport is a little high, we come across a magnificent view accompanied by the sunset.

"Hey. This place is amazing. It looks gorgeous."

"Do you want to take a photo? I don't want to lose that sunset view."

"That would be very nice."

We spend some time waiting for the other students to get off the plane.

When we arrive in front of the hotel, the teacher stops to make an announcement to us.

"Since we can't bring everyone at the same time, many students will be able to come after a while. The two groups that came before us have settled down. Also, since most of the single rooms in the hotel are full, many of you will stay in twos. As teachers, we wanted everyone to choose their own person to stay with, but the principal said that we had to choose randomly because students who could not find someone to stay with might cause trouble. It is determined who you will stay with the lot. You can look at the list. If you have a problem with the person you are staying with, you can tell the principal when we return to school. We told him it was ridiculous, but he wouldn't listen."

When I looked at the list, I saw that I was in the same room as Nathan. After a while, Nathan's girlfriend Miu came to me.

"Hey, Nasha. If you don't mind, we'd like to share a room with Nathan. If you accept, Nathan and my roommate will switch places."

"It's okay for me, did you also ask your roommate?"

"Yes, we asked. Thanks."

It was okay to stay in the same room because I thought Nathan was a good guy, but now I don't know who I'm going to stay with.

When I enter the room, I see that my roommate has not arrived yet. I arrange my things and lay myself down on the bed to rest after a long trip.

A few minutes later, the door sounds open. I'm sitting properly in bed.

"Hey! Hello. I hope we will have a nice event."

Liese and I see eye to eye. After standing for a while without saying anything, we start laughing at the same time.

"This can't be real. When they asked me, I thought the other person was a man too."

"I thought I had run into another girl because they didn't tell me either. Anyway, it's better to be with someone I know."

After a great coincidence and laughter, we go to the hall where the conference will be held.

After some not very important information about the event at the conference, we don't have a thing to do, so a few people in the class gather and we go to eat.
