"Perfect," Jin muttered with satisfaction. The stockpile of topical creams and sterile dressings he had secured was more than sufficient to tend to the wounds and, hopefully, eradicate the infection afflicting the bodies of the Blood Slaves.

After finding what he was looking for, Jin began his departure from the store. Lost in thought, his mind was occupied by memories of the application process for the creams and dressings.

Yet this preoccupation hindered him from perceiving a faint shadow that stealthily infiltrated the store in his absence.

Returning to the parking lot where Zhao Ling and Xiao Yue lay, their eyes closed in slumber, Jin's discerning gaze noted the conspicuous absence of the young girl, Xiao Fang.
