Chapter 17

Several days have passed, after the events of that night, Alika noticed that her mother was more often alone, spent more time in the room and several times, Alika found her mother daydreaming in front of the window.

Alika wants to know what her mother is really feeling right now, but remembering the message that Devan said makes Alika not dare to ask.

That day, Alika came home from school earlier than usual. He decided not to go straight home but instead to go somewhere to calm himself down first.

Usually Alika goes to the top of a skyscraper, to release her longing for the figure of the man who became her first love. Alika, often spends her time just reading or listening to music from her smart phone.

Alika sat in the corner there, took out her earphones and directly connected it to her smart phone. Alika, opened a music player application, then started looking for her favorite song.

He put his earphones in both ears, the music started playing. Alika's gaze was immediately fixed on the expanse of the sky that had no end. Her mind seemed to be spinning when the music she played reminded Alika of someone.

The figure that Alika has loved, loved and respected the most, is none other than Agatha. A great, strong and tough woman who has been protecting Alika from all dangers.

The music Alika is currently listening to is one of her mother's favorite songs. Almost every time this song is sung by Agatha who often sings while playing the piano.

Alika really admires the owner of the song, but she admires her mother's voice even more, which for her is second to none in this world.

In twenty-four hours, Alika couldn't count how many times she played the song. Like this time, fifteen minutes had passed and he didn't realize how many times the song had been played.

Alika looked sleepy, she looked at the watch in her right hand. Apparently he had been there for thirty minutes and before he knew it, it was getting late.

"I have to go home or Mother will be worried later," thought Alika, hastily tidied up her bag, then got up. Alika cleaned the back of her pants that contained the dust.

Before she left, Alika looked one more time at the expanse of sky in front of her eyes. Ignea city area, not too many skyscrapers that makes Alika easily see the sunset from there.

This building that Alika came to, being the only skyscraper in Ignea city, the other buildings only have a small height, having twenty four floors making this building the tallest in Ignea.

Alika walked away from where she was standing now. He was currently on the ground floor and was about to leave the building. When in the parking lot, Alika saw several young men running, from their movements Alika could already guess that they were chasing someone.

Even so, Alika tried to remain calm in front of them, trying to walk casually as if she had never seen the boys. Even so, Alika felt scared and trembled.

When she managed to pass them with a distance of several meters behind the youths, only then did Alika heave a sigh of relief. At least they didn't hurt her, thought Alika.

Then Alika chose to walk at a faster tempo, but when she was in a hurry that's when Alika accidentally collided with someone, which made her steps hampered.

"If you walk, use your eyes, not your knees!" snapped Alika annoyed. Her body fell to the asphalt, which made Alika's clothes dirty.

"Know that there is someone, but still don't see it," Alika grumbled, scolding the young man in front of her now.

Even though Alika raved and scolded him, the young man seemed not to budge and felt that he didn't see Alika's whereabouts. Suddenly, Alika became even more annoyed. However, at that moment Alika noticed the change in the expression on the young man's face. Alika's gaze is now on the people behind her.

"Come on follow me!"

Without lingering and without consent, the young man grabbed Alika's hand, taking her away from the place.

Alika had wanted to reject it, but before that happened she had already realized that the people she had passed were now chasing behind. Like it or not, Alika also has to avoid them, because from their stature and sharp eyes, Alika draws the conclusion that these young men have bad intentions towards her.

Alika ran along with the young man who accidentally bumped into her. Looking back, the young man's face wasn't too bad.

"Alika, what are you thinking? Control your mind!"

Of course Alika said that in her heart and felt that now was not the time for her to think about feelings.

The young man's hand continued to pull Alika, now they were between small alleys that were difficult for many people to pass. The young man rolled his eyes to find a place where they could hide. There were not many words that Alika could say, her mouth seemed to be locked and she felt resigned to whatever the young man's decision was.

They were not too far from the people who were chasing behind them, forcing the young man to make quick decisions so that they could survive being chased.

After running and looking for a place, they finally found a place that could be used as a temporary hiding location.

The young man pulled Alika's body in his arms. Suddenly Alika was shocked and her eyes widened perfectly. She had never been this close to a man before, but it was the situation that forced her to remain calm.

Instantly his gaze with the young man met each other, even Alika couldn't blink her eyes when she looked at the owner of the black bead. Alika can feel the breath that blows so close. Alika tries to neutralize her thoughts that are starting to get carried away by fantasy.

When the two of them looked at each other, at that moment the young man who had been chasing behind them passed by. Hiding among items piled on top of each other, making them invisible from the outside.

The youths did not stop there, instead they chose to keep running. After feeling safe, then the young man sighed and released his embrace on Alika, in the end creating an awkward situation between the two.

Alika hastily distanced herself, her cheeks reddened and caught by the young man's netra.

"Hey, you!" scolds Alika, when the young man easily wants to leave from there. "Where do you want to go? At least explain first who they are, why did they chase you earlier?" said Alika.

The young man ignored the question, he looked around to make sure the situation there was safe or not?

"Hey, Master! Are you deaf? Look at me!"

Alika was already screaming, but her voice didn't seem to be heard by the young man. He was getting angry and furious, until finally Alika pulled the young man's hand and again they were faced with a strange situation.
