Real Training

When we entered the 8th team's zone, I could see that it was no different from ordinary streets.

A little further on, a sign with the inscription eight hung on the top of a large building. Looks like we're going there.

After approaching Captain Marahiba, the captain began to introduce everyone one by one.

After putting on my uniform in a suitable place, I went out to the main garden. If I think about what the captain said, we will do different training in the regions of different teams every day.

Today's first training will be in 8nd Team.

As I started to wait in the main garden, I saw that the students I had seen at the academy came accompanied by Senpai Shinigami.

By the time all the students had finished meeting, 8th Team had more than a hundred student shinigami in its main garden.

Captain Marahiba first came forward and behind him all the other captains lined up in a single file.

Captain Marahiba held out the parchment to the students. The students examined the parchment one by one and handed it to the next student.

When the parchment came to me, I looked at my own name. The captain I was going to duel with was Yoshie Ayako. The person who was going to attack Captain Ayako with me was a student named Hatanaka Hiroshi.

When everyone came to their spouses, the group that would participate in the first duel was determined. When the names of 26 people were read, they all went into the garden one by one and came to the captain they had matched with.

I'm not going to the first duel because they didn't read my name. From my point of view this is a good thing, during this time I will learn and watch how the duel is.

The person we will fight is Captain Yoshie Ayako, since I don't know her, I asked Hiroshi next to me. Hiroshi pointed to the blond female captain in the middle of the garden.

It says four on the back of Captain Yoshie Ayako's uniform.

A bell sounded announcing the start of the Duel, then all the students started attacking the captains.

The captains were blocking incoming attacks without even needing to move.

Whereas, I thought I could at least see a few defensive moves.

The Asauchisi of the Shinigami that attacked each captain were stopped by an invisible barrier.

This means that no matter how much you attack any captain, it will have no effect. I understand why Captain Marahiba said you can give up now.

Because as it seems, there is no gap in the defense of the captains.

How then can we think of defeating them?

The duel had just begun, but already many students are starting to give up. I never intend to give up during a duel, as Captain Marahiba does not tell what happens to the students who give up.

The students whose names were written on the scroll and who would participate in the next duel continued to fight by going to the captains they matched instead of the losing students.

There seemed to be no time limit.

Half an hour had passed as many continued to give up.

Those who still did not stop fighting were trying different attack positions, but none of them could get past the captains' defenses.

When the students who had dueled with the captain of the 4nd Team, Yoshie Ayako, gave up, it was our turn. We entered the garden with Hiroshi and stopped in front of Captain Yoshie Ayako.

I haven't learned anything since the start of the Duel. I don't know from which direction we should attack, as I can't find the weak point of the captains.

Also, it was the first time I took the Zanpaktou out of its sheath. I can feel my hands start to sweat from excitement and stress.

One way or another, we have to attack. No matter how we attack, we only need to leave a small wound.

This will be my real training experience.
