Chapter 03: Trouble

Boring.

That's what I felt about today. It felt like days to get over with the periods. Finally break time came and I searched my pockets for money. I don't usually bring lunch to school because my dad isn't really a good cook. But when I do bring lunch to school, it'd either be some bread and jam. I didn't find a single penny in my pocket. I must've dropped it on the way to school. Well, this case wasn't rare. This is why I hate mornings. That's when I start getting bad luck. I sighed and took out a White handkerchief and put it over my face and went to sleep.

" Hey hey, you were gonna throw that guy right?" Keisuke asked again.

" How many times are you gonna ask that question?" My voice came muffled because of the handkerchief.

" Well it was cool and that's something you don't see everyday."

"Sighhh...if something like that was an everyday thing, the world would probably be in chaos."

Makino turned around and asked me

"Didn't bring your lunch box? I'll treat you as a thanks for today morning."

" Ah you don't need to. I'm fine thanks."

The guy who tried tripping me walked towards me and put his hands on my table. He caught the class's attention and said,

" Aren't you getting a little full of yourself? What are you tryna be? A class clown? Well no one finds you funny."

The class too murmured in agreement and I heard them saying

" The girl tried covering for him and he shows no sign of gratefulness."

" What a shameless guy."

Well I didn't blame them for getting angry. My first impression for everyone in the class was really bad. I didn't reply to the guy in front of me and just sat there with my handkerchief on my face.

" Ignoring me huh? And you, small kid." He pointed at Keisuke, " You found his act cool huh?"

" N-no I just meant that-" Keisuke got interrupted.

" How many times do I need to make you people understand that it was my fault about what happened in the morning" Makino spoke up.

" What a jerk, he's making the girl feel bad and take responsibility. What kind of guy is he."

My classmates murmured.

" Makino, I appreciate the thought that you're trying to clear my name but it's getting worse. I'd advise you to stop." I thought to myself silently.

" If you show off too much, me and my gang will be there to beat you up."

I sat there without saying anything and the guy got angry and slapped Keisuke's lunch box. It hit the wall and the contents were spilt. There was a bit of silence for a moment. I took the handkerchief from my face slowly and jolted up with full speed. At the same time, I caught the guy's face and lifted him with one arm.

" Ugh....release me...." The guy struggled and tried breaking free from my hand's grip.

" Oye...." I glared at the guy, then at the whole class," The one's who are showing off are you guys. I don't care what you do behind my back, but when you try doing something stupid in front of me, you get ready to get your skulls crushed."

I dropped the guy and the class went silent for a whole minute. The guy ran outside the classroom in fear.

" Woahhhh....you lifted him with one hand!!" Keisuke blurted out with sparkled eyes.

I looked at him with blank eyes. I guess this guy doesn't know how to read the atmosphere.

" Sigh....what are you gonna do for lunch now. Do you have money?"

" Hmm....you both wanna eat from mine?" Makino asked with a cheerful face.

Keisuke hesitated and said

" Well I'll take up on your offer."

" Sugawara, you can have some too" She offered.

I couldn't turn down a nice person, so I dug in myself.
