Brilliant Shine

As the pale flame approached Elyze it exploded with violent force creating a ripple of fire and heat. Within a second of the flames consuming her, Elyze snapped her fingers. My flames instantly froze, and just as quickly they shattered exploding in millions of pieces of ice and snow.

Heat and ice filled the room. Our two powers had cancelled each other out.

"You choose wrong, and so here I stand, unharmed and frankly, a little bored," Elyze smirked at me her cocky smile driving me to anger, "care to try something else."

Without wasting a second Elyze extended her hand drawing in icy air around her until it crystalized forming a finely crafted sword of ice.

In response I placed my hands together, focusing my magic. Elyze rushed toward me with her sword at the ready. I extended my hands, a brilliant light expanded outward from the palms of my hands.

"Luminance!"
