Black Clover: Undefined

Beliefs, religion, and culture helped humanity thrive. They helped build societies, civilizations, and kingdoms. However, we cannot say that they are indeed morally good. This fanfiction tells the story of a young man who became the victim of such beliefs. After finding out the truth, he sets out to be what society thought of him to be. The one and only, devil child. I don't own the cover picture. Of course the same goes for Black Clover. --------------------

Chapter 85

Coming out of the gate, Hisashi sees the vast ocean with tall and wide waves. He didn't have time to react to even roll as he fell into the water. He feels the water move, taking him with the waves. By this time, Hisashi had already forgotten about Ariel's last remarks about her magic. He was simply focused on getting out of the predicament.

With his strong body, he swims as hard as he can to rise above the surface. But the only thing he can manage to do is to take a breather before another wave hits him and sends him along with it.

An hour later, Hisashi notices the waves getting smaller and less powerful. He was able to get above the water and swim along the wave instead of being carried by it. As he continues to swim with it, he starts to see a shore. He also feels a weird sensation that he knows is the mana getting richer compared to the ones in his homeland. This sensation can only be described as going through a very faint layer of wind.

With the green shore full of trees in his eyes, Hisashi starts to swim even faster. He swam so much faster that he was creating a large sprout of water behind him. In no time, he reached it. He wrings his clothes for a bit as he takes out his apples and katanas from his dark storage. Seeing the unfamiliar scenery, Hisashi decided to look around first to confirm his location.

"They told me that the waves would bring me here, so it's probably that. But still, there are four kingdoms on the continent if I remember right. I hope it's the Spade Kingdom. I wanna look at it. But with no snow or fog… it's probably not."

Hisashi wanted to invade their country and decimate it to the core but unfortunately, they were simply hosts of demons. To him, they were as useless as one can be. They were simply the last of his troubles. Still, that doesn't mean that he will just leave them alone.

As he finishes the third apple, he has already reached a mile from the shore. Now, there are only flora and small fauna around him. He walks to the forest and hills and is somewhat amazed by its natural beauty which is different from any normal forest he has been to before.

He then sees that he has to cross a river to be able to cross the mountain. Not worrying about anything, he steps into the shallow river, barely above his knees instead of just jumping over it. As soon as he did, he felt a familiar sense in his body, but he wasn't able to find the answer to it and continued on his journey.

Somewhere in the kingdom, a woman with long blue hair and fins for ears stood up. In front of her was a young girl with glasses. Seeing the blue woman, the young girl was alerted and asked her.

"Undine, what is it?" The young girl asks.

"I don't know, Lolopechka. I sensed someone enter my mana zone and the kingdom, but it was but a brief moment. We should send one of the Spirit Guardians to check." A young man with black hair and gold ornaments was listening to the talk of the two without reaction.

"Gadjah, can you please call Sir Romon here? Tell him that it's urgent. We need his help." The 10-year-old girl commands the older boy named Gadjah.

"Yes, your Majesty." "I-…" Lolopechka blushes. She wanted to tell him not to call her Majesty again as she was still not used to it and instead treat her like a friend. However, the young Gadjah was always unfazed by her request, saying that he had to be respectful so she stopped herself from asking again.

With this, Gadjah leaves the room orderly. Minutes later, a tall, skinny man enters the room with Gadjah following him. He has an awkward bob cut and a pointy witch hat. He bows down as he smiles flamboyantly as he asks.

"What do you need me for, your beautiful young Majesty?" Lolepechka then smiles joyfully at Romon's compliment. She then looks at Undine behind her. The latter sees this and understands.

"Sir Romon. I've detected a certain someone west of our country. Please check the area out. However, no matter what happens, do not engage blindly in battle. If possible, invite them to Her Majesty's palace." Undine commands to him. Her last order also made Lolopechka and Gadjah perk up. "Not you too!" The kid complains.

"As you wish, Lady Undine, Your Majesty." He said as he once again showed them a reassuring flamboyant smile.

Continuing on his journey, Hisashi sees what seems to be an apple tree from afar. Seeing the similarities, he decided to go and pick out one. He picks one and is about to eat it when he sees a thick mist coming into his area. He was about to grab a hold of his sword's handle when he sensed a presence arrive along with it.

He stops his intent as he raises his hand, showing no malice. Seconds later, the area around him was not covered with white mist that wasn't made of mana. It was a sight that made him intrigued as there was only one instance that he had seen mana form a real thing.

And that instance was his imitation of the apple tree from the dungeon. Some people can create objects and real things but even then, he knows the difference between them. Also, it heavily depends on the person's attitude. Elemental stuff like this is the most obvious one. With his mana sensitivity, he can sense mana quite precisely compared to a normal samurai.

Without waiting for a second, Hisashi asks. "Is this the Heart Kingdom? I mean you no harm." Hisashi said as his eyes observed the mist that avoided covering him. Suddenly, a man's voice answered him.

"Akwt Ishd Diyopp Aysaw?" The man said gibberishly. This made Hisashi confused and asks the question once again. "Is this the Heart Kingdom? I mean you no har-" Just as Hisashi finished his question, he felt his lips and throat move differently, as if he was speaking a different language. Suddenly, the voice on the mist became understandable as he heard it.

"Who are you and why have you stepped on our land?" The man asks.

"I'm an adventurer. I got lost and arrived here. I assume that you don't recognize my attire or the weapons that I plan to use for security. I hope that shows my identity." Even though he was just getting the hang of it, he was now starting to understand.

'Did she transfer the knowledge of this continent's language to me? How convenient. Good thing she didn't forgot.'

"Hmmm… You're right. But what continent did you come from? And how did you know the name of our kingdom? The nearest continent to ours is to the east of Diamond Kingdom. And even that was quite challenging to traverse. Their clothes also don't match yours."

"I came from west of your continent. According to our country's historical records, if one can traverse the dangerous stormy barrier, one can discover another continent. So I did, and I was washed away by the waves here. The name of your continent and its countries were also written there." Hisashi said, feigning ignorance about the truth. Aside from Jeimi's tale that even she only heard from the others, he didn't have the slightest bit of idea about what this land is. His only recent assurance was Ryuya and the Spirit Queen, Ariel.

"Hmmm… Interesting… Come with me. There're more questions for you." The voice said as the mist started to move. It was still around Hisashi when he started to walk too, surrounding him like a spherical barrier.

'Even though this mist doesn't disrupt my ki, it can disrupt people's mana sensing. I wonder what else it can do. But, that's for later. I should prevent being perceived negatively when I've just arrived here.' Hisashi thought as he walked along the mist that was guiding him.

Hours of walking later, the mist that was covering him started to fade away. A palace with big pillars then greets him as he sees the color of the sun. It was already dusk when they arrived at the palace. It was pretty fast considering that it was just barely dawn when he arrived.

I want to make the language barrier a plot point but I forgot. I won't forget about it in the next one I promise. Queen Ariel's got that Convinient Magic: Plot Correcting Spell. Hope it wasn't that big of a deal.
