Chapter 19

As the two kids and two adults clash, everyone's reaction followed suit.

"Is this what yer having a hard time on, twerp?" Ryuya mocks. Kaato's fiery katana was locked with Ryuya's katana. At the same time, Sukehiro and Usuma's swords were in a stalemate too.

"You have very strong friends kid. Should we kill them for you?" Kaato said without removing eye contact from Ryuya.

The first to break their position was Sukehiro. He pushes Usuma causing him to move several meters. Ryuya also pushed Kaato.

Their goons currently watching, suddenly charged. Before they can move, however, a large number of wind blades appeared and shoot out at them. At the same time, two even bigger wind blades rushed to Kaato and Usuma which they blocked. However, the force of the wind caused them to be pushed again several meters away.

They recovered their balance and saw the two older kids rush to them. The two pairs clashed before one of the kids speak.

"Why don't we take this somewhere else?" Sukehiro said to Usuma. The latter looks at him confused and asks.

"You want your friend to be left alone with our people? You're a bad friend." Usuma said.

"He can defeat you all alone if he wants to. You can double their numbers and they would all fail to do so." Hearing the request, Usuma starts to move away from their group. If the bandits defeat the kid, they can figure out the location of the girl with him and use him as a hostage for the two more.

"You're exaggerating him. He may be full of tricks, but he'd fold in front of real strength."

"And what is that?" Sukehiro asked as their swords continued to clash.

"I'll show you." After saying so, Usuma slashes his sword downwards. Sukehiro's brows knitted as he blocks it with his sword. It became faster than before. Luckily, it wasn't an enormous change and he was able to block it with relative ease.

On the other side, Ryuya and Kaato did the same thing.

"I'll entertain you for a bit. Then, make you beg as I threaten you and your friend's lives." Kaato threateningly said.

"Not to judge, but yer into that? I pity your wife." Ryuya smiles.

"You and your jokes. You think that can save you?" Kaato said as his flaming sword clashed with Ryuya's. His fiery sword almost touched Ryuya and burnt some of his clothes. This didn't phase him though as he simply jumped back.

"Oooohh, fiery! You should be a chef?" Ryuya's jokes slightly pissed Kaato as he clicks his tongue. He charged again towards Ryuya who readied himself to defend himself.

"HAHAHAHA! Kid! You're dead meat." Said one of the bandits before rushing towards Hisashi. There are still ten bandits there. Although their leaders who were a lot stronger than them decided to play with the other kids, the bandits didn't deviate from killing Hisashi.

After all, he previously killed six of their companions. The bandit that Hisashi knocked out was there too. Although not fully recovered, he charged with the others. He held his sword with courage as he released his killing intent.

Hisashi, without talking, observed everyone with full focus. He was confident that he can fight the goons at the same time. However, since he never tried, he considered it as practical training and devoted all his attention to it.

As one of the bandits steps three meters away from him, Hisashi suddenly became a blur to their eyes. Then, a yellow boot appeared on the face of the nearest bandit who then flew away almost hitting another.

The others stopped for a moment after being surprised by what happened. When they look at Hisashi, another one of the bandits flew to hit a tree. They weren't surprised anymore and rushed at Hisashi at the same time.

Because he was massively faster than them, the bandits took readied themselves. As Hisashi hits the face of another, he was surprised to be blocked by the bandit's weapon. Noticing the circling of the bandits, Hisashi knew that he needs to do something.

To avoid being surrounded, he knows that using his sword and close combat isn't enough. Knowing so, he gathers yoryoku around his arm.

Then, a fire whip appears on two of his hands. It was about 2 to 3 meters long each. The appearance of the fire whips causes caution to the bandits but they didn't stop. As they saw Hisashi preparing to attack with the whip, they rushed even faster.

"Kid! This is for my friends! URAAAA!" One of the bandits ran with his double axe. He reached three meters near Hisashi when he moved.

*Drip*

A thud sounded on the ground and blood dropped on everyone's faces. That was because that same bandit's head was now gone and his body fell on the floor. His body fell exactly on Hisashi's feet.

The surprised bandits know that the spell that struck him, was the same spell their companion used on Hisashi, except it seemed faster. They then looked up only to see several more compressed wind arrows aimed at them rushing down. They were able to react early and move away. The barrage of compressed wind arrows caused a cloud of dust everywhere.

Ever since the bandits started encircling him, he quickly cast the spell. And to catch them off-guard, he cast a fire whip. However, he still injured about two of the seven bandits that were near him.

Seeing the cloud of dust, Hisashi dispelled his fire whip and kicked the ground. He then ducked and grab the twin axes of the dead bandit and threw them. The throw was quite amateurish but hearing a few exclamations of pain, Hisashi knew that he hit his targets.

When he was about to attack another, he detected a wide usage of mana and before he can try to analyze it, he was slowed down.

That wasn't the intention of the caster to slow him down but to blow the dust away. Now, everyone saw where Hisashi is and also saw two of their companions heavily injured.

This time, they all didn't hesitate anymore to attack one by one and rush to Hisashi. Behind them, the first two bandits that Hisashi sent flying over have already recovered.

Seeing their rage and commitment to killing him, Hisashi knew that any more tricks wouldn't be as effective. Close combat against many is the only way to go. His hands then release fire then enveloping his hands and arms just below his elbow. It didn't just cover it and started to form a claw-like gauntlet.

Now, aside from the yellow lightning boots on his leg, he also now has a flaming gauntlet. He raises his right arm and lowers his body blocking a sword attack from a bandit to his right.
