Johnny said, “I’m going to make tea.”

“Well, now you’re official. Once Tom collars you you’re in the sub club like it or not. You’ll like it, Tom won’t,” Brian told him. “I’m going to have to start combing the animal shelters.”

“Not yet. Tom is so mad, I don’t know if he’s coming back. He told me to stay here.” Johnny and Mrs. Mills came back with tea and cakes. “I’m supposed to stay here until he gets over being mad. Is that all right, Johnny? I don’t want to impose.”

“I have eight bedrooms and six baths in this house. You’re not imposing.” Johnny patted Robbie on his arm before he poured the tea.

“Tell us what happened,” Brian pleaded, sitting cross-legged in front of Robbie on the area rug.
