“Huh~ Turn around and take a look at yourself in the mirror first.”

Ileana snorted disdainfully. She used the exact same words of Liam to ridicule him which he had used earlier for her.

Liam’s face darkened at her remark, as he squinted his eyes sharply in her direction. Ileana stood unfazed.

“Ah really? Why do you look angry then? Do I owe you money?” Liam questioned Ileana.

He raised his eyebrows anticipating her response. Initially he was embarrassed but Ileana’s disdainful attitude made him irritated. Subconsciously, he hoped that she would be jealous. But that was not even the case.

The more one did not care about another, the more one desired to be cared about by the person. This was the atrocity of human mentality. Especially a man who had been hurt in the past. Though they want the distance but at the same time they want someone to be around them.
