Despite Liam’s cold behavior, Ileana stood in his bedroom. She had been waiting outside the bathroom door.

When he came out, their eyes met. Ileana sniffed, his body emanating a fresh minty smell. Water droplets were dripping from the tips of hair and tracing his jawline. Ileana felt thirsty, since colliding sparks were sent but none of them acknowledged it.

Breaking the locked gazes, Liam said, “You have the right to choose. But… make sure whatever you choose, no one will be held responsible.”

He was implying that if Ileana stayed back then she had to abide and stick to her choice. No matter how good or bad her life gets, it would have nothing to do with anyone.

Ileana just nodded in affirmation, and Liam also didn’t bother her anymore. She then went back to her room.
