Chapter １

Clothes lay scattered on the expensive wooden floor, hinting at a wild night.

Ava Lins' whole body ached, she turned her head to stare into his familiar face, silently scolding herself. She's crazy to have a one-night stand!

His features were as sharp as a knife.

They'd had a one-night stand after not speaking for three years. Was he drunk?

Despite her bitterness, she had to accept that this was the best outcome. She would rather he did not know her.

And she should cut him out of her life altogether...

A one-night stand. When she said goodbye at dawn, it was time to leave.

Ava Lins sat up, changed her clothes and picked up her torn stockings. She groaned sadly, thinking that this guy was still aggressive and impatient.

"Ava Lins, you want to leave again? Where do you want to go? Hmm?"

Her eyes were moist, but her heart was pounding. It could be love...

Ava Lins did not like parties, but asGoden BranGoden Bran's wife, she had to go.

That she could meet her high school friends in such a place made her happy. But when Nathan Hill spoke those words, she felt ants nibbling at her heart.

"Ava, do not blame me for not reminding you, but watch out for your spouse," Nathan Hill added. Not to mention, pay more attention to those young babies.

Ava's heart skipped a beat when she heard that. "What do you mean?"

"Your spouse and one of our female employees are pretty close. Also, my friend reported that they regularly meet secretly at the Glorious Hotel..."

Those words kept running through her head.

A man next to her stared back blankly. His gorgeous features were icy cold. He kept a stiff upper lip and avoided eye contact.

"Why are you staring like that?"

Daniel Goden Branlooked her with suspicion.

The ringtone of the phone silenced her. "Where are you?" he asked . OK I'll be right there.

After hanging up the phone, he turned his car around. "I have something to do, so take a cab back."

"What's up?"

With only a phone call, he left his wife ?

Ava got out and it drove away as if he did not care that he was abandoning his wife on the street at night.

The cool wind blew in her face and made her heart ache.

"Glorious Hotel," she muttered to the cab driver, remembering Nathan Hill's comments.

Room 324 was open.

Ava Lins wanted to return home and stop the absurd notion of discovering her husband cheating, but she could not control her legs and stepped inside.

There was no one there.

The sound of running water from the bathroom surprised her.

A crash, a crackle... And laughter accompanied it.

It was the giggle of a man and a woman.

The beautiful voice of a woman and the gasp of a man sounded from inside...

These sounds were like needles piercing her heart. Every cell in his body cried out in pain.

Her husband, Goden Bran, had never touched her, let alone treated her like this...

Suddenly she heard hurried footsteps.

Then the door of the suite was flung open.

Turning to the door, Ava Lins was surprised to see her own sister, Tiara Lins, gasping for breath. She had not said anything, but she had heard. "What brought you here? Sister!"

Tiara Lins' face turned from astonishment to sadness. "Could it be that the older sister is the woman Jeorge fell in love with?" she asked Ava Lins through tears.

Tiara Lins never expected to come here so soon, to prove that George Milton had lied, and to meet her own sister!

"How can you?"

"Do you know that I like him? Did not I tell you that I had a crush on him? So you took him away from me?!" She could not believe it was just a coincidence! "It's not what you saw."

"It!""I did not think you were that kind of woman!" said Tiara Lins, smiling self-deprecatingly.

The bathroom door opened just as the tension rose. A man in a towel came into Ava's eyes.

She was taken aback by his dark look. Was that

Goden Bran?

Tiara Lins realized the reality before Ava Lins could recover from her fright. Her eyes welled up with tears as she ran out.

"Tianra!"

Ava caught up to her and took her arm. Tiara Lins slapped her with her other hand in the following second.

"Ava Lins! "You let me down, and my brother-in-law too!"

Ava was stunned, her thoughts swirling, unable to make sense of the circumstances.

" She's not well."

Behind her, Ava Lins turned to see the man gently lower his head and look at her with thin lips twisted into a sly grin, but his gaze was icy cold.

Ava stepped toward him and clenched her fist. Her arrogant look became furious. She raised her hand to slap him, but he grabbed her wrist.

He held her wrist tightly so she could not hurt him.

His mouth was straight and he kept looking into her eyes with hardness. She tried to pull her hand away, but he would not let go.

Those eyes, as calm as a pool of water, stared at her. At that moment, Ava Lins felt like the clown in front of him.

"Go!"

He grinned. He had never been yelled at like that before.

He looked thoughtful and narrowed his dark eyes. He let go of her hand, a strange grin on his face.

"You are better than your sister."

"You!"

Ava Lins could not believe her ears!

Was this the man she fell for?

She did not want to spend time with him. She gave him a nasty look before turning and fleeing.

Ava stared at the clock as Goden Bran returned. 1 a.m.
