Road Block

Selene felt her body cramp together in fear. Breanna and Brandon looked at her with little red eyes from crying.

They looked worriedly at their unconscious brother, who was on the floor. Rushing to the ground, Selene picked him up in a hurry.

"What happened to your brother?" Selene asked as she lay the little boy, who was still unconscious on the bed.

"I didn't do anything mommy, it was Brandon," Breanna accused, pointing at her little brother.

Selene didn't have time for their blame shifting. She quickly felt his pulse, feeling her nerves relax on feeling a faint heartbeat.

"Charr, get the car ready, we're going to the hospital, I'll call Jake on the way there," Selene said, still examining her unconscious son.

"Kids go to the car, I'll drop you at grandpa, okay, and don't worry Bryson will be okay," Selene tried to comfort them. She looked at Brandon's guilty face as he lowered his eyebrows, avoiding eye contact.
