Mia's POV

I decided to cease going to work. I finally came to terms with the fact that I was too far along in my pregnancy to keep moving at the pace that the fashion business expected of me and that there was no way I could conceal the fact that I was pregnant anyhow. In addition to that, I let Chris choose how he wanted to pay for everything. I had long since accepted the fact that he would always be a part of my life. Even though it wasn't what I was expecting, it didn't turn out to be such a horrible thing in the end.

Compassion, honesty, and determination were all traits that Chris demonstrated. It made sense to me why my father wanted him to work for the company. In my opinion, he would be just as devoted to a life partner as any other person.
