Chapter 51 Don't Have Clothes

The leaves are falling completely unattached to their branches. Some flowers that are blooming in the fall season are bearing fruits and the winter trees are starting to grow beautifully. The air isn't as cool as the first day of Fall, it already carries a cold breeze which makes them shiver. This is the sign that the winter is near. Some trees planted by the tribe are slowly growing.

The winter trees are spread out around the Tribe. The Tribe beastmen went far from their territory to find these trees and were carried by hundreds of beastmen for many days and nights to plant them again in the tribe. They call it to transplant, transferring the tree to another place for it to grow. It's very hard and most of it died.

Crab apple trees are a lot as they believe that it will increase their fertility. They even planted and grew it from seeds to trees. Crab apples are already ready to be eaten but the tribe rarely ate them in Fall. They will eat it in winter instead.

Beastmen are very cautious when letting a female eat it though. One female has died because she ate some core parts of a crab apple. Every time the beastmen give female crab apples they will take away the skin, seeds, and core, then dice it into small pieces. Others don't dare to give their females crab apples.

Right now what the beastmen are doing is constantly sweeping the ground and piling the dried leaves at a side. Someone will take it and process all the dried leaves into something else or material that the tribe can use. They mostly use it as fertilizer. The other beastmen are planting winter fruit and vegetable seeds that they traded with the Monkey and Deer Tribes. The Monkey Tribe sold it cheaply as planting and growing trees are hard.

When the first day of fall happened, Hu'er inspected the leaves on their tree. She saw how the healthy green leaves slowly turned into yellow and then orange some went from brown, day by day. Some leaves still have greens, some completely broke off the tree because of how dry it is when faced with the wind.

"You are growing well. I will ask them to make new clothes for winter." Jiu Hu is examining Hu'er's health and suddenly realizes that not only Hu'er is healthier, but she also grew taller. Her dress becomes shorter. He is afraid that she will outgrow her clothes when they haven't made any bigger clothes.

Hu'er remembers her white fox clothes and shawl, "I want fluffy fox fur." Although she can only get orange ones, it's enough for her.

"Fluffy fox fur? Okay. I will tell them to make fluffy clothes." Jiu Hu caresses her hair.

"Thank you, Dada!" Hu'er beamed and jump at her Dada to hug him.

Jiu Hu who suddenly got a hug remember her hands, "Your hands need to be protected too. I will tell them to make a hand warmer."

"Scarf," Jiu Hu answered. He too is thinking what are the things Hu'er needs in winter.

"Yes, that one! Scarf and what else?" Taps the brush he just got. It was given by Shun Su.

"Hat!" Hu'er jumped, making the two panic and Jiu Hu catch her mid-air. Put Hu'er on his lap.

"Hat?" They never heard of such a thing.

"Like this.." Hu'er starts describing what a winter hat is. Then began telling them what a shawl is, describing what it is. She excitedly does so without noticing how her Daddies can't understand her.

"Okay okay. Try to draw it here. We will give it to your Daddy Yi Fu to make." They look helpless. Both of them don't know how to sew well. They only know the basics but making and learning another way to make clothes is something they can't do.

Min He has always been focused on learning how to read, and write, and is very sensitive toward numbers. Drawing is his hobby. Jiu Hu is a physician, from cub to now, his only passion is to make medicine and heal the females and beastmen.

"There." Hu'er finally finished her drawings. She also put some details of how she wanted it to be.

Min He is amazed, "Hu'er is great at drawing. Good job!" Completely appreciating the drawing and details of what Hu'er made. He likes it very much. Even Jiu Hu is proudly smiling.

"Where did you learn what a shawl and hat are?" Min He scrutinized the drawing of the shawl and hat. It just looks like a fabric to him with some lines on two sides. The other one looks like an upside-down basket without a handle.

"Back Seasonal Trading Center, I saw a female wearing that and heard her say shawl and hat." Hu'er completely made up a story. No female wears a shawl in this world. The two couldn't remember seeing a female wearing such a thing but they just nodded at her. That was really close for Hu'er.

Fortunately, Daddy Ke Le ran up as a fox and immediately transformed, "Jiu Hu! Bring Hu'er out. Those four cubs are transforming!" Then, he ran away.

"Let's go." Jiu Hu transformed. Min He put Hu'er at Jiu Hu's back, before transforming too. They ran out. This is the first time she saw her Dada and Daddy Min He's fox form. Hu'er is happy that she can ride one of them too.

Hu'er leans towards her Dada's ears, "Dada, who's transforming?" Her Dada's ear twitched, making her eyes shine.

It was just in time that they are already in front of the tree of life. Jiu Hu transformed back. "It should be your Daddy Lu Yang's cubs, your four brothers; Lu Yin, Lu Min, Lu Cheng, and Lu Wen. Just in time to transform. Today is their sixth birthday."

Hu'er is testing if her Dada can speak in a fox form, it seems like he can't. However, watching them transform for the first time is a rare occurrence for her. She excitedly said, "Oh!"
