Jiu Lin smiles. He made sure to remember what Min He said. He actually didn't have any plans on letting Hu'er get pregnant but even if he have a planned thing like that couldn't be controlled.

There is no medicine that would make a female temporarily couldn't get pregnant. And even if there is such a thing, they would surely ban it and forbid anyone to create it.

Min He finally looks at her, "Hu'er we've been having a bond and talking to each other quite a lot. If ever there is anything you want to know, I'm here and will be able to provide any information as long as it is not against the tribe or any females.

You are our little female and will always be.

Oh, before I forgot. Hu'er, don't punch him, slap him or even kick him. Don't hurt yourself. If he bullies you, we will bully him back. Just tell us."

"Oh?" Min He looked at the sky and saw stars brightly shining. He nodded at him and gave Jiu Lin and Hu'er a strange smile.

"Jiu Lin, you can bring Hu'er to your new home," Jia Ting informed him. This is Jia Ting's first time speaking. His voice is hoarse. They could hear how exhausted s

he is.

Before she could even ask if he was okay, Jiu Lin suddenly carried her. "Oh!" she yelped and tensed.

Her eyes went wide. She unconsciously put her hands around his neck. Her face flushed. She could feel everyone looking at them and it made her very shy.

However no one said anything, they just look at Jiu Lin carrying Hu'er, walking toward the gate that leads to their home.

Hu'er didn't try to see their reaction and buried her face in his chest. She could feel him getting tense. She suddenly smelled something good on him and sniffed, making him walk awkwardly.

They could hear them laughing from afar as Jiu Lin opened the door. He immediately closed the gates and walked faster to get to Hu'er's private house.

"Sorry," Hu'er muttered and raised her head to look at Jiu Lin.

"It's alright," he muttered back, not daring to look at her.

He opened the house and directly brought her to the room she is going to stay in. "For today, you can't go out of this room. It's what they called tradition."

"Old Grandmom never told me about this…."

"En. Dad did tell me you might not know. You can sit down and I will tell you." Jiu Lin guided her to the bed.

Hu'er sat down and felt the softness of the bed. She smiled and bounced on the bed. She taps it and said, "Sit down."

"This…"

"I don't want to look up when you are telling it to me." He was about to sit down on the floor but Hu'er immediately said, "I don't want to look far down too."

He pursed his lips and sat on the bed, a little far from her. Hu'er didn't care and felt happy already.

He sigh relief when Hu'er didn't draw near him. "Most of the old females will tell the young females when it's near the birth season of the upcoming adult female.

Like you, Old Grandmom should have told you about it when it was spring but couldn't because her body was not fit to teach or think too much.

This tradition is about females turning ten. When females are turning ten and their birth season is coming all unmated beastmen must be out of her way. On the first day of the season, except Summer, which is the second day, the whole family will eat together to strengthen the bond of the family, that includes your future mates.

Other females can't go either to avoid distractions, fights, complications or any kind of accident to make sure that the female who's going to be an adult will have a great future with no or even just fewer problems along the way.

The biological Dad of the female will first have a one-on-one talk and give his blessings. Then eat together and reminisce to hope that everyone will not forget that there is a female in the family that we need to protect and care for.

Jiu Lin stopped already and didn't say anything so Hu'er couldn't but comment, "That's a lot."

He nodded, "Yes. But don't worry. I heard that this thing only happens for the first mating. Second mating and so on don't have this complicated procedure."
