Chapter 107 Begging (2)

Shun Su and Song Li came up holding Hu'er's food and drinks. They didn't expect to see an open door and Hu'er and Jiu Lin staring at each other.

Instead of waiting for something to happen. Hu'er opened the door and said, "Just in time. I'm very hungry." She then walked away to go to her fur blanket.

"Oh!" They followed her in and started arranging her food on the table.

Because of what she said, Shun Su and Song Li misunderstood the reason why Hu'er opened the door. They thought that she was just too hungry and asked Jiu Lin to get her food.

They knew that Jiu Lin didn't know if the food was already cooked or not. Maybe it's the reason why Jiu Lin couldn't respond to her.

With this misunderstanding, Hu'er was saved from explaining herself.

Jiu Lin watched them for a while and saw that Shun Su and Song Li have no intention to go out yet. He wanted to give them space so he said, "I'll be going."

Hu'er looks at him and nods, "Okay. Take care."

"Hmm." Jiu Lin nods and looks at the two. Shun Su and Song Li only smiled at him. He let them be and went off.

Hu'er let the two of the and ate the food. This yet again confirmed that Hu'er is just hungry.

While she is eating her food the two have given secret signals to each other. They, of course, stayed for a purpose.

The two look at each other and then sneakily survey Hu'er's room with their eyes. At the very side of the room, there are books. They just don't know if it's the book Hu'er made.

They watched Hu'er make the cover of the books. But every cover she made was white. They saw Jiu Lin's book cover which is very pretty. Hu'er must have put a color and painted the cover book.

Song Li hesitatingly mutters, "Hu'er…" He is nervous and scratched his nape.

"Yes?" Hu'er stops eating and looks up. Completely puzzled why they called her and thinking about why they are still there and their purpose.

"This…" Song Li looks at Shun Su. signaling him to do it instead. Shun Su glared at him.

To help them out, Hu'er picked someone to explain, "Shun Su?"

Shun Su smiles awkwardly and embarrassingly says, "We have been wanting to ask about the book Jiu Lin has…"

All along, they are still thinking about what Xin Hua has asked Jiu Lin. It is as if they would also have a gift. If the gift is also the book Hu'er made.

"Oh…" Song Li didn't want to ask anymore and wanted to drag Shun Su.

However, Hu'er hesitatingly informed them, "It is supposed to be a mating gift. I'll give yours after thirty days."

Both were stunned and looked at her with happiness. She couldn't help but smile. Hu'er continues to eat. Song Li's cooking has always been her favorite.

After a while, the two finally recovered. "We will have a gift too?" Song Li couldn't believe it and asked again.

She was confused as to why he asked again but when Hu'er looks up to see them staring at her, their eyes are like begging her to say yes. That's when she realized that not giving them gifts and letting them know that they would also be given a gift had caused them to have a little insecurity.

Guilty, she sadly said, "I'm sorry. I should have told you immediately and made it clear. I didn't think it through. I just wanted to surprise you guys."

Can you promise me that?" Hu'er smiles at them gently. Her eyes filled with love and affection.
