The Meeting Room
Thomas's declaration made everyone in the meeting room have their eyes rolling. The General should be the one exercising his authority, not you. They thought.
The general looked at Thomas and opened his mouth but words couldn't come out. He closed his mouth and took a deep breath.
The general was in a dilemma, should he punish Thomas and lose a talented young man that could help them win or let him behave anyhow he likes while he loses his prestige.
Everyone watched the general waiting for his decision. Most were hoping for him to detain Thomas and punish him severely. Especially the high-ranking officials, their ego had been tarnished.
The general took a few minutes to put his emotions under control, looking stern and serious. His eagle eyes were now sharp and deadly. His white hair was flaunting gently.
