Beginning

"Woah" a group of kids walked through a sci-fi landscape, it was filled with creatures of all shapes and sizes, some looked humanoid whiles some looked the furthest thing from human,

"I don't think we're on earth anymore..."

"No shit, Sherlocke-"

The signs, the neon lights, and the futuristic vehicles that fly by were all eye-catching, it was all so new and wonderful it was as if time stopped.

"Astra, are you seeing this?"

A girl with brown hair and green eyes looked around her in awe, she couldn't believe it.

She was actually..

"Astra..."

"Astra.."

"Astra!!"

Astra jolted awake from the sudden noise, her hair a mess and covering her brown eyes from sleeping on the school desk,

"School's over, and don't forget you have a test to study for," The teacher informed, leaving the room.

Astra sighed, looking down at her feet, tired and disappointed,

"Right...a world like that," She muttered to herself,

"Don't exist."

__

"Mom, I'm home," Astra announced as she let herself in,

"Mom?"

There was no response, she shrugged it off and walked to the kitchen to grab something to snack on, seeing a note on the door,

"I won't be back for a while, so I left enough food in the fridge, Sorry to do this to you again. Be good and I might consider taking you to that astronaut camp you always wanted to go to this summer! See you next month, Love Mom." Astra read out loud,

"Not again," Astra sighed opening the fridge,

'I know mom is busy with her research and stuff but,' Astra thought,

'Why can't we stay home together longer than a week?'

_Knock_knock,

Someone knocked on Astra's door,

"Delivery," A man shouted from the other side, Astra walked over to the door, looking through the glass to see what was there.

The delivery man was gone, but she saw a box.

It had no logo of any major companies on it, and no address tag either but she took it in anyway,

"Did Mom send this for me?" She wondered, resting the box on the kitchen table.

Picking up her phone, she decided to dial her mom's phone number to call her but with each attempt she made the phone never got through,

eventually, she gave up, sitting right in front of the box.

"So..." She muttered,

"Mysterious box,"

She reached out towards the box, pulling the tape off slowly.

"Who are you from..."

The box opened, revealing a watch to her,

It looked like a Fitbit but its leather strap was colored black with a few cyan highlights to match,

Astra looked at the watch, picking it up to try it on.

"I think this is how you turn it on, right?" She fiddled with the watch turning it left, right, pushing buttons until something finally happened.

The watch's cyan glow illuminated the room, and the number ten appeared on its small screen, it started to count down getting faster with each second,

"What the hell!?" Astra tried to take it off, but it won't budge.

When the watch hit zero, a blinding white light flashed, and when it dimmed, Astra was gone.

"Sometimes I wonder what could be beyond the stars, People say aliens while some say we are the only living beings in this vast universe.

The universe is so big that we have all the technology in the world yet, it's still left up to the imagination to some degree,"

"I want to see the universe with my own two eyes!"
