Barren Roads

" Doctor Aneurysm patient's blood pressure is under 90 . "

She stopped as she panted .

" I gave her lV And Dopamine but it won't go up please come and check her "

" Ok I'll be there "

I said and turned towards Hannah .

" Hannah look I have to go now and if you don't want to accept it either say a big no to James . Catch you later "

I smiled and started walking towards Aneurysm ward .

After a long surgery I came out of the operation theatre and met James . He is one of my buddies since high school and got rejected n number of times by me , but anyway we were close friends and he is indeed very potential surgeon and friend .

" Hey , where are you going ? "

He said enthusiastically and smiled as always .

" To the ICU to see Mr. Walt ."

I said with a faded smile , tiredness evident in my tone .

"So you said NO to them ? "

As we walked towards ICU giving me a ' why ' look .

" Yeah , I guess I made it very clear "

I told him as I looked in his eyes with a blank yet stern expression .

" But I fear you have to change it "

He said with a smirk .

" Why "

I asked anxiously and somewhat irritated .

" I guess he has a lot of connections and because of his request director sir has cancelled all of your surgeries here along with appointments from now on , I fear it will be a part of your duty now "

He said that with sarcastic smirk in the end .

I was definitely shocked and taken aback from his answer . I cant believe that somebody still hold the power to restrain me !

bloody hell how can I forget that money can buy people .

" I'm gonna resign form this shit pile hospital"

was all I could think at that time and said so and fuming I started walking out when James stopped me gripping my hand saying -

" Hey are you serious , calm down "

He said with lines on his forehead and his smirk long gone .

" Do I look like I'm joking . Also to hell with this hospital , I'm a surgeon I can find another suitable job for me where I'm respected "

with anger dripping down I said , Shrugging his hands off of me and walking past him out of the hospital .

Gritting my teeths tight , fuming in rage I came out of the hospital . though it was true that some part of me wanted to see those eyes but still not in this way and this fanned my rage as I left in haste .

I believed in myself and I will never bow to anyone for money so I made my way towards my car , getting in I changed gears and sped off , I was driving on a quit high speed .

On my way , in my brain I had beaten up that silver eyed devil a thousand times to death , no doubt I like helping people and loved my job but I can't bow to something like this. I am being forced to do a bloody babysit job for a little octopus . I was busy in my thoughts when rain started pouring down .

I was about to reach the highway when Hannah called me -

" hello , siren I heard you sped off , well anyway there's a huge traffic jam in the main highway so take the long root from that white mansion ok you will reach soon cuz I'm stuck in here and ya be careful . "

she said with a distressed tone .

" Hanna look I'm sorry I won't be able to make it up to you tonight lets go to the Monnet's later ok "

I told her with a apologetic tone . We decided to go to Monnet's for a good dinner and alcohol , since it's been month we were busy with our work .

" Hey its ok . take your time , I'm always there to support you ok , and don't worry it will end soon "

she said consoling me , understanding my situation and ended the call with a those usual but comforting words -

" take care sweetie "

" you too " .

She was like an elder sister to me . I always respected her and cherished her as a sister .

I took a turn to the long way and started driving . After 50 minutes of haste driving I was passing by these barren roads which passes from a huge mansion like 4 storey building . the huge gardens or jungle to be more appropriate surrounding it , was usually dark and silent . nobody knows much about this place but yet I was there admiring the silence and making my way past it still fuming in rage .

I knew it could be dangerous but the inner retaliation in me against the authorities of hospital was blazing so I wanted to go home as soon as possible . unaware of what lies ahead .

I was passing by those barren roads and to my surprise , suddenly the car's tyre slipped may be because of the rain and the high speed and everything happened in a blink , I tried to control the gears and staring wheel but was unable to . My eyes turned wide when I saw the car was out of the track heading towards a massive tree trunk . The car collided with a huge thudding sound . I was screaming to the top of my lungs from panic and fear .

My head collided with the staring wheel and from then everything turned blur , I could feel some warm liquid dripping from right side of my forehead which was blood I presume . My vision became blur and everything turned in slow motion .

After a long blurry hour , my whole body was in tremendous pain when I saw someone opening the door he took me in his arms like princess I could feel his warmth in that cold and rainy day but what I was able to see was just those silver eyes !
