Mari’s Room

"Really?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Your man is hungry." He joked, closing the pantry door and walking over the couch taking a seat.

"You didn't eat before you left your house?" I asked.

"Eating here is my preference, the snacks here are way better than the ones at my place."

"Well Jay, Rosko is down in the basement as usual. I'm heading upstairs to watch something ."

"I didn't come here to see him, I came here to see you." I side-eyed him. "I'm serious Mari. So...can I come to your room?"

"Well since you're already here..."

"Great" I was cut off by Jay pushing past me and heading up to my room. I made my way to my room after him and I was welcomed with the sight of him spinning around in my lounge chair.

"Turn on a movie." He said putting his food down.

"I'm gonna take a nap, you could put on something though,"  I said throwing the remote his way.

"Yh go to sleep," he said

"I will" I sprawled myself out on my bed when suddenly I felt a pillow making contact with my head. "I should've known I would get any sleep with your ass in here. You just wanna play Mario Kart?"

"Let's a go"

"Shut up and get a controller"

An hour later

"What do you get from cheating?" Jay said as he looked up at me, I was celebrating my tenth win.

"Jay I don't know about you but all this winning makes me hungry for some pizza, I'll call Rosko and see what he wants.

I pick up my phone, put it on speaker and call Rosko. The phone rings and he answers almost immediately.

"Mari, what you want?"

"Well Jay's here and I was just tryna see what you want from the pizza place but if you don't want anything, that's fine with me."

"Heyyyy Rosko" Jay said, Rosko kisses his teeth.

"Get a large meat lovers pizza with garlic bread. Wait, let me see what Lathan wants."

As I was waiting for Rosko to respond I looked over at Jay who looked confused.

"Lathan said he'll take a calzone"

"Okay, I'll call you when the pizza's here," I said and hung up.

"Who's Lathan?" asked Jay
