Another Beginning

"Seb-..Se-...SEBASTIAN!"

Sebastian opened his eyes, everything was a little blurry at first, but once everything cleared out, he realized his entire room was upside down, and it took him a few seconds to realize his upper body had already fallen off his bed which is why he thought everything was upside down.

As his right arm hits the floor, he groans. His head feels like it's going to explode from the pounding headache, and his mouth tastes awful. Sebastian sighs deeply and returns to his bed, intending to sleep for a little longer.

But his bedroom door swings open to reveal a woman wearing an apron that covers her chest up to her knees, her lime-colored hair tied in a bun with some of it falling in her face, and her magenta-colored eyes looking concerned when she notices the jumbled pile of blankets and pillows on the floor.

"Sebastian, you told me yesterday that you were going to use this blanket and pillows to study," the woman stated, crossing her arms across her chest.

Sebastian looked at the woman, perplexed. Why is there a stranger in his room? Who exactly is Sebastian? Somehow, the name sounds familiar. Maybe he heard about him at work or somewhere else.

Sebastian quickly shrugged it off as all of a sudden memories of recent events flashed through his mind. His eyes widened as he jumped off his bed, remembering the crash he was in, but something was off. He looked up at the woman in front of him, who is looking at him clearly concerned.

Is he getting smaller? He looked down and noticed he was wearing a black long sleeve and a short that reached his knees, his hands were like those of a child, and he noticed a standing mirror on his right as his reflection shocked him.

He has white hair that reaches below his jawline, pale skin, and big plum-colored eyes that were filled with surprise and fear at his own appearance and the sight of his child-like body.

The woman becomes concerned. "Are you okay?" she inquires. "You're acting strangely, do you feel ill? You're easy to get sick after all" she asked as she knelt on the ground and placed her hand on Sebastian's brow checking for his temperature.

"Mama?" Sebastian inquired as another surge of memory flashed through his mind; the woman in front of him is his mother, Silvia Charlotte Luckhelz, and his name was Sebastian Az Luckhelz; he had recently turned 12 and that is all he can remember so far.

"Perhaps you were tired from yesterday's preparations," Silvia said as she stood up, looking down at Sebastian before smiling and gently patting him.

"Just lay back down sweetie, Mama will bring you your breakfast," Silvia said as she exited Sebastian's room, quietly closing the door behind her.

Sebastian just stared at her before jumping back into his bed and opening the window next to it. His room was on the house's third floor.

When he looked out the window, his eyes widened since the first thing he noticed is the five moons in the sky, despite the fact that it was still quite early.

He looks down to get a better view of their town, when he sees the people outside his window talking with each other while carrying baskets of fruits and vegetables; they seem so happy and festive for some unknown reason.

Then he noticed some men in the distance putting a paper with red scribbling on the branches of each of the trees that surrounded the small town.

The town is mostly surrounded up by woody trees, shrubbery, and bushes, and the houses were built with wooden frames and clay tile roofs.

He noticed some children playing near one of the village's wells near the center of town, which also has the same red scribbled paper, and an old wooden bridge over a river on the far north side of town.

There were also children playing on a grass field in the town's east side, laughing happily, and another group of adults having a small talk.

The town wasn't huge, but it wasn't tiny either. The view alone tells Sebastian that the town is prosperous, with its abundance of good living conditions, healthy food, and abundant resources. What most surprised him was how peaceful everyone seemed to be around here.

The door to Sebastian's room swings open as his mother enters, carrying a tray that she places on the small table beside his bed. "..Mama, what are those papers they're putting?" Sebastian asked, pointing outside their window.

"Those are commemorative talisman, darling.." Silvia explained, lightly chuckling, "it's part of the preparation for the arrival of the heroes in o-"

"Heroes?" Sebastian inquired, his voice full of excitement as he stared at the paper from the window. He had realized something earlier, but he needed confirmation, and it appears that he was correct, this world where he was transported was indeed governed by magic. Something that only happens in the novels he often reads.

Because he was transported, he has to have some incredible magical abilities. "Mama, is there any way to test magic ability?" he asked again, but the answer didn't come when the door swings open again, revealing a man around 6'2 tall, dressed in dark blue pants and leather shoes but nothing to cover his upper body that reveals his well built body and a huge diagonal scar that runs from his left shoulder onto his right waist, his eyes were bright blue, his brown curly locks tied in a ponytail and two black line tattoo circling his neck.

At first glance, the man appeared to be quite intimidating, as if he were going to wrestle a bear all by himself. "Az Az! Let's go!" The man exclaimed with a huge childish smile shuttering his scary image, he walked towards Sebastian, but Silvia only looked at him with furrowed brows, causing the man to come to a halt.

"Sebastian is feeling ill because you forced him to help yesterday," Silvia explained, crossing her arms and making the man look down at the ground.

"I mean, the child is already 12; he can at least help, besides he has already failed his-"

"He already failed what?" Silvia cuts him off, glaring daggers at him once again as if to say he'll be damned if he keeps talking, which is a funny sight for Sebastian because the man is much bigger, but he can't even retort back.

After a minute of silence, the man finally gives up, "Nothing," he muttered in defeat, Sebastian chuckles under his breath, but his vision becomes hazy as a sudden surge of pain appears on his head like he was hit by a bat, and some random memory appears once more.

The man in front of him is none other than his own father Coste Luckhelz; he also recalls some event from his childhood, but the memories are very random.

"Seb-..Sebastian!" Silvia exclaimed, and Sebastian snapped back to reality as he noticed both of his parents looking at him with concern.

"Sebastian, what happened?" Silvia asked, kneeling in front of her son and caressing his soft skin. "I'm fine.." Sebastian answered as his mother stared at him before standing up. "We're going to let you rest, eat your breakfast, and call me if you need anything," Silvia stated as she and Costa exited the room.

Sebastian just stared as they closed the door and he heaved a sigh "It took me 12 years just to regain my past life memories, and now my mind is confused about which memory is the true one," Sebastian speculated as he rose from his bed and faced the mirror.

"My hair isn't the same color of my parents' hair, so that has to mean something, right?" Sebastian wondered to himself as his gaze landed on his hair-covered forehead. Brushing his hair to the side, he noticed a scar near his brows that he couldn't remember where he got from.

Sebastian's stomach growled loudly, since his mind is so focused on trying to remember he didn't even got a chance to think about eating. "Hungry," he stated as he walked over to the table to begin eating his breakfast after all you can't think with an empty stomach.

"I'll definitely find answers for all of my questions."
