Chapter 7: Encountering Kids
Wang Cheng closed his eyes and swallowed the emerald.
After he sallowed the emerald, his body started to feel very warm and comfortable. It was almost like when his mother gave him warmth when he was born. It was so comfortable Wang Cheng didn't simply want the feeling to go away, but slowly the feeling faded and a message popped up.

Wang Cheng was surprised to see the effects of consuming an emerald.
"I wish I can find more emeralds", Wang Cheng shook his head and said to himself "No I shouldn't be too much greedy". He had found the emerald by luck and his luck wouldn't remain the same forever, so he should control his greed.
If he becomes too much greedy then, he would die faster. In this cruel world there are no people who is not greedy maybe these monsters were created and sent by the gods as a retribution for evil doings.
When we see a lion killing zebra or other animals in T.V we curse the lion or pity the animal killed by the lion, but after cursing or showing pity we go to the kitchen and eat chicken meat or other meats of animals. We don't pity the animals who were killed to become our food, but we pity when we see them being killed. This is how the human's nature works.
Greediness is one of the greatest weakness of a person.
Wang Cheng hadn't eaten for many hours as such he was starving. He ate chips and drank some cola. He currently had no things to produce fire to cook some food, and he also didn't have any utensils to cook too. Wang Cheng thought the world would experience a famine or disease or outbreak or earthquake at worst, so he didn't buy any utensils and just bought food supplies, but he is never suspected monsters any appear. Who would be crazy enough to think monsters would appear out of nowhere??.
Wang Cheng continued his journey and encountered a group of monsters. The group of monsters was a pack of wolves, but they had no wolf lord in their pack so Wang Cheng didn't have to worry.
An axe appeared in Wang Cheng's hand, and he charged towards the wolves.
The wolves attacked Wang Cheng, but they were no match for Wang Cheng. No wolves survived the slaughter and Wang Cheng checked his stats. If it were before Wang Cheng would have to run away for his life if he encountered them but now it was different.

He had more than 13 stats point, so he invested five points in perception, five points in mana and three points in his speed. He had to carefully use his stat point otherwise he would simply waste them. Wang Cheng also had to find another weapon because his axe was soon going to be broken.

If he doesn't find another weapon soon he would have to fight monsters with bare hands. Wang Cheng continued to travel and reach a Jurong city. When he entered the city, he smell a strong scent of blood and immediately knew something was wrong. He looked at the city and was horrified when he saw the dead bodies of the people, it seems the entire city was massacred and many of the buildings were destroyed. Wang Cheng slowly walked keeping his guard up and noticed some noise.
It was noise of wolves who were eating dead bodies. Wang Cheng watched the wolves eating humans and walked towards them with an axe in his hand. The wolves noticed Wang Cheng approaching them and charged but Wang Cheng with a single strike killed one of them.

Other wolves surrounded Wang Cheng and charged. Wang Cheng just kept quiet and doghed the charge and killed them. Only one wolf remained but he ran away. Wang Cheng searched for survivers, but in the end, he only found the dead bodies of people. Wang Cheng simply couldn't believe a city once filled with people were massacred. Wang Cheng encountered some monsters but they were all killed.
Wang Cheng visited the stores and searched for food supplies. After he stored every thing he went towards the police station and looked for guns. When he entered the police station he found dead bodies of police officer. Wang Cheng sighed and prayed. After his praying he searched for weapons, but he didn't find, so he had to give up. He continued to search for survivers, food supplies and car. He finally found a car which could be operated.
He left the city with food supplies and went to another city.
Just as he was traveling he found a group of people waving their hands to Wang Cheng. Wang Cheng stopped infront of them and a girl approached Wang Cheng and begged, "Sir please take us with you the monsters are chasing after us"
The group contained four boys and three girls. The group looked very pitful, hungry, and they had ragged clothes. One of boys hand had been cut off and to stop blood-letting he had covered it with clothes.
Wang Cheng looked at them and said indifferently "Get in."
The group was very happy with his response, and immediately entered the car. After all of them entered the car Wang Cheng continued to drive.
The monster who were chasing the group of kids appeared. The monster was just goblins numbered more than twenty.
Wang Cheng sighed and said "You kid continue to stay in car I will deal with them" and got out of the car.
The kids were obviously horrified and was about to shout not to go but what they saw made them even more horrified. A complete massacre not even a single goblin managed to live. After killing them Wang Cheng wiped the blood in his face and went to drive the car.
The kids were horrified and didn't dare to utter a single word. Wang Cheng looked at the kids and asked, "How did you get here??"
The girl who previously asked Wang Cheng replied "We escaped from the city and tried to run away"
Wang Cheng was little surprised and asked, "Oh you mean Jurong city??"
The girl nodded but hesitated for bit and asked, "If it doesn't offend you which level are you??"
Note: Every person have system but the MC has an upgraded system which gives many features and one of the features is to activate a healing skill if he had health lower than 3 even when he is unconscious.
Wang Cheng looked at the girl and replied "I am level 4." He had no intention of revealing his level to strangers. He wanted to hide his strength until the group show their true clour but looking at them they were just innocent kids.
The girl was surprised and another boy exclaimed "No wonder the green monsters are no match for you"
Wang Cheng looked at the boy who had only one hand and asked, "How did this happen??"
Other kids hesitated but another girl replied with sadness "It was because of me he is in this state." It seems they had escaped from the Jurong city before the massacre began. The Jurong city was suddenly by the monsters and every one of them were killed. Some of the lucky ones had run away from the city, but still faced many obstacles. The group was one of the lucky ones who escaped from the city and tried to survive. While traveling, they were spotted and chased by the goblins and one of the girls was nearly raped by them but to save her the boy risked his life. The boy saved her, but lost his right hand. Jurong City was also not the only city which was massacred even cities like Jhuzhou, Nanjing, Huzhou and others were massacred.
Wang Cheng was surprised and felt anger to hear it, but he simply remained indifferent from outside.
