Chapter Three ..car accident

Suzzy ran very fast that she didn't get a chance to take a bite of the beans flakes .

"There she is ,catch her ..!" One security man pointed at Suzzy's direction .

Suzzy saw the rage in their eyes and instantly began shivering .

She held onto her pendant and prayed heavily for a saviour .

When they kept walking towards her ,she had no choice but to run through the streets like a crazy person .

She wasn't ready to go to jail over a simple food she stole out of hunger .

"I'm not a thief , circumstances has made me look like one today ...!"She cried out once she was out of the main road .Fear didn't make her realize that she had reached the middle of a T - junction .

"Hey watch out !" One security guard said at the far end of the road .

A brand new lamborghini veneno customized 'JR RIDDLES ' landed right in front of her .

The car stopped abruptly which made the master behind the seat shaken up in direction .

"What's happening Jordan ? " He asked , in his deep husky voice .His voice however was calm .

His daisy eyes and curled raised brows were composed of suspicions .

"Sir ,I think I run into a girl with the car! " Jordan who happens to be the driver said , all shaken up in shivers and in sweats .

He quickly got out of the car to check on the young lady who lied down in a pool of blood right in front of the car .

The number plate , ' JR RIDDLES ' was stained with blood which dripped down Jordan's brogue shoes ."Sir ,I ran into a young lady with the car! " Jordan once again said to his boss with trembling voice .

His legs wobbled at his immediate reaction .

"What ?! "The man stepped out after engulfing what Jordan just told him ."How could you be so careless about your driving ?!"

Jordan not hesitating any longer ,picked up Suzzy and put her in the passengers seat .

"Sir Riddles ,I...I...I'm so sorry about this !

Please don't sack me from my job , it's the only way my family gets to earn a living ,please! " Jordan pleaded .

"Too much talk won't solve the issue Jordan ,take the young lady to the hospital .I will follow later ...!"

"Okay Chairman Riddles...!"As soon as the lamborghini veneno drove off , a black Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita customized 'JR RIDDLES ' arrived at the same spot .

A group of journalists also geared towards him .

Wherever JR RIDDLES stood ,he always stole the limelight of the place .After giving out a few speeches to the curious journalists ,he made his entrance to the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita but stopped when he stepped on something roughy .

Usually ,he won't bother taking a look at what he stands on because he can afford it if it's destroyed .

Being a billionaire himself , what couldn't he afford ?

But this time ,it was different, he took off his shades and picked the shiny pendant from the ground which had a butterfly shape .

He laid it in-between his palms and rubbed it .

The name 'EJ ' which was boldly written on it stole his attention .

He quickly sat in the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita and ordered the driver to send him to Apollo International Hospital .

In his whole life ,he only knew one person who had a butterfly designed shape pendant with the inscription 'EJ ' on it .

She would constantly twist it around whenever she was nervous but he saw this lady and this pendant eighteen years ago when they lived in Santa Monica City .

Just as he was about opening the pendant ,he was interrupted by his driver.

Keeping the pendant in his pocket ,he nodded to the driver who alerted him about their arrival .

"Chairman Riddles ...!" A group of nurses ran to him .

"Your daughter needs blood ,she's also 'O ' positive just like you and she's facing traumas !

We don't know what can happen to her in the next five minutes if we focus on blood typing ..!"They chorused.

Since Chairman Riddles did his regular checkups at Apollo International Hospital ,the nurses were familiar with him and they knew his blood type as well .

Comparing it to that of Suzzy 's ,they concluded that he was her father and needed to donate blood to her before she passes away .

"His daughter ? Where did they hear that absurd information from ? " Jakes Riddles questioned himself .

Everyone knew that Jakes Riddles had no wife or kids ,at least ,as per how they saw him .

He was always on the media platforms however , never did he talk about his wife or kids if he even had any .

Over the past few years , several ladies have tried to jump into his bed just for recognition but he ignored them all .He was admired by many ladies but none caught his attention or recognition .

"It feels good to be called a father ,why don't I take a look at my "supposed" daughter instead ?"Jakes thought for a while "Okay , let's go !" He said to the nurses and they moved straight to where Suzzy was lying in the Intensive Care Unit . Once they got there ,the nurse who was attending to Suzzy approached him . " Sir ,your daughter ...!" She stammered at his looks .There was no doubt he was really handsome especially in his dark shades .

"Mmm...!" He nodded his head .From a distance and in so many years for the first time ,he felt as if his flesh was hurting , so he didn't complain much as he was addressed as an unknown father to an unknown child .

He donated his blood which was directly transferred into Suzzy's veins at that instance .

He felt his heart beat and hurt so much when he saw Suzzy fighting for her life .

For the rumour that she's Jakes Riddles' daughter ,she was given the best care for almost three months that she was confined at the hospital .

She was in a medically - induced coma for eight weeks and once she woke up ,she found it difficult walking .

She was taken through physiotherapy sections until she could feel her legs again .

Jakes kept visiting the hospital within these three months however ,he would only inquire about her health and look at her from a distance when she had her physiotherapy sections in the garden .

For three months ,Jakes stood by his window each night and wondered the connection he had with Suzzy .
