Chapter Seventy Seven ..son of a murderer

"They were killed Ben ,they were killed and they made Joaquin stay with them just to prove that they don't have a hand in both the death of Rodrigo and Don Roman Montgomery ."Suzzy analysed the story and told her deductions to Ben .

"You are really smart .Only those who are blind will believe their fake story of heart attack .

My father who was their loyal dog told me all this before dying .He wrote it in an unknown language that only the both of us understand .

That was when he felt as if he was been betrayed by the Montgomery's . Till date ,the Montgomery's don't know that I have the slightest idea of their crimes because they believe that my father who was their loyal servant carried the secret to death .

The secret of killing both Rodrigo and Don Roman Montgomery ."Ben broke the shocking news to Suzzy .

"So does this mean that your father was the one who killed both Don Roman and his son ? "Suzzy took her seat aback for a while .

"Yes ,he did it because he was forced too .However ,whatever being the reason ,my father was wrong .My father is the murderer and nothing can change about that .I'm the son of a murderer Suzzy ,the son of a murderer ! "Ben emphasized with a feeling of remorse .

"This secret had been my burden and so I told you the story of my dark past .

Why aren't you saying anything ? "Ben asked Suzzy .

"It's because nothing is your fault in this situation.Your father is dead and gone but the master minders of this murder are still alive .

Believe it or not ,everyone will receive a death that suits them .

Tell me Ben ,where is Joaquin Montgomery ?

Is he still dead or alive ? "Suzzy asked .

"On Joaquin's sixth birthday celebration ,the was a bomb explosion which was meant to end Joaquin's life but seeking to atone for the sins of my father ,I replaced a dead boy of Joaquin's age whose face wasn't to be recognized with Joaquin's body and taking Joaquin's unconscious body , I handed him to Petra ,the housemaid of the Montgomery's and she took Joaquin away to take care of him somewhere else and far away from the Montgomery's .

The boy whose body I replaced with Joaquin's was Petra's illegitimate son who passed away as a result of the bomb explosion and until today ,the Montgomery's know nothing about Joaquin's existence . They think that he's dead and I don't even know his whereabouts because in order to protect him ,I cut ties with Petra ."Ben narrated .

"So how come you left the Montgomery's ? "Suzzy brought his mind back to their initial conversation .

"I didn't leave but I was sacked because I almost got into a car accident and risked the young ma'am's life according to the reason given by Dulce Montgomery to get rid of me .

The truth is the car which followed right after me knocked his car behind mine and so I lost control and crashed the car against a pole .

The ironic part of it all is that ,I got severely injured and broke my arm badly but I was still thrown out of the house anyways and my allowances were not given to me either because they said that it will be used to fix the damaged car ."Ben said to Suzzy who was listening attentively .

"But ,what happened to Erica ? where was she ? "Suzzy asked one more time .

"I like your sense of thoughts Suzzy .You might find it difficult to understand this but Erica wasn't in the car .I had dropped her off at school and while returning ,I met with an accident. "Ben explained .

"Ha! I don't get it ,if Erica was at school and you met with an accident while returning and got severely injured ,then why were you sacked ?

Why were you blamed for putting Erica's life in danger ?

What was your fault ? "Suzzy asked with a concerned face .

"It's because I was Erica's driver .Also ,Erica told her parents that she doesn't like my driving and surprisingly ,I was so shocked to my bone when she told her parents that it wasn't the first time I had risked her life .She lied to her parents all sobbed up in tears that she fears that I will be the reason for her death one day .

Being the beloved daughter of her parents ,they sacked me without even giving me a dime to use in taking care of my family .

The main reason Erica hated me was because I once scolded her for soiling the uniform of one of her friends with juice for mistakingly stepping on her shoe .

Ever since then ,she had developed nothing but enmity towards me .I was shocked at how a seven-year old girl could manipulate the minds of her parents to throw me out of the house like I never did anything for them .Today I am who I am because your grandma employed me and I started working as a driver for your family .

Thanks to your family ,I'm now taking good care of my family .I'm not saying this because I want to get your favour but the truth is ,I owe your family alot because you are really good people ."Ben told Suzzy and she smiled .

"Errmm! so tell me about your family ,why haven't I met them ? Where are they ? "Suzzy said to Ben .

"I have two daughters but I have no wife ."Ben said point-blank .

"Okay ,so would you care telling me about what happened to your wife ? That is ,if you don't bother .

Don't worry ,you can choose not to talk about it if you don't want to .Truth be said , you've told me alot already ."Suzzy relaxed with her head up .

"My wife left after giving birth to our second daughter ,Erich .She found another man who was far richer than I am and left me for him in building another family ."Ben gasps for a while after saying that hard truth .
