The Beginning Of The Event

I remember being one of those players who always made sure that they would be able to attend any event that may happen in-game. Except for when the developers are trash at maintaining their game, all the events are fun after all.

Those were one of the fun times.

(Shun's POV)

Since it wasn't appropriate to talk outside of the gate, we invited them inside our house. Once we were inside, aside from Satania-san who was still munching on some melon bread, everyone else was looking around. Pochi, Tama, and Rokuko were even craning their necks, looking around our house in amazement.

"You know what, [Admin] Shun-san?"

"Yeah? What is it?"

"This huge house of your family proves that you're really rich…" Kaede-san said out of the blue.

"Uh-huh. Shun-kun, your house is quite huge isn't it?"

"Is it? Our house is relatively small, you know?" Miu replied. Similar to Shizuka-nee, Miu is quite oblivious about just how rich our parents are so she thought our house were small when it could definitely pass up as a small-sized mansion.

The reason why we didn't have to clean it so often was because there were maids who would come by twice every week to clean up the house for us. I told Mom and Dad that we didn't need any maids to take care of us, so this was the compromise that we arrived at.

"Small, you say… Miu-san, you're really quite air-headed, aren't you?" Rikka-san remarked bluntly.

"What are you saying that this is a big house? Isn't it quite small?" asked the clueless looking Satania-san.

Meanwhile, upon hearing our conversation, Rokuko, Pochi, and Tama chose to join in as well.

"Our inn is definitely bigger than this house so that should mean that its small?"

"Master [Admin-sensei]! Your house is so big nanodesu! Pochi wants to have a house like this too nodesu!"

"Tama, too~."

"This is not my house though. It's the house of our parents."

"Oooh~…"

"So it is what it is nodesu… Pochi understood nodesu!" You mean, "So that's what it is" Pochi?

"What's the difference between a house and a palace, Shun? Isn't Haku's palace bigger than this house?" Rokuko asked while tugging on my arms.

"I think it's not appropriate to compare a castle to a house, Rokuko."

"Eh? Is that so?"

After making the girls feel at home and showing them to the guests rooms that they will each stay at during the entire duration of the quest, we all gathered at the living room to discuss a few things regarding the quest… Or so I hoped.

Sitting beside each other and acting like they've known each other for years is my little sister Miu and Rokuko. On top of their laps are Tsuka and Fenny respectively who's also speaking to each other in broken [Rabbit Language].

"Hee, so her name is Fenny huh. Is she your rabbit, Rokuko-chan?"

"Shun gave her to me! Isn't she cute?" Rokuko patted Fenny on the head while saying so.

"Squeak… Squeak…? My Lady… Tsuka. How are… you?"

"Squeak, squeak~! Having, fun! With, Master~!"

When she heard Tsuka's reply, Fenny looked at Miu's face before asking once again.

"Squeak…? Who is… this, human?"

In response to her question, Tsuka patted Miu's hand before smiling brightly at Fenny.

"Squeak~! Miu, my Onee-chan~!"

"Squeak… Oooh… onee… chan…" Fenny muttered before looking up to Rokuko.

"What is it, Fenny?"

Aside from the Heilen and Vorpal Bunny — and their respective 'sisters' — Satania-san, Rikka-san and Mutsuko-san are busy eating some pastries while talking about the animes and light novels they've watched and read recently. Pochi and Tama, on the other hand, are busy defeating their strongest and most delicious adversary as of yet, the plate full of hamburg steaks and vegetables.

Kaede-san and I are busy looking after them whilst talking about the most recent update in [OSO].

After we were done making some plans… I mean talking about anything that came on top of our heads, we all went to our own rooms after eating dinner together. It was a fun and chaotic dinner as Rikka-san and Satania-san fought over the apple pie that I made for dessert.

Kaede-san was trying to pacify them but to no avail. Unbeknownst to the two, it was Mutsuko-san who profited the most in their conflict as she took away bite sized piece from both of their plates while elegantly munching on them.

After logging in to the game, I saw many people surrounding me talking about the new satiety system. They were all confused and did not know what to do at all.

There were NPC stores which were dealing with food items in this town but it seems like most of the players still didn't know about them.

It's been a while since I looked at my Senses. A lot has changed from before I went to Rokuko's dimension. First off, I upgraded my [Recovery Magic] to a Higher Sense called [Healing Magic] for 3 SPs.

Along with that upgrade, I also upgraded my [Action Restriction Release] for 5 SPs to a Higher Sense called [3D Restriction Release]. [Vital Points Knowledge] also got a derivative sense called [Hunter's Knowledge Lv53].

All in all, there were many upgrades that I have undergone and I am more than ready to face this new event.

Currently, our whole Guild is gathered together, ready take on the world. Although I say that, with the official event having a limit on the number of items that can be brought with us — which was set at 100, things were a little dicey.

So, for us to be on the safer side, we decided to split our resources and let everyone carry some consumables and [Boost Marbles].

Alchemy and Synthesis, the portable crafting kits for these as well as a cooking kit is one of the things I brought with me. Including my bow and ten sets of [Iron Arrows +10], I also have with me the finished three armour pieces that I commissioned Cloude to make for me.

Whilst I was deep in thought, Magi-san suddenly came to me.

"Do you have a moment Shun-kun?"

"What is it Magi-san?"

"Well, Cloude and Lyly wanted to participate as well but since I joined your Guild, there will only be the two of them."

"So you want them to join us?"

"…Yeah, if that's possible…"

"Sure, I don't really mind. Though they would be left out if our Guild went out to explore."

It didn't take even a moment for Magi-san to answer me.

"There's absolutely no problem with that! I'm sure they wouldn't mind. They're crafters after all!"

After that brief conversation, we all just spent our time chatting away. Of course, we didn't just burn time. I helped everyone arrange their items by converting those that could be converted and reverted back into higher quality items.

With that, we all had a whole lot of space to work with. That's except for our new member of the group which is Fenny. She just joined the game so her Senses are all still level 1.

You might ask, why is Miu no longer surprised that Fenny could also play the game? Well, let's just say that she was convinced by my bullsh—, eloquent explanation.

"So many people~…"

"There are lots and lots of people nodesu! They're like ants nanodesu!"

"Ugh… I really hate crowds."

"I-I'm feeling a little jittery too."

The ones who spoke were Tama, Pochi, Rikka-san, and Kaede-san. Satania-san is just acting all aloof while Rokuko, Miu, Magi-san and the other girls on Miu's party is busy in their own circle of conversation.

Currently, Pochi and Tama are playing around and is sitting on top of Mutsuko-san's and Magi-san's shoulders respectively. Fenny is obediently 'guarding' Rokuko while Tsuka is catch within the vice-like grip of Miu.

Whilst we were all busy, doing our own thing before the event starts in earnest, the voice of someone suddenly echoed all throughout the place where all the players who wanted to participate in the event gathered, the Town of Agann's town square.

『The official event will start soon. The participating parties are asked to remain in place. Non-participants are asked to move away from this place as soon as possible.』

There were few people who only looked at the scene from far away. As I looked at the people all around, players nearby had expressions of anxiety or full confidence.

The girls were no different. I could see mixed emotions among them.

『Now then, everyone who has remained on spot will be transferred into a different, special server. There will be a detailed description after the transfer completes. You might feel a slight shock, but there will be no effect on your body. 10, 9...』

As the countdown started, a visible tension appeared on everyone's faces.

『…2, 1, 0.』

Once the count down ended, my field of vision distorted. This feels exactly like when I'm getting transferred to another dimension.

"…Ughh, I won't ever get used to this feeling."

"This reminds me of our travels. I feel sick…"

"Feel siiick~…"

"Pochi is feeling dizzy nodesu!"

Looking around me, it looks like Rikka-san and Kaede-san are both on their knees, including the previously aloof looking Satania-san, as well as Mutsuko-san. Pochi, Tama, Tsuka, and Fenny are not a good condition either as their eyes were spinning.

Around us, there were about ten groups, everyone was looking around restlessly. There were much more players who are participating, others must have been moved to a different location.

"Hmm. The parties were located all over the place~. This isn't an event for mass battle event." Magi-san said so while helping Rikka-san and Satania-san who are near her get up. I myself lent a hand to Kaede-san and Mutsuko-san.

"Thank you very mu—"

Just when the four girls wanted to thank us, an announcement rang out once again.

『Thank you for participating ladies and gentlemen. I am Yoshino Kazuhito from [OSO's] development department.』

In the sky, there was once again the hologram projection of the man from that video.

"It's that guy again…" I murmured.
