Partying Up With Myu; Getting Lost

Hey, Shun here!

I have a great sense of direction, just so you know. I've never been lost, ever.

It's a secret how I almost always get lost whenever I don't fully know the place I'm in. It's a lie that I have a great sense of direction.

I need a map and a general knowledge about the place so that I wouldn't get lost…

(Shun's POV)

"Meet my Onii-chan, Syun. He have the username 'Syunpo Panda' in this game! He's the one I told you yesterday! He will be buying our Crow Feathers and Tree Branches!"

"And he will also be joining our party, right? You forgot to say that, Myu-chan."

"Right! Thanks Luka-chan! Hehehe"

"Hahaha… Myu-chan got too excited."

Seeing the smile on my little sister's face, I also couldn't help but smile.

"Nice to meet you guys, I'm Myu's older brother. Since you are Myu's friends, you can call me Syun."

Even though Myu already introduced me, I still want to formally introduce myself to my sister's friends.

"Thank you for taking care of my sister all this time. I know how she could become a handful at times…" I then bowed my head to these two who seems to be good friends with my sister. I'm really thankful to see that my dear sister have some good friends who could hang out with her.

Myu is quite the frank person so she don't like to hang out with people who only pretends to be friendly with her. She's good at detecting whether a person is just putting on a facade.

In those type of things, her intuition is really sharp. She only hang out with genuine people.

Shocked by me suddenly bowing, Lucato-san and Hino-chan started to repeatedly wave their hands in a flustered manner.

"N-No need to bow Syun-san! We're friends with Myu-chan because we like her. There's no need to thank us for that!"

"R-Right! Even though I only met her for a day or two, I think Myu-san is a good person!"

Unlike her two party members, Myu is flustered for a different reason.

"O-Onii-chan! What do you mean by me being a handful!"

"Exactly what it means, Imouto-chan."

"Ggrrr…"

Seeing me fold my arms and show a smug expression at her, Myu could only growl at me.

"Maa maa, Myu-san. Let's just give your brother the arrow materials we have."

"Hmph! Fine! We still have to hunt Big Boars after all!"

While Lucato-san tried to calm down my pouty little sister, Hino-chan walked towards me before registering ourselves in each other's friend list. She then sent me a trade request.

"Here, Syun-san. We were thinking of selling these to the NPCs but they always buy it from us at half the price."

"Haha. Yeah. They do that to all items, right? Yesterday, I sold quite a lot of items but I only got 7,200G for all of it."

While we were conversing, I accepted the trade request. In exchange for the 900 Wooden Arrows worth of crafting materials, I paid her 1,000G even though I could have given her 100G less.

"Eh? You gave me more than the market price, Syun-san."

As expected, she noticed. Well, she's a β player as well so I think that this amount of money is just chump change to her right now.

"It's fine. It's some kind of thank you gesture from a newbie like me."

"Hehehe… Myu-chan told us that you have higher leveled Senses than her, though." I could only laugh at her remark.

By the end of our small trade, I received 3,300 arrow's worth of material. Lucato-san seems to have the most items from the three as she is quite diligent at collecting things that she happen to see when they're on the outskirts of the eastern forest to farm EXP.

She was really overwhelmed when I paid her 2,000G for the materials worth 1,800G. It's obvious that she's also a beginner like me in this game.

As a fellow slightly richer beginner, take this as some sort of thank you from me, Lucato-san. With that, I have only 33,900G.

After the trade, we all went towards the forest while my back is being hit by piercing gazes on the way.

Well, It's to be expected, I guess?

Walking around with three cute and beautiful girls would certainly gather the men's attention. Not like I care though.

"So we're gonna hunt those Big Boar mobs on the forest? Just of be clear, do you guys have enough defense to withstand its attacks?"

"Well, I already told you the level of my Senses, Onii-chan. With [Recovery Magic] and some Beginner's Potion, I'll somehow manage!"

Really now? If you could just barely survive an attack, that's not gonna cut it. I wanted to say that, but it's not like I'm one to talk.

"So our vanguard will be Myu-san and Hino-san while I will be the middle guard and Syun-san will be the rearguard?"

"That's basically it, Luka-chan! You should try taking some damage from it when your [Armour] Sense reaches 10. Me and Onii-chan will heal you with [Recovery Magic] so you don't die! Hino-chan too!"

"Well, I guess I won't refuse the leveling opportunity? But, can Syun-san really cast his heals from afar?"

"That's right Myu-san, isn't there a range for the heals?"

"Ah! I totally forgot!"

While the girls are conversing, I interjected. My heals will reach since I have the targetting capabilities of [Hawk Eyes] now.

"I'll somehow manage, trust me. I just had a major discovery last night that could help me in this range spellcasting problem."

Although skeptical, the girls still nodded their heads.

Once we're inside the forest, I volunteered to scout and look for our target. With [Hawk Eyes] constantly being active, I managed to spot the target in no time, the Big Boar.

"Myu, Lucato-san, Hino-chan! I found the target!"

"Really? Can you pull it to us, Onii-chan!?"

"Yeah. Wait a sec."

"""Eeeeeeeeh!?"""

"I was just joking about that, though!"

I ignored the surprised voices of the girls as I aimed my arrow head at the boar for a moment before pointing it at the sky.

""Long Range Shooting"!"

Upon activation of my [Bow] Sense's [Arts], the string of my beginner bow let out a whistle as I released the arrow. The arrow created a parabola in the air before eventually hitting the Big Boar who is standing from afar.

"PumUoOo!"

In its rage, the boar charged towards my direction when it spotted me. When the boar is around 11 or so meters away from me, I activated my next [Arts].

""Rapid Fire Bow - Twin Needles"!"

With my opening shot and the "Rapid Fire Bow - Twin Needles", I managed to chip away around 11% of its HP. It looks like my Sense growth yesterday is really giving me an edge now against this boar.

With a smile on my face, I ran towards the direction of Myu's party.

"Myu, you can intercept it any time you want! "Enchant" — Defense!"

While passing by Myu, I gave her a defense buff before heading to my position—at the far back of the formation.

"Roger!"

With my queue, Myu stepped forward, facing the boar. However, just when it looks like she's going to receive the Big Boar's charge head on, she sidestepped before parrying the left tusk of the boar using her sword.

"Kuu! This mob have such a high damage! —"Heal"!"

"Let me help you, Myu-chan! Haa—"Impact"!"

While Myu healed herself, Hino-chan gave her a helping hand and blew away the Big Boar with her huge hammer. The damage is quite negligible but the knock back effect is really good.

It's kinda surreal how a petite girl like Hino-chan could blow away a boar that's clearly bigger and heavier than her, though. As expected of a fantasy game.

While the boar got slightly blown away, Myu took this chance, along with Lucato who seems to have the same thing in mind, to attack the boar.

"Hyaa!—"Delta Slash"!"

"—"Delta Slash"!"

Since the boar is still quite groggy, I also joined in to do some ranged damage.

""Rapid Fire Bow - Twin Needles"!"

After that, I just provided slight ranged damage and support by healing and providing buffs. We're here to gain experience so I didn't dish out big damages.

Once we're done killing that boar, we killed about 10 more.

"We'll be going to the west now, Onii-chan! Thank you for accompanying us!"

"Yeah! You were a big help, Myu-chan's Onii-chan!"

"Thank you for your help, Syun-san…"

"Haha, it's fine. Also, you can just call me Syun. You're Myu's friends, after all." I had a brief conversation with them before they left.

Both Hino-chan and Lucato-san is quite friendly overall. It was quite fun to hang out with them.

After a few minutes of conversing with each other, we decided to go on our separate ways just before lunch. It seems like, since their whole party now have around level 16 Senses in average, they decided to train in another location.

I, on the other hand, roamed around the forest aimlessly while occasionally picking up some items on the ground. While wandering around, I didn't notice that I got too deep inside the forest.

Totally oblivious to my surroundings, I leisurely crafted Wooden Arrows in silence. My Senses slightly grew during that hunt so I'm in quite a good mood.

Crafting Senses got a huge boost because of the many crafting items to use. [Enchant] and [Recovery Magic] got a pretty huge boost since I did a lot of supporting today.

[Hawk Eyes] is always active so it also got a huge boost in level. After dinner, I'll continue crafting and exploring.

Looking at my status, I smiled contentedly and logged out.
