Chapter five: Setting Off to Azure Sky Town

What Lin min didn't know was that he was just lucky to get timely assistance and even the system wasn't that optimistic about Lin Min's chances of survival when it told him the mission and was already preparing to activate its backup plans.

[Host is truly a man with great luck, now I don't have to use that thing yet this early, it would have really been a shame, it's just like dealing with an ant with a nuclear missile from host's home world ] The Revenant system sighed in relief inwardly .

Meanwhile, Lin Min soon heard footsteps rapidly approaching his direction, but these footsteps sounded lighter and more elegant than the footsteps belonging to the man that saved him so he concluded it was someone else, probably the man's companion.

His guess was proven right when he heard a voice call out to him, "This fatty over there, are you still alive?" The voice carried a worried tone, and from the tenderness and softness of the voice, Lin Min could tell the owner of the voice was a girl probably between the age of 10 to 12, and also from her heavy breathing she sounded sick.

'I have to find a way to get into shape otherwise people this fatty label will follow me around ' Lin Min decided in his heart before answering with great difficulty hoping to get something to alleviate his pain a little bit,

"yeah I'm alive... But Barely"

"I see, eeeyah look at your pitiful appearance, why would you come somewhere as dangerous as this being so weak....." to his surprise the voice didn't offer to help him tend to his wounds but began to harshly berate him with an annoyed tone.

Lin Min was speechless.

'Did I encounter another blind person like me, can't this girl see that I'm bleeding to death here, first that stingy system and now a blind child acting like an elder? ' Lin Min cried in his heart, he could imagine the girl putting her hand by her waist as she berated hum like an elder sister.

"Don't you know how worried your parent will be if they find out where you are and your condition...." She continued nagging unaware of his thoughts.

Lin Min couldn't take it anymore and quickly interrupted, "fairy can you please say all this later..... Help me first...I'm losing so much....blood and I'm ev- even seeing a br-bright....light, I just need a n-nap" after squeezing out those words his consciousness blurred and he passed out.

Seeing the Fatty suddenly fall caught the nagging girl off-guard and her words were brought to a halt for a moment before she screamed anxiously then leaned forward to catch him, "hang in there, don't step into the light... Stay with me"

she caught him but her weak body couldn't support the weight of Fatty Lin Min so she staggered backward before falling with Lin Min in her embrace, but before she landed she called out, "uncle Tao, quickly bring him inside the carriage and help him heal"

Jun Tao just returned from finishing off the remaining two howling silver moon wolves and flaying their skin as well as harvesting some useful parts of their corpses, when he heard his young miss troubled cry, then he saw her about to fall, his face darkened and shot forward so fast that he left deep marks and clouds of dust as he ran.

Although he was initially far away, he managed to catch both the fatty and his young miss. After helping his young miss regain her footing Jun Tao then held the body of Lin Min on his shoulders like he was carrying a sack of wheat.

"Young miss, are you okay," Jun Tao asked with a weird expression on his face as he looked at his young miss.

Her face was red like a tomato and she was breathing heavily because of what just happened, as a young lady this was the first time anyone after from physicians touched her so closely and a male at that, moreover she was the one that even took the initiative to embrace him... Why did she do that Uncle Tao caught him anyways?

She chuckled at her actions and immediately ran inside the carriage with her face buried in her arms like a scared cat.

But soon her voice echoed from within the carriage, "uncle Tao, he'll stay outside beside you at the coachman sit, please see if you can help him recover some of his injuries and possibly wake him up before we get to town so he can tell us where he's from"

"Roger that young miss" Jun Tao answered politely.

In his head he thought, 'the young miss needs to go out more, how can she get all red when her skin merely brushed off this unconscious fatty" Jun Tao shook his head and then brought the benumbed Lin Min to his boot before applying some special ointment brimming with life force on Lin Min's injuries.

The ointment proved to be effective and Lin Min's bleeding stopped and his injuries began to heal at visible pace, except for the two large holes in his face.

"That's what I can do, you poor thing as for whether you will be able to recover your eyes only fate would tell" Jun Tao solemnly muttered.

To be honest he felt sympathy for the fatty in his heart.

Even if this child recovered he might end up blind forever unless he uses all those high-level spiritual pills or reach a very profound cultivation.

The former might be possible if the fatty came from a large background with considerable wealth and were willing to spend it to invite an alchemist or physician to heal the fatty but from his clothes, the fatty didn't look like someone with any kind of background.

The Later option was even more impossible for the fatty to achieve, in Jun Tao's eyes after all he noticed the fatty's meridians were completely shattered and he likely wouldn't even be able to cultivate in his life.

'sigh...That has nothing to do with me though, I better get going master must be worried already' Jun Tao shoved his thoughts aside while shaking his head, then he picked up the reins and gave the dragon colts some slack, "let's go fellows!" He called, and the dragon colts started up with a will.

Moments later the Carriage set off once more through the shadows of the forest, their destination- Azure sky town.
