Becoming His Wrong Bride

James does it all. He watches his bride walk down the aisle to him, he lifts her veil, smiles and kisses her when the priest asks him to. All was right. He could practically hear the cha-ching of money as his company was now officially merged with her father's. Maybe he also liked her smile and the sound of her voice. But disaster strikes. Who had he married? When he learns that his good for nothing brother had knocked up the girl he was engaged to, he feels the first stab of betrayal. The sweet, innocent girl he had married instead didn't seem so sweet to him anymore. No amount of money made James swallow this utter humiliation. He seeks revenge. From who else but his wrong bride?

Evelyn's POV.

I woke up with the events of last night still fresh in my mind. How can someone be this handsome, smart, mature and dashing at the same time? He was everything a gentleman is like, the way he talked, the way he gently placed his hand on her back and opened the car door for her or pulled har a chair. He looked so charming when he smiles.

"Hurry up Eve! You are getting late. Benny would be here soon" mother shouted. Quickly, I sprinted toward the bathroom for getting ready and imaginative world collapsed.

I went to the kitchen after my daily morning routine, the smell of pancakes hit my nose.

"You overslept honey" mother said while making more dough for

pancakes.

"Yeah. I was a bit tired. I'll just have one cake you don't have to make more" I stuffed my mouth with it and ran toward the door. Benny was waiting as usual.
