Chapter 29: The Crown of the "Non-Believer" and the Beginning of the Three-Way War

Author's Note:

I just want to inform you that I have modified Sienna's biological age at Dipper's departure, as well as Sienna's relationship with Pacifica. It's no longer a "simp" relationship with a manipulative woman, but rather that of a mother with an overpowered child.

These changes were necessary and their new relationship won't alter the outcome of this final arc in the Gravity Falls world, but will simply give it more meaning.

================================

Dipper's POV

"As expected of you, father, you resolved the situation with Time Baby shortly after your return," Sienna declares after finishing her laugh.

"Yes. May I ask why you're quarreling with AM?" I inquire out of curiosity.

I had foreseen countless possibilities for the future, but I hadn't imagined there would be a conflict between my two creations: AM, who inherited my works like the SCP Foundation, and Sienna, who inherited a version of Vegapunk's fruit as well as my DNA, thus my mind in a way.

The two are technically two parts of myself and they are currently in opposition.

"His way of proceeding in his research is simply too inhuman. I find his methods too radical for controlling humanity," Sienna declares, frowning as she remembers the traces of the memory gun on the Northwests.

I wasn't really interested in the fact that AM might use humans for experiments. I could simply reset this timeline later or just abandon it. Anyway, this timeline will suffer enormous damage after my passage, and AM knows it very well.

"I see. How are the Northwests and the Mystery Shack members doing?" I ask out of curiosity.

I had a clear idea of their situation, but I just wanted to be sure.

"AM cryogenized mother Mabel after a few years, but he let the others die of old age, finding them useless," says Sienna, her eyes filled with complex emotions.

The reason is probably due to the danger of prolonged cryogenization; human or biological tissue doesn't resist cold for long.

I think AM could find a solution for this, like strong regeneration to replace cells killed by the cold, but these kinds of options are always tedious to manage in the long term.

"Only mother Pacifica is currently alive and active, for reasons that still escape me," she explains.

"Pacifica is still alive??" I say, surprised.

Sienna nods before calling a guard to order him to bring Pacifica.

"She'll arrive in a few minutes," she says, crossing her legs on her throne. I can tell she has indeed grown up a lot.

"DIPPER!" Pacifica cries out, rushing towards the holographic screen.

"It's been a long time," I say, smiling slightly at her.

I can see that she has aged. She had the appearance of a woman in her late twenties and wore a black futuristic suit.

"How are you?" I ask, trying to inquire about the situation.

"I'm fine, thank you. And you, how is your journey going? Sienna explained the situation to me back then," Pacifica asks, clearly worried.

"I'm fine, don't worry, and my journey has been beneficial," I say, making the symbol of the Time Giant appear on my forehead before making it disappear.

"I see, but... Was it worth it?" Pacifica asks, looking at the ground.

It seems that the friendship I developed with her has evolved in an unexpected direction.

"Saying no would be lying, and I don't like to lie," I say, looking at her.

Since my reincarnation, I've been living literally in lies. I stole Dipper Pines' body, but also his life and his family. I don't know how many times I've lied to Mabel or Pacifica. Hell, even GIFfany is a victim of my lies, even though she's the person who knows the most about me.

If there's one thing I have in common with Bill Cipher, it's that I'm a liar. Even if at first I did it to survive, now I've simply gone too far to turn back.

"I see... When will we meet?" she says, her gaze shifting from sad to full of expectation as she asks her question.

"During the war with the SCP Foundation, or shortly after. And you, Sienna, will you come with me or stay out of it?" I ask the one who proclaims herself my daughter.

"Listening to you talk with Pacifica and me, you seem to have the same cold opinion on things as AM," she says, frowning.

I couldn't deny it and I don't intend to. I already had a lot of blood on my hands and I didn't want to play the hypocrite in this timeline that isn't mine.

"For the evolution of science, there's always a price to pay, Sienna. And why on earth have you been calling Pacifica and mabel 'mother' for a while now?" I say, slightly uncomfortable with the situation.

"I heard from Pacifica that you were very close to her, and although Mabel is my aunt, she wanted me to call her that along with Pacifica," Sienna explains with a strange smile on her lips before resuming a serious face.

I realize she hadn't mentioned if Mabel was dead, but she talked about the Mystery Shack people. I doubt AM let her die since I gave Mabel alpha-level authority.

Only I have higher authority over AM than her.

"I can't follow you, father. I don't like the way you look at Pacifica and me," she says in a neutral tone.

'In the end, he's like AM and the council members who only think about experiments, regardless of the cost,' Sienna thought, sighing with disappointment.

She had already met these pseudo-brothers and sisters of the O5 council, she could tell that AM had modified the Seraphim project midway.

"I see, haha," I say, laughing.

"Okay, I guess you're neutral, aren't you?" I ask to be sure.

"Apart from AM, I have no problem with you," she simply replies.

"If you don't, but I do. I don't want neutral groups," I say, scratching my head, slightly frustrated by the situation.

I gave Seraphim 01 free will to observe its future development. Frankly, I'm happy with its evolution but frustrated by its questionable loyalty.

"So, I'll have to reclaim my house and correct my daughter. What a pain," I say to no one in particular.

During our exchange, Pacifica seemed slightly lost in her thoughts, but my voice brought her back to earth.

"Pacifica, I'll come get you myself later, so wait a bit longer," I say before hanging up the holographic call.

.

.

.

[Are you sure we really need to have another war?] GIFfany questions, appearing behind me.

"War is the best way to evolve quickly and, to be frank, I wouldn't call this a war," I say, looking at my laboratory.

[What are you holding in your hands?] GIFfany asks, observing a silver crown with green lines engraved on it like veins.

"Nothing very important. Were you able to steal the information from Sienna's base during our conversation?" I ask, using my flashlight to shrink the crown into a ring.

[Yes, I was able to enter their system and seize their data], she declares with eyes that scream "praise me".

"Good work, but can you leave me alone for a while?" I ask after trying to pat her head, but passing through the hologram.

[Okay, but don't take too long], she says, disappearing.

After GIFfany's departure, my smile slowly fades to give way to a frown as I look at this crown, or rather this ring.

I created this object inspired by Marvel's Cerebro and also the Ice King's crown in Adventure Time. It boosts my intellectual capacities to crazy levels and allows me to manage the Time Giant's devil fruit.

"Unfortunately, nothing is really perfect," I sigh with disappointment.

Every time I wear this thing, my empathy is close to zero because of my extremely logical mind. It seems to be a side effect of having too high an IQ.

I tried to remedy this, but nothing worked, even wearing it during my work to try to fix it or create another version without this problem.

"Anyway, it's my enemies who need my pity and empathy during this war," I declare to no one in particular as I put on the ring.

As a great man said: {Pity is the sister of weakness; it testifies to a capacity to be affected by the pain of others, often to the detriment of one's own strength}.

"This crown will be called 'the crown of the non-believer'," I say as I leave to work after signaling GIFfany to come back.

I had to update the troops' equipment before dealing with the SCP Foundation and Sienna.

Author's Note: I want to specify that the modifications I made to the introduction of Sienna and future Pacifica won't change their final destiny, but they are necessary if you want to understand these characters' motivations.

Bonus Note: There is a hidden meaning behind the name of the crown that Dipper wears as a ring.
