Clyde Porter was in his large office on the sixth floor of Priceless building, sitting in a chair behind his desk with a pretty girl on his knee, openly flirting with him. He was a little annoyed by the call from his sister that made him end his pleasure with the beautiful girl in his embrace.
"Yeah, I just saw the news... I didn't know about this project." He replied quickly, wanting to end the conversation as soon as possible so he could get back to what he was doing.
"How come I didn't know about this new movie? I definitely want to be in it. I heard that Ethan would have a romantic scene in it. I want that part... Brother, help me... Didn't you say you'd someone working there?" Aria pleaded with her brother, for her this role could only be played by her! She couldn't give the place to another woman!
"Yes... And I wonder why that idiot didn't tell me about this movie... Let me call him, don't worry, you'll get the part." Clyde frowned, thinking about it, he really should have found out about this new movie before!
He was furious that he'd missed out this new project. If he'd information about this movie beforehand, he would have time to think about how to get his artists into that movie. RoyalStars's movies were always popular so having an actress from your company playing in those movies was always an advandage.
After he finished talking to his sister, he called the mole he'd placed in RoyalStars. Not wanting to miss out on these kinds of opportunities, he'd gone as far as to send someone there. He wanted to know what was going on in their first competitor.
"Why didn't you tell me there was going to be a new movie? I have send you there to get some more information!!! you're just as useful as a flowerpot!!!! Or did you forget because you get paid well there? My sister needs a part in this movie, I need information on the cast and the people doing the casting!" Clyde exclaimed in a drawl, frustrated, 'how can he give such a fool such a task...' he thought.
The employee who worked for him at RoyalStars was named James, he was sent there as a spy because he owed Clyde some money and at that time, he couldn't repay him. So, when he offered him this job, he didn't hesitate. But to tell the truth, he felt comfortable in this company, the people were good and fair, he didn't have any stress except doing his job well. He was hired on his own merits, and Clyde just made him do all kinds of weird things.
"I didn't know anything about this movie, to be honest, it was a surprise even to the people who work here. As for the cast, all I've heard is that all the first three roles have already been cast. the second female lead is already set, but I don't know who she is." said James.
Clyde didn't like what he just heard, missing out on these kinds of opportunities wasn't good for him, the company wasn't doing well, he needed more projects to get the business going again, and besides, his sister wanted to be in this damn movie! He didn't know what she liked about Ethan, but if his sister could've him, maybe he could work for them! So, he was determined to help his sister.
"See if we can change the director's mind, or the people in charge of casting, I need at least one of our artists in the lead roles! And get me that script as soon as possible!"
James didn't know what to do, he was just a lowly employee, how was he supposed to get a script for a movie, he wasn't even in the film department! And what if he got fired over it? He couldn't dare do that! Internal news he could pass on, but this... he was too scared.
"That's going to be difficult; I heard that the one who'd the final say in casting is Miss Leila, and the director of the film is known to be very strict with his actors; if he's already settled on one actor, it's hard to change his mind! ..."
When Clyde heard this, he was incredibly pleased with the news, if he couldn't use money with the film director then he could definitely have control of any women he wanted, he was sure of his charm, growing up he'd always been able to get any woman he wanted, it wasn't a challenging task for him.
Clyde Porter, thirty years old, is the first child of Alan Porter and Shella Walz, he was born in a rich family with a silver spoon in his mouth. He is arrogant and think he own the world. Now he is the manager of PRICELESS. He isn't very tall, about 1.70 m, he has some charm, but you can't say he is very handsome.
Yet he thought he was the most handsome man in the world and that he could've all the women he wanted.
As he was thinking about how to use Leila, his sister called him back.
Aria was dying to know if she'd get the part, so she couldn't just wait, "Brother, did you find a way to get me in the movie? I want a lead role!!!" She screamed.
"Don't worry, you'll get it! I've a backdoor..." He laughed, already thinking everything was settled.
"I knew I could count on you bro!!! So, I'm waiting for some good news!!!" Aria was happy to hear her brother's words and was already waiting for the good news.
Across town, Alex was home alone watching some drama when she received a text from Ethan asking if she wanted to have dinner with him. She was happy after reading the text. In fact, she liked his company and wanted to get to know him better. So, she accepted his invitation without hesitation.
At 8pm, Ethan was waiting for her outside her building loft. When she arrived, he was once again overwhelmed by her beauty. At this point he thought she'd always be the most beautiful woman in his eyes in this life, not that there weren't more beautiful women out there, but she'd a charm and presence that was impossible to miss.
She wore a black skirt, a red one-shoulder top, and a pair of red stilettos. Her face was lightly made up, her red lips were the key to her charm that night, and with her hair blowing in the wind, she looked so attractive and stunning that Ethan was lost for a moment.
"Hi," Alex's sweet voice rang out in the air, startling Ethan out of his reverie!
"Hi, girlfriend! You look stunning tonight," Ethan quickly regained his composure and a smile graced his face.
"Really? Thanks!" She blushed a little at the compliment. "So, where are we going tonight? Shouldn't I wear a mask and a hat like the other night?"
Ethan saw her blushing face, even only for a second, and couldn't help but smile.
"We're just going to dinner... I don't want to hide your pretty face, and the place we're going is well guarded, plus it's dark now, they won't be able to get a clear picture of your face. And if they get a picture of us, that's good too, so don't worry." replied Ethan, opening his car for Alex.
"But the purpose of our meeting isn't to get caught by the paparazzi?" Alex was a little confused, "wasn't this date a show for the paparazzi?"
"I'm not boring enough to date a woman just for the sake of the paparazzi." Ethan smirked; it amused him how Alex could be so innocent.
Alex's mouth dropped open, she'd gotten used to this reaction because every time she talked to Ethan, she felt like the man always had something unexpected to say, "We're dating? Wasn't that just an act?"
"Do I look like I've enough time for fake dates?" said Ethan as they drove, he could see the lost expression on Alex's face, "you can ask all the questions you want when we get to the restaurant," he added with a sweet smile.
Alex was a little taken aback. She thought he really was a straightforward man. She was liking that a lot.
