Beasts to Beauties: A Mother's Unearthly Gift

In the dark, under a strange-looking tree, a lady around twenty-something could be seen clenching her stomach and looking pitiful. She seemed to be in pain and was breathing heavily. Above her in the sky, the color was very black and blurry. Rain started falling, and the thunder was clapping loudly and violently. The wind was very thick, slapping everything harshly. The lady stood with the support of the tree, using one hand to prop herself against the tree and the other hand to hold her stomach tightly. She breathed out and continued moving weakly. "Seems like I'm not going to escape this. What type of poison is this?" she wondered. She unbuckled her belt to relieve some pain, then sat down somewhere and groaned while her hand wandered around on the wet ground until it made contact with something. She picked it up and saw the object with the help of the lightning. The thing was round like a bead, and something joined them together. She did not care about what it was and just swallowed it. She was going to die anyway, at least she ate something. She could not figure out the taste of the thing, but it was surely not normal because as soon as it made contact with her throat, it felt very hot, as if she had drunk hot water that had not cooled. "Sh*t! Even in death, my luck is still very bad," she muttered. She was still lamenting when her aching stomach suddenly stopped aching. She did not have the chance to rejoice when her stomach started swelling up, getting bigger and bigger. It was as if it wanted to burst but, alas, it didn't. She could feel herself in labor. She groaned until something escaped her body - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. She was relieved from both the poison pain and her swollen stomach pain. In a room, six people sat down with different expressions on their faces.

Black Dot was looking at Snow, who was busy with her phone, with a mixed expression. "Forget it, since she is this calm, her ability must be impressive. I should be calm as well," he thought to himself and sighed. It was clear he wasn't calm at all.

At the entrance, there was a knock that gained everyone's attention.

Snow raised her head and looked at the entrance, then glanced at Boss Red.

Boss Red coughed lightly and went to open the door, his jaw almost dropping at the people standing outside.

At the entrance was a group of six in blue-colored shirts - five men and one lady. Upon seeing Boss Red, they all had arrogant expressions on their faces. "I'm just here to confirm if you losers really showed up. It's a surprise you're here. Are you ready to leave with your heads hanging low again?" The whole group laughed.

Boss Red sighed. "Don't think victory will always be yours, Henry. I bet you will be on the losing end today," he said.

"Haha!" Henry laughed. "See who's talking." The whole group laughed. "Look, we, the Scorpion Group, are known worldwide. We never lose; we always lead," he said arrogantly.

"Boss, why are you bothering with them? They're nothing but trash," one of Henry's gamers said.

"You think highly of yourself. My father has always been the top gamer. I was there when he defeated your club's founder to the point of submission," Black Dot interjected.

While what you said is true, our club's founder still found good students to continue his legacy. But what about you, as the son of your club's founder? You've only brought disgrace to his legacy," Henry mocked Black Dot.

"You..." Black Dot was about to launch an attack on Henry, but Boss Red stopped him.

"You, Scorpion Group, truly opened my eyes. I see you are too full of yourselves," a calm, melodious voice sounded, and everyone subconsciously looked in its direction. They saw a masked lady calmly walking toward them.

Snow folded her arms together and leaned against the door pillar when she reached the entrance.

"What should I say? You can't wait to bow your heads and admit defeat," she unfolded her arms and played with her gloved hand.

"Where did this white-haired ugly freak come from?". The female among the Scorpion group mocked.

"You better watch your mouth!" Black Dot shouted angrily.

Snow's eyes flashed with coldness, and the sudden drop in temperature went unnoticed by all except the lady, who felt her body growing colder. "I won't retaliate against your insults. I am a kind person and won't stoop to your level. It seems you're feeling cold; I suggest you take care of yourself. You might wreak havoc on the arena if you enter in that condition," Snow stated, giving her a chilling gaze.

The woman felt abnormally cold but managed to stay composed. "How did you notice?" she asked in surprise. While she was indeed feeling cold, the symptoms shouldn't have appeared so quickly.

Seeing that the lady was struggling, Snow offered a slight smile and released some of the cold temperature from her body. "My brother is a doctor, and the symptoms were evident on your face," she replied hiding some temperature that will act up later in her body.

Everyone looked at the lady and discovered her pale face and dry lips; it was as if she had just come out of a freezer.

The whole group of scorpions was dumbfounded. "Cherry, why?" someone wanted to ask the lady a question, but Henry stopped him.

"Don't speak about others, ugly freak, uncover your face," someone shouted.

"Sorry, boy. If I show you my face, you will wish to die immediately," Snow replied.

The person who spoke immediately shut up, imagining an ugly ghost.

Snow looked at Henry. "Why don't we make a bet?"

Henry looked at Snow's fair legs and gulped. Snow was wearing a short skirt, and thus her bare legs could be seen. Henry had been trying to figure out Snow's look since she appeared but he couldn't just point out what she looks like. "What is your proposal?" He asked, his gaze showing visible perversion.

Seeing the way Henry was looking at Snow, Black Dot wanted to pluck out Henry's eyes, but he knew he couldn't. He could only hide his dissatisfaction to himself.

Snow ignored Henry's perverted gaze and said, "If you guys lose, you will have to firstly apologize and secondly quit gaming," she said. "But if our group fails, I will unmask my face and allow you to do as you please with me," she smiled cunningly.

"Phoenix," Black Dot grabbed Snow's hand and turned her to face him, "are you crazy?" he asked in annoyance, staring into Snow's silver eyes.

Snow's heart started drumming as she stared at Black Dot. "I know what I'm doing," she said softly, trying to look normal. If not that she was wearing mask, one could see her flushed face which had beauty to her beauty.

Everyone in Star Soul Gaming Club was shocked, and the question in their hearts was, "Did he just hold a lady?"

"Deal!" Henry shouted, driving everyone back to reality, "You have to hold onto your promise. I won't back down on my promise as well."

"Even if you want to do that, I'm afraid it's not possible," Snow replied, tearing her gaze away from black dot.

Henry didn't take Snow's words seriously and left with his group. No one noticed the fog that escaped Snow's left hand and followed the group.

Somewhere at the corridor.

The lady named Cherry suddenly stopped walking and fell heavily to the ground.

"Cherry! What happened to you?" one of the male gamers rushed to her side, lifting her. Upon touching her, he recoiled, shocked by the intense coldness radiating from her body.

"What is it? Why did you pull away?" Henry asked, concerned.

"Her body is too cold. I can't touch her," the gamer replied, astonishment clear on his face.

Henry approached Cherry, tentatively touching her forehead, only to retract his hand quickly. "Why is she so cold?" he murmured, realizing the seriousness of the situation. "Call the doctor!" he shouted.

Yes, someone replied and brought went away to look for a doctor.

"Cold.... cold..." Cherry stammered with a shaking voice, she was shivering seriously.

No one dared to approach her, and they could only wait for the doctor.

"Gigilo announced that we give up the first round," Henry said to one of his team members.

"Yes," the guy named Gigilo replied and left.
