If you so much as poison her...

Ghost rued the day he agreed to her drunken proposal that she can do anything she wanted to him at anytime.

Of course, he had meant it in a more sexual and less violent manner, but little did he know that Kai Xin had pretended to be drunk. She had done it to make him into a human punching bag in the name of practice.

Ghost regretted teaching her street fighting skills. He can take her on during their normal sparring sessions but not when she was angry. It was as if her ability to kill was directly correlated with her emotions. The more intense her emotion was, the stronger was the punch!

Kai Xin rolled her eyes at Ghost and got into offensive stance. The moment he pulled the strap to secure the chest guard, she attacked without any notice.

Luckily Ghost knew about her tricks and had kept his guard up. He managed to dodge her left high kick by stepping aside. Without losing a beat, she immediately changed to a roundhouse kick which Ghost managed to dodge.

He managed to block three punches and two kicks before getting a swift kick to his hip and followed by a kick to his stomach that caused him to stumble backwards. Even though the chest guard was on, the pain was still pretty intense.

He was angered by her thirst for blood and started attacking instead of being fully defensive. He managed to punch her in the stomach once before she caught and threw him over her shoulders.

Ghost cried out when he landed on the floor, the air thrown out of him. He quickly kicked up before her feet connects with his face.

This went on for 20 minutes before they were both out of breath, and injured. In addition to the bruises on her body, Kai Xin ended up with a cut on her left eye, and a bloodied knuckles.

Ghost panted as he glared at her. He could have swore that there were two of her in front of him. He placed a hand across his abdomen and winced when he gently pressed on it. He suspected that he might have sustained cracked ribs...and possibly a mild concussion.

Phantom wheeled in and when he saw the two of them, he merely picked up the pack of chips on the table and snack on it while watching them staring at each other. "What happened? Did Ghost do something stupid again?"

Feeling indignant at the accusation, he yelled out, "Why is it always me?!"

Ghost immediately regretted his decision as his action had caused the pain to intensify. Glaring at Phantom, he growled, "This crazy bitch just started hitting me for no reason!"

He cried but Phantom merely ignored him and wheeled to the fridge. Upset from being ignored, Ghost just slumped down on the couch with his back facing the two.

"Are you alright?" Phantom took out a pack of ice from the fridge and threw it at her. He then took out another pack and wheeled to Ghost.

"Yeah, just something at work." Kai Xin said gruffly.

When Phantom saw her about to place the ice on, he warned, "Be careful! It might stin-"

"Fuck!" She winced when she placed the ice on her knuckles.

Phantom sighed at these two idiotic savant. He did some preliminary checks on Ghost before declaring him fine. As a bar owner, he had been through enough brawls to know when he should send the idiot to hospital.

She poured herself a full glass of whiskey on the rocks. After bottoming up the drink, she went to the toilet to clean up her wounds.

While she was in the toilet, even though it hurts, Ghost immediately limped over to the table and rummaged through her bag. When he found her box of birth control pills, he quickly replaced the contents with those in his own pillbox.

Alarmed, Phantom threw a pillow at him and hissed, "What the fuck are you doing?"

Ghost caught the pillow but not without significant pain. However, he ignored Phantom and merely put her pillbox back in her bag. His eyes kept glancing at the bathroom to make sure that she would not see anything.

When he saw Phantom glowering at him, Ghost sighed and explained, "It is to further our plan."

"I swear to God..." Phantom glared at him as he gripped the sides of his wheelchair tightly, "If you so much as poison her-"

"Relax." Ghost quickly added, "I won't poison her. I need her to stay alive for the plan to works."

When Kai Xin came out, the two men pretended that nothing has happened. However, Phantom kept glaring at Ghost. He wanted to rat him out but he was afraid that their plan would fail...or more like HIS plan would fail.

Ghost never trusted anyone enough to completely reveal his plan. Instead, he would divulge it one at a time. Everytime either of them asked him about the ultimate plan, he would merely tell them to trust him and, "When it is time for you to know, then you would know."

As Phantom poured everyone a drink, Ghost asked Kai Xin, "Other than your fucked up bitchy mood, do you have anything new to report?"

Fresh out of the shower and despite the pain, Kai Xin felt a lot better mentally. At the very least, she managed to get all the frustration out of her system.

"I've received the invitation to DX's party."

"Great." Ghost said without any emotions. His plan was moving smoothly.

"What's next?" Phantom asked as he handed him a serving of scotch.

"You'll know when it is time for you to know."
