Chapter 29:

Xiao Ren and Xiao Wei was the first to guard the group as the others rest first after they finish eating the food that was prepared by Xiao Xiu and Xia Ying. Xiao Ren closed his eyes while sitting cross leg, he meditate to absorb the energy in the surroundings as that is what he needs to breakthrough to Martial Apprentice but since he just breakthrough to the 9th layer he was still far from it. While Xiao Ren was meditating he also didn't really fully focused on just absorbing the energy of heaven and earth, but also pay attention on their surroundings.

As for Xiao Wei, she was sitting near Xiao Ren while also looking around but she seems to tense and nervous that she was practically making herself tired mentally. Feeling that Xiao Wei was too tense to guard "Xiao Wei you are too tense, just relax and calm down, just watch the surrounding for any activities that happened around us" Xiao Ren said to calm Xiao Wei as he felt she too tense and that will make her not detect the beast in case they got close to them.

"Uhh, ye-yes!" Xiao Wei said while she stuttered before she continued "Uhmm, Xiao Ren you are really amazing, you face a high level beast and killed it and also now you were calm and I feel like I can depend more to you" Xiao Wei muttered after she calm down when she heard Xiao Ren.

Even though Xiao Wei didn't said it loud, Xiao Ren managed to hear her words as he was focused in their surrounding that's why he heard her murmured "I'm not really amazing, I just work hard in training and becoming flustered and too tense while guarding is dangerous as it can make us more mistake" Xiao Ren said while his eyes were still closed.

Xiao Wei stared at Xiao Ren for a while when as Xiao Ren's words slowly sunk in to her, and when she fully understand his words she agreed with him with his last words that if they were too tense they will tired themselves and it can also lead them to make mistake while his former words she wasn't really sure if the things he do can be really be achieved easily just by training really hard like he said.

Silence filled the surroundings as Xiao Ren focused on meditating while also watching their surroundings while Xiao Wei also went silent to not bothered Xiao Ren and also look out in the surrounding but this time she was not tense and she seem calm.

The silence in the surrounding continued for about an hour before Xiao Ren's brows twitch before his eyes snapped open as he a movement in the bushes and tree's on their right. Xiao Ren stand up and bring his right hand to the sword hilt on his left waist "Xiao Wei be alert" Xiao Ren said while still cautiously looking at the place where the movement earlier.

After hearing Xiao Ren's words and his sudden action Xiao Wei also thought that their might be a beast so she also readied himself. "It seems only a single wild beast so you don't need to wake the others back, I will attack it, you watch out in case their is also another one" Xiao Ren said before he suddenly vanished in his place as he use his Tempest Lightning Movement technique and arrive the place where he sense a movement earlier and when he arrive their he saw a mid level wild beast and slash his sword toward it's neck and killed it in one move as it didn't have time to react at his attack.

"Huuh, were lucky that it was alone hahaha" Xiao Ren sigh before he said with a laugh before going back to his former place while pulling the beast with him and started taking the important part of the wild beast.

"Yo-you defeated it so easily..." Xiao Wei said with her shocked face while pointing her finger at Xiao Ren, and looked at the beast before bringing her gaze back at Xiao Ren.

"Well it was not really strong and my surprised attack succeeded so I easily killed it with my sword" Xiao Ren said while using a knife to take out the important parts of the beast before keeping it on his bag. After hearing him, Xiao Wei's ear keep hearing his words 'well it was not really strong...' Xiao Wei regained her calmness and thought 'that beast that was not strong is as strong as me or even stronger sigh' Xiao Wei thought and felt that she was still too weak.

Time past and after the beast that Xiao Ren killed another 3 beast that somehow got close to them and time to switch in guarding came. Xiao Wei go to Xiao Xing er and Xiao Ning to wake them up so they can guard so Xiao Ren and her can rest.

After a while Xiao Ning and Xing er go wake up and Xiao Xing er walk towards Xiao Ren and when she was near Xiao Ren she saw four dead wild beast body in the ground, so she guest it attack them while they were sleeping but Xiao Ren took care of it "Go and rest, Xiao Ning and I will guard now" Xiao Xing er said while looking at Xiao Ren.

"Alright" Xiao Ren said before standing up with the Black Myrtle Sword in his hands, Xiao Ren stretch his body before walking towards the tent they set up and enter it before sleeping. Xiao Wei also rest and slept as even though she was not as tense like form the start she was also nervous and that tired her mind making her sleep more faster.

After Xiao Ren and Xiao Wei rest, Xiao Xing er and Xiao Ning guard the place and like Xiao Ren, Xiao Xing er also meditate while also paying attention on their surroundings while Xiao Ning was calm while guarding and he didn't seem tense like Xiao Wei.

Xiao Xing er and Xiao Ning continued to guard the place and after half an hour Xiao Xing er suddenly attack with her whip and killed a low level wild beast in one of the tree. they continue to guard till morning and one by one the others wake up and the others were surprise that while they were sleeping they say 5 dead bodies of wild beast laying on the ground dead, after the others recovered from their shock they get ready and take down the tent they set up before the group started to move again to hunt a wild beast.

The group didn't move too far before they meet a three wild beast together, the wild beast is mid level wild beast "Since were here you should fight them, Xiao Tie, Xiao Ren and I will not join you, so you can have experience and train battling a beast, but we will make a move if you are in danger" Xiao Xing er said to Xiao Ning and the other whose cultivation is at 6th layer body cultivation.

"Alright" Xiao Ning said and nodded, while the others also nod their head as they acknowledge Xiao Xing er's suggestion. Then Xiao Ning and the others move and attack the beast, The fight continued till 10 minutes before the seven of them finally killed the three beast and fortunately they didn't need the help of Xiao Ren and the other two to kill the beast.

Xiao Ning and the others rest for a while before they continued to hunt, and like earlier they will let the Xiao Ning and the others to fight the wild beast if it is a mid level wild beast. If it is only one beast two of them will fight it or if its a peak mid level three of them will fight it.

This cycle continued till afternoon while Xiao Ren, Xiao Xing er and Xiao Tie made a move when they met another high level wild beast but they easily defeated it as it was not as powerful like the black panther like yesterday. When Xiao Ren and the others were setting the camp as they decided to rest near the lake they found.

After Xiao Ren and the others set up their camp they started to make a fire as they need it to cook for their food, while Xiao Xiu and Xia Ying was cooking, Xiao Ren stand up and walk towards the lake while holding the sword's hilt with his right hand.

Xiao Ren looked around for a while before he slash his sword before jumping back as something suddenly attack him. Xiao Ren focused his gaze at the one who attacked him and suddenly in the lake a shadow slowly surfaced and he saw a frog type beast.

"Sister Xing er come and help me the others move back and be careful... this beast is a low level rank 1 magic beast" Xiao Ren said grimly while his expression turned dark.
